Core Beliefs and What it Means to be Chrisian

As someone who left three Judas cults, I see you bear false witness like you're still in the cult. Friendly fire is a thing.
Judas cult? is that an American thing? Yall got all kind of cults in them 1st world countries, i'm happy I live in the Caribbean.

Friendly fire? Man if I throw a stone in a crowd whoever cries out that's the person who got hit. When people hear the truth they should get prick because that's what the truth does. Coming to the light means you have to change your ways.
Prove it. Chapter and verse. Also, when was the Thief on the Cross baptized?
Literally showed the scripture saying that. Read my response to KingJ which should prove God only has one gospel. If you need more then let me know.
Christ is Truth. Look at Lucifer, Cain, Solomon, and Judas for example. So yeah, not divided. Wheat and tares.
There are also vessels of honor and dishonor. In other words some people come into the true church of God to cause division. They are not actually interested in salvation. Jesus cast out the 1st devil in the church and last time I check everyone was going to church on the Sabbath both the Jews and the Greeks.
Facts (and Christ is Truth). Hypocrisy and iniquity send the most effective exorcists straight to their adopted daddy's evil lap:

Saint Matthew, chapter 7:
22
"Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?"
23 "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
Amen
Saint Mark, chapter 9:
38 And John ( portrayed by @JunoTheServant ) answered him, saying, "Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us."
39 But Jesus said, "Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
(that should be every Christian ever, but look at Judas Isacariot and everyone who sins;)
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water (Whosoever. Anyone. They are not miraculously parting the Red Sea in the Sacred Name of GOD; it is just a cup of water) to drink in my name, because ye (@JunoTheServant ) belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."

Take it up to Jesus The True And Living God as to the breakdown of what HE says in verse 41. Even if they say "Jesus" and only have a cup of water to give you because you @JunoTheServant belong to Christ, " verily I (JESUS) say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."
That's not what I protrayed. If he cast out Devils then that meant he was Christian. You are trying to say they have different faith.

In fact all I did was question a brother. You done act like I commit sin. Jesus say many shall come in his name so I got to check people out.

So now my question to you is, do you keep the Sabbath?

Huh? Are you asking me to explain what Israel has to do?
Anyone who wants salvation must do what Israel do in order to get it.

what has Israel done to get salvation, is what I am asking, is it different then a gentile? Because most of Israel in the OT did not get salvation, is why I am curios to what your saying.

Correct most of the Israelites did not get salvation and there is a reason for that.

Hebrews 4: 2
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

They did not believe it, which meant they had no faith. The Israelites and anyone who did do what God required got salvation. Rahab the harlot was not an Hebrew but she joined the house of Israel and did what they did. Abraham was not even Israelite he is the father of the faithful. We need faith to do what God asks us to do.

Also notice what is written here. The GOSPEL was preached to them and to us. The gospel has never changed because God does not change.

God gave all his house rules to Israel and Israel's job is to give it to all nations. .

Israel is God's house. When you go to someone's house you need to abide by the house master rules. All nations are to join themselves to Israel and this is what the world don't understand. You are correct the Sabbath is a sign between God and his people but you forgot some scriptures so let me add them in.

Exodus 12: 49
49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

All over the bible it tells you God is not a respecter of persons. He would not tell Gentiles to do this and Jews yall do this. He wants everyone to the same thing.

Isaiah 56: 6 - 7, 10
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

You notice it includes EVERYONE and not just Israel??

In God's house everyone is going to keep the Sabbath. So if you're not keeping it then that simple means you decided not to come in.

John 10: 1 - 3, 11
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

This fold is talking about Israel, so if God is bringing you into the fold then common sense should tell us all we all need to do the same thing. If you come in my house and I say no shoes, do you think it would be fair if I let someone else come into my house with shoes. If I say I don't want no shoes in my house then I mean what I say. If you don't want to do that then you can stay outside.

God don't have Christians keeping the Sabbath and some Christians keeping sunday. God is bringing all nations which are the other sheep into the fold that the nation of Israel is already apart of.

Conclusion
At the risk of sounding redundant Israel is God house, in fact Israel is God's name. God punished Israelites for not obeying the rules of his house which is called by his name. Ain't nobody going into God's house unless they obey HIS rules. That's why he said you are blessed if you keep his commandments because then you may enter. If you don't do it then you may not enter.

Revelation 22: 14 - 15
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

You are not addressing the arguments I raised. You are presenting your interpretation and introducing new passages, but you have not interacted with the specific points about Exodus 31:16-17, Acts 15, Romans 14:5, and Colossians 2:16.

A discussion works by responding to the points that have been made, not by creating rabbit trails and moving on to different subjects. If you disagree with my arguments, then explain why those passages do not support my position. That would move the discussion forward.

