Is addiction a sin or is it disease ??

The word of God says clearly that drunkards will not inherit the kingdom of God. Drunkard / alcoholic seems to be a sin ,, it keeps you out of the kingdom of God. Some like to say being a drunkard (alcoholic) is a disease, I am not so sure, would God keep someone out of heaven for a disease?? IF a person never picks up a drink he can not become addicted to it.?? At some point we have to take personal responsibility for our actions.

Addiction to reading scripture isnt sin. Neither is helping others in need, even if it hurts our own situation. So addiction alone isnt a sin. I would simply say that you can be addicted to sin. Then it comes to whether some habitual sins are done out of some inability to stop, or so wanting the sin, that you habitually give in to them in weak moments (if you regret them at all).

Jesus portrayed sin as a disease. That's why He is at times called the Great Physician.
Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? In addition, sin is portrayed as an addiction, if one is enslaved to sin.

That eerily sounds like you are saying that will power can be used to never sin. And that Sin is the choice of willpower.

For many of times i have used the term: "miss the Mark" or "missing the mark" "Meaning not Hitting The MARK of The TEXT in which it is written. So we make take the meaning of the TEXT and by explaining it ,we may hit The Target, but miss the "BULL"S EYE" of the meaning of the "TEXT" Which is "The MARK" for why it was written.

Within both Judaism and Islam, righteousness is based upon the willpower of a person. Not so with the teachings of Christ.
Is not repentance a final recognition of the failure of Willpower? (I would say yes.)

yes, it can, but many will not agree. With GOD all Things are possible. IF "GOD"wants to teach his child a lesson, to keep him or she on the Straight and narrow. If Jesus can be 100% God and 100% man at the same time. You better believe it, a demon can occupy a Christians body at the same time, with the "Spirit of GOD" located in the body but at different place within the Body. If don't believe me, ask Him to show you
But if you know what I know, you won't I heard in my earlier years writers and pastors, Well, "a christian cannot be possess by a demon", with their chest all stuck out.... And I heard a few writers have said, yes it can happen. ASK GOD to show you, I remember one time i knew i was supposed to cast this demon out of this person, And i refused to do it. and I knew the "The SPIRIT" of GOD was revealing to me to do it, I was mad at this person, and I refuse to cast that demon out, pride kept me from casting it. I paid a price, at HE showed me. what that person was going through, and i was in my right mind while that demon was in me! "LORD" have mercy, Just like "Christian" was in that "DUNGEON" in "Pilgrim Progress" JESUS had to come in and UNLOCK DOOR and Take those Chains off of ME!

all CAPS! I felt those "TALONS", and i don't mean claws, tear into my soul and crab it. and would not turn me loose. JESUS come get me! rebuking was not going to do! I was calling Him, and HE took his time! I got in that "BIBLE"about 20 hours a day! As Long as I stayed in that BOOK I WAS ALRIGHT. FINALLY HE BOUGHT ME OUT! No body knew what i was going through. And at the same time i was Traveling through "The DARK Night of The SOUL" for about two years, I knew that BIBLE inside and OUT! I never that a "Child of GOD" could go through something like that. And GOD talked to me all of the Time i was there. And I LISTEN and Learn form HIMI do not care what anybody believe i know what i am going to do. And Have no second thoughts!

Is it not your interpretation that the "god of this world" is Satan? Who says so? It's a popular belief, but such a doctrine conflicts with Matthew. This means that one must sacrifice Belief Structures that stand in conflict with the very words of Jesus, does it not? (I believe it does.)
Paul had no problem with writing the word "Satan." He did so TEN times (cf. Romans 16:20; 1 Corinthians 5:5; 1 Corinthians 7:5; 2 Corinthians 2:11; 2 Corinthians 11:14; 2 Corinthians 12:7; 1 Thessalonians 2:18; 2 Thessalonians 2:9; 1 Timothy 1:20; 1 Timothy 5:15). So if Paul meant Satan, why didn't he write Satan? I could tell you who Paul meant by "the god of this world," but this might be something you need to work out for yourself.

You even then posted a verse that seems to say, "When sinners sin, it's because they haven't chosen to sin. The god of this world has made them sin."
Is it the Sinner's CHOICE if they have been blinded?

Truly, the NLT (the "hover over") treateth scripture deceitfully. The owners of this website should be rebuked.
