Isaiah 65:17 tells us, “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.” Some interpret Isaiah 65:17 as saying that we will have no memory of our earthly lives in heaven.

That is an interesting thought. I have heard other people say that God will take away all of our painful memories. That makes sense, for how could we enjoy eternity if we were plagued by bad memories? But on the other hand, perhaps God will use some other mechanism to soothe us. Knowing the "whole picture" often really helps - knowing why someone did something, which may be really different than what we had surmised, and knowing the consequences of their behavior, etc. may totally change our view on the whole thing.

The verse you quote doesn't talk about memories, though. It talks about the new heavens and the new earth. It may be that the new heavens and the new earth are so much more glorious that we would have no need or desire to think about the old inferior things. Once you know how to walk, do you review in your mind what it was like when you were learning to crawl?

Perhaps it is along these lines:

1 Corinthians 13:11 (King James Version)

11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
