He Who Lets

^from death.

Elijah raised to life a person who died with God's power. Jesus raised Himself from death, he raised Lazarus from death. It is told that many people rose from the dead in the area around Jerusalem... I think it was either when Jesus came back or shortly afterword. But some have a problem with that.

Brad ...you need to show scripture to show where these things happened or I have a hard time believing it.

First one

1 Kings 17:17 Now it happened after these things that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him. 18 So she said to Elijah, “What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?”

19 And he said to her, “Give me your son.” So he took him out of her arms and carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his own bed. 20 Then he cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, have You also brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?” 21 And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him.” 22 Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.

23 And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house, and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, “See, your son lives!”

the second of Jesus and third Lazarus you hopefully know of, the fourth here in Matt 27:50-54

50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.

51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

These are the first ones I thought of, perhaps more occurred. Regardless, this idea out of Hebrews that once you are dead, that's it, isn't true in all cases "obviously"

I think perhaps Elisha did it as well, cant remember now, tired and ready for bed. Another day Bendito!

Do not forget that John the Baptist was born full of the Holy Spirit from birth so that same Spirit that was upon Elijah was in John.

Luke 1:15 For he (John) shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

The Holy Spirit was in the world since the dawn of time
John 7:39 (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was NOT yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

All praise glory and honor be unto God Amen

So John 7:39 you both say is a lie? God forbid.

No lie Little Sister.....The Holy Spirit has not yet been given We now have been given the Holy Spirit to live in us... In the Old Covenant the Holy Spirit would come upon someone but nobody had been given the Holy Spirit to live inside them....But the Holy Spirit has always been in/on the Earth...Just as Jesus has

So John 7:39 you both say is a lie? God forbid.

The Holy Spirit of God has always been around since day one. Only certain people were anointed in the Old Testament because of their calling. It was not just God's purpose for a few to be anointed, but all to have this gift. That could not happen until Jesus was "glorified" after he rose from the dead, and then seated on the right hand of his Father. When we read "..was not given.." that would mean not given to all to be able to receive.

You can not put new wine in old wine skins. The new birth was a necessity before the Holy Spirit could dwell within everybody permanently.

So John 7:39 you both say is a lie? God forbid.
Hi, no. It is as has been explained above. Here are some scriptures to help.

Gen 1:2 Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water.

Gen 6:3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years."

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

Nehemiah 9:20 You gave your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and you gave them water for their thirst.

Mal 2:15 No one who has even a small portion of the Spirit in him does this. What did our ancestor do when seeking a child from God?

Interesting topic....So who is "he that lets"? I agree that he who lets is the one new man mentioned in Ephesians 2:15 He is also called “The man child” "The Bride" The Christians who are in "Christ" Those who are walking in the anointing of Jesus....That means the one who lets is presently a part of the church and will come out of the church, because not all 'Christians' walk in that anointing. They claim the priveliges but deny the responsiblity. Kind of like children hey? I realize that this may be like poking a grizzly with a stick but it needs to be said. It needs to be pondered on by those who read it…

WE have been given dominion in the Earth…We are the ones with the responsibility to rule in the Earth… If we do not do that, then Satan will….We are the one that lets/allow. We are to become the One New Man… Being born again saves us from hell…Being born again does not make us soms of God but gives us the authority to become sons of God. How many Christians are actually working to become sons of God? How many of us actually take on that responsibility?

Nothing, NOTHING in the bible says salvation is automatic….You ask Jesus into your heart and then you have the responsibility to live for Him! You have the responsibility to live in loving obedience to Him! And if you do not? How can you be in the anointing if you will not walk in it?

Isn’t it time we put aside silly churchianity doctrine follow what the Word says?
