No commandments greater than these. How?

Back on topic

who in this thread says that they can Love there neighbor as themselves 24/7 I will be the first to admit I fail at this but will try better. Just curios on how others are doing with this.
And when we fail why is that? Perhaps it is because we are not asking of God as we should. Even pressing a little too hard against another on this forum could be an example of NOT loving our neighbor. This is why Paul writes that the "greatest of these is charity". What is this charity?

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." I Cor 13:4-7

It is obvious you have no idea that man has two natures, and until you learn that you will always get the scriptures wrong!

A man who has met the Master has two nature until and if he has killed the old man. Then will he not be like Jesus with a single eye and see Him as He is?

I am not coming the realization of anything. All born again have already overcome this world!!!
No, the purpose of being born again is our chance to overcome the world. Adam and Eve failed in their first change to partake of the Tree of Life without sin and left us with no way to overcome. Jesus overcame the world of his own temptations and made it possible for us to overcome our world of temptation. Now the Way is open, but we must take on the whole armour of God and walk through to the Tree of Life and partake thereof:

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." Rev 2:7

Have any who have been born again also overcome all of the world standing between them and God? Why should I doubt it? Is that not why God sent His Son to us?

The word, "repent" does not mean stop from sinning, it means, "to change your mind" No body can refrain from sinning until after receiving the Holy Spirit, and that does not happen until after one is regenerated!!!!
How can a person stop sinning if they are a slave to sin? Everyone on this forum knows that except for you
And everything to which we remain enslaved especially after we have met the Master needs to be overcome. This is a necessary part of our work while we are still here. If we do not overcome, how will we ever be allowed to eat from the Tree of Life and live forever?

Jesus is called, "the last Adam". The first Adam failed, the last Adam overcame this world. If you don't know it yet the last Adam lives inside everyone born of God who conquered this world on our behalf!!

1Jn 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1Jn 5:4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

Who are the people that overcome this world? Every single person who has been born of God!!!!!

1Jn 5:5 Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Joh 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you are trying to the overcome this world, then you do not believe you are born of God as it has already been done for all the children of God!!!

A man who has met the Master has two nature until and if he has killed the old man. Then will he not be like Jesus with a single eye and see Him as He is?
Error!!! all men have two natures. One which is Christ in me that can not be tempted to sin, and the other a human nature that can be tempted to sin. It is no longer I that lives, but Christ lives me"

So then a person who is still sinning, in spite of what he says, is not born of God. Many I believe do not really understand what it means to be born of God but they keep saying that they do because of what some man told them. Have we heard from God lately?
I hear from God every day of my life!!!!! The divine nature in man, which is Christ in me can never sin, but the human nature (flesh) that is still corrupt that needs to be kept under by walking in the Holy Spirit.

Hmmm? Did we earn our natural children? Yet, we too often hear the cries of parents whose children have died while still children?
Have we even been given a fine gift by a dear friend or loved one and in spite of our best efforts to keep it safe, lose it or have it stolen?
This child in who we are, can never die because it is born by the incorruptible "seed" of the Word of God.

And everything to which we remain enslaved especially after we have met the Master needs to be overcome. This is a necessary part of our work while we are still here. If we do not overcome, how will we ever be allowed to eat from the Tree of Life and live forever?
Every one born of God has already overcome this world. The only reason why someone would not overcome this world is because they are NOT born of God!!!

1John 5:4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

@Curtis
I might wish for your sake that you were correct my friend, but that is not in my hands. Each of us must follow his own heart. Hopefully his own heart is lined up with God. Remember that Jesus never sinned. He wanted us to be like him and the means has been provided. If we sit back on a negative faith saying that we cannot do it or that God cannot do it in us, where is our hope? Where is our faith?

"... According to your faith be it unto you."

And He said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto Me, except it were given unto him of My Father. John 6:65

Greetings,

Thank God for the Son of man Who is our advocate before the Throne.
Jesus says "Come" and to everyone who hears, come and find rest, a refuge, for In Him we have Life. Only, when you come, abide.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5

And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. Genesis 43:3

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. John 3:27

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2Timothy 2:19

No man can come to Me, except the Father Which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1Peter 2:5

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2Thessalonians 2:1-5

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:3

Bless you ....><>

Remember that Jesus never sinned.

yet, God turned His face from Him, Who knew no sin, while He was upon that Cross - oh the Love, shall we not believe? - that He could look at us, sinners... and may He not now behold the glory of His beloved Son, Who gave Himself that we might live, when He looks at us?

Behold the Man.

Bless you, now and always ....><>

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: to the end He may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints. 1Thessalonians 3:12-13

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Thessalonians 5:23

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Psalm 121:7-8

Does the group you fellowship with preach against baptism?

At Peace What does baptism have to do with it?
In baptism...into Christ and into His death, burial, and resurrection, (Rom 6:3-6), we kill the old man/body of sin.
Our resurrection with Christ produces a new creature. (2 Cor 5:17)
That new creature has no "human" nature.
Only a divine one. (2 Peter 1:4)
By forgoing baptism, we would be without a divine nature and still subject to a "human" nature.
A split personality doctrine denies the rebirth all who go to heaven must experience.
In baptism, our old person is paid the wages of death.
All of our old self is killed.
The new, sanctified man is a fit temple of the Holy Ghost.

You know of course that baptism is an outward sign of an inward 'event' don't you? Baptism is merely a symbolic statement that you have died, and been born again a new creation...You did not kill anything. God invited you to follow Jesus through death and when you chose to follow him, you died. You did not kill yourself. Then you were born again...but yes... you are a new creatin with Gods nature but you still have to learn to walk in that new nature and overcome old habits and old ways of thinking. Replacing the old with the new...walking in your new nature is NOT automatic.
Its interesting....What you say is correct but the dynamics of how it happens is all screwed up. At least in the way you present it.

Back to the OP, which is a far richer and more valuable theme than much of what follows. ;-)

Paul's prayer for the Church in Philippi:

And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best, so that on the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God.

In regard to loving our neighbour, I think the wisdom this prayer has much to offer us. How love and insight combined lead us to good discernment; purity and blamelessness; then a harvest of righteousness for the glory of God.

We often tend to separate spiritual/physical, grace/nature, prayerful/practical. The sense I get from this prayer is that they are all tightly, tightly bound together - all for the sake God's glory.

Give me love and insight in abundance and equal measure, whoever I meet, however, whenever.

You know of course that baptism is an outward sign of an inward 'event' don't you?
No.
That is a heresy.
Baptism into Christ, and into His death is the repentants actual death.
It is our actual burial with Christ and our actual resurrection with Him to walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:3-6, Col 2:11-13)

With my "dynamic", I have been freed from sin. (Rom 6:7)
What has your "dynamic" allowed?
