Jesus was God in the flesh,perfect and holy. There was no way he could have failed and given in to temptations.
He went through the temptations to prove he was the Messiah. If he sinned he wasnt the one sent. That was its only purpose

If you know God and scripture well, you know that true free will is real. You know that God does not ''cheat''. We see this in how Jesus cried out to God saying He was forsaken.
Jesus endured all temptations with the same weak flesh as you and I. His mission was not to overcome the flesh and remain sinless. The only purpose for God being flesh was to be a sacrifice for our sins.
That Jesus did not sin ensured that He was a 10/10 perfect sacrifice. I am convinced that if He was anywhere on a 2-10/10 scale He would still have been a worthy sacrifice.