Sir I read your entire post. I also said you were correct that the Sabbath is a sign between God and Israel and I showed clearly that Israel is God's house. Gentiles don't have their own rules. Everyone has to obey God. That's what Paul meant when he said God torn down the partition. In fact their are plenty examples in the old testament such as Ruth and Rahab to name a few.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, we are all one. Isn't that what I showed with the scripture where Jesus said ONE FOLD??

Do what God required of Israel and you would be a spiritual Israelite which is the seed of Abraham, which are the children of faith.

So I addressed the entire point itself but it seems as though you want me to address the scriptures you used in your post. However the point you are making is inaccurate because the Sabbath is not the Jews Sabbath it is the LORD'S SABBATH so therefore you are using scriptures out of context.

When Satan quoted scripture at Jesus I don't recall Jesus arguing with Satan about how he was wrong and that's not what that scripture means, he simply said it is written...

The Sabbath is not only for Israelites and I use scriptures to prove that.

Ironic how a thread about salvation issues (core beliefs) devolved into talk about the sabbath. The sabbath is the only commandment not repeated in the new testament. Unsaved people brought it up criticizing Jesus and his disciples about it however.

May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom

Hello everyone I'm glad that you have written all of your thoughts and engaged in this. But I still hold firm to what I said about core beliefs. It is the core beliefs that United us as one fellowship with God. I'm not taking away from anything else when I talk about core beliefs versus things that are political

Yes we should keep holy the Sabbath day. But what exactly is the Sabbath Day? is it just a certain day of the week Saturday, Sunday or is it the one day that we keep holy. And does that mean that the rest of the days of the week we don't have to keep them holy either?

God made all the days of the week. But it is one day in particular that we keep special our time to be with God.

There are some who are very focused on Saturday. And I say go for it if that's the day that you make the Sabbath for you and your family, then make it holy and keep it. And if you make Wednesday the day that is the Sabbath for you and your family. Great but keep it holy and Don't Stray From This. I know that the vast majority of Christians keep Sunday as their Sabbath day. And we keep this holy.

But just because you keep this particular day as your holy day does not mean that we cannot be holy the rest of the week. And this means having constant forgiveness, for those that you don't agree with no matter what church they belong to.

The bottom line for being a Christian is having God's love in your heart.

When I talk about politics, politics are things that are not going to save you one way or the other. And these are a variety of different things. As an example if one Church believes that the Sabbath is Saturday. It's not going to send them to hell if they celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday. And with you celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday, it's not going to send you to hell if you celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday. And if you celebrate the Sabbath on Wednesday it's not going to send you to hell to celebrate the Sabbath on Wednesday. What God will ask you is did you keep my Sabbath Holy?

I don't know if you understand what I'm saying, plain and simple it isn't which day that is important it's the fact whether or not you keep it Holy.
............
All I can say about whether or not you want to accept Catholics as your brothers and sisters. I certainly have not judged you that way, and God is going to ask you who is the judge when you see him.

You are better not to judge especially when Catholics also except Jesus as Lord. You may not understand us, it's okay, most Catholics don't understand Protestants either. Not understanding any other person's faith is not an excuse to condemn the other person.

David I'm sorry that you had a terrible experience and no one to talk to obviously about what it is to be Catholic. Because you just don't understand it, and I can see that in your words. But I can also see you the spirit of God in you, I know your heart.
God's Love walks with you.
................
The thief on the cross, the one who Jesus spoke to saying today you will be with me in Paradise.

He did two things, he repented of his sins by taking on his sins saying that we deserve our punishment for what we have done.

The other thing which is even greater and many Overlook it, is the fact that he showed compassion towards Jesus.

Jesus says that no one, let me repeat that "NO ONE", can go to the Father but through me. By showing compassion to Jesus he shows us that Jesus has entered him already. Because compassion is a form of love. And what is God, Love.

He had already received Christ in his heart before he died.

Now we can debate all day long about whether or not he was baptized. Personally I think the baptism that he experienced is the baptism of Blood by hanging on the cross in the first place. But that's just my opinion.
..................
The difference between the politics and the reality of what God wants is this.

I will do an example to give you an understanding. Baptism, it doesn't say in the scripture that you have to dunk a person completely under the water, it doesn't say that they have to just do sprinkling on the head either. All it says is that you need to be baptized.

So the baptism is what God wants. But it's the dunking them under the water, or the sprinkling on the head is what man wants. Do you understand the difference of what I am saying.

This is the same thing I was trying to say about the Sabbath day. God tells us to keep the day holy. He doesn't say keep Monday holy keep Tuesday holy keep Wednesday holy keep Thursday holy Keep Friday holy Keep Saturday holy keep Sunday holy.

Keep the day that you keep as the Sabbath day. If it's Sunday, keep it. If it's Saturday keep it. If it's Wednesday Keep It. But don't condemn everyone else if they're not keeping it on your day.

Catholics are big on tradition, they call Mary "blessed" ( scripture), they Bless the bread and wine as Jesus instructed ( scripture) and you want to condemn a group of people who follow scripture , do you see my eyes rolling.

You don't agree, no problem. I DON'T CONDEMN YOU, and neither does God - either way.

God does condemn those who want to Judge others, Judas's greatest sin was choosing he had a better way than God to bring the Messiah into his kingship.
Don't make the same mistake in condemning other churches because you don't agree with them.

This is why understanding Core beliefs are essential. If we understand that all of us who have the same core beliefs are on the same page. That we are all followers of Jesus. Then during the tribulation we can help each other and not worry about it.

Well I hope this answered most of your questions. If I've missed anything feel free to ask and I will try my best

Now we can debate all day long about whether or not he was baptized. Personally I think the baptism that he experienced is the baptism of Blood by hanging on the cross in the first place. But that's just my opinion.
Some Christians are of the opinion that unless you speak in tongues (they call it baptism of the Holy Spirit) you are not saved. The Holy Spirit hasn't given me that specific gift in my many years of being saved.

This is why understanding Core beliefs are essential.
I know I was saved during the entire period since I believed even though I wasn't baptized until quite recently (five years). I do not think I was saved when being baptized as an infant. What is included as a salvation issue (core belief) matters.

Acts 11: 25 - 26
25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Now let's examine The Original Christians. The very first Christians

The Core Beliefs:
  • When the disciples were called Christians FIRST everyone kept the Sabbath because Jesus taught them how to keep the Sabbath.
Acts 18: 4 ; Acts 17: 1 - 2; Luke 4: 14 - 16
Therefore keeping the Sabbath is a core belief of Christianity.

  • Everyone kept the feast of the LORD outlined in Leviticus the 23rd chapter.
  • Acts 2: 1 - 4, Acts 18: 21; Acts 20: 16; Matthew 26: 17 - 18
Nobody celebrated Christmas
Nobody celebrated Easter
They did not do Halloween
And they certainly were not keeping Valentines
All of the above are traditions of men and are not something the original Christians did
Colossians 2: 8

  • No one ate pork they all understood and kept the dietary law, in fact not breaking God's dietary law makes you holy, if you break God's dietary law you make your vessel abominable. Leviticus 20: 25

  • No one taught going to heaven they all preached the resurrection of the dead AT the Last Day. John 6, Yet the churches today are preaching the dead is in heaven right now.

When you walk like Christ you follow in his footsteps. 1 Peter 2: 21; 1 John 2: 1, 6; 1 Corinthians 11: 1
The reason why keeping the Sabbath is a core belief because Jesus kept the Sabbath therefore if you are following him do it as well. Jesus was carpenter by occupation and nowhere in this bible anyone can read or saw Jesus doing carpenter work on the Sabbath. He healed people on the Sabbath which is Lawful and the Pharisees didn't understand this.
Jesus kept the feast and his disciples followed in his footsteps and did likewise
Jesus kept the commandments (all of them) and his disciples did the same thing to the best of their ability
Jesus preached the resurrection of the dead and so did the disciples
Jesus kept the dietary law, he loved his neighbor, had the fruits of the spirits and all his followers did their best to follow in his footsteps.

Jesus said many shall come in my name and say that I am Christ. This means they will claim they are Christians (people who walk in his footsteps) and yet they don't. As a result they deceive many people. I always ask people do you keep the Sabbath on the 7th day, to test to see if you a follower of Christ or traditions of men. I am responsible for my salvation and I am going to try every spirit to see if it is of God. Funny as soon as I do this people have a problem but the book says many false prophets are out there not a few. Just because a doctrine is popular that does not mean it is correct. When God comes back he will kill so many people that man will be an endangered species.

The Sabbath is a day commanded by God it is not a suggestion and nobody can pick which day they want to be the Sabbath. If God said it's the 7th day then that is exactly what it is. You are to be holy every day but only the feast days and the weekly Sabbath are holy days and Paul kept them and taught them so what he spoke of in Romans 14 was talking about Civil holidays such as the 4th of July, even though they are holidays they are not Pagan; also stuff like your birthday is fine. Instead people use it to throw away the Sabbath. If people actually kept them you would realize that everyday cannot be the Sabbath. We have gone so far from Christ that it is extremely sad. This is why Christ said he will try the whole world because the world claim they know Christ but everyone is doing what is in their heart instead of what is written in this bible.

I love the name of the forum it's called talk Jesus. I didn't come here to talk about the precepts of men and this is why we are dying today. We swallow waaaay too many lies. Oh, LORD have mercy!!
