“Have we the true Children of God, been over ran”?

So you believe Moses is not with the Lord?

Not currently. No. But perhaps in the future. Still Moses would be an exception. Do I believe the majority of Israelite that left Egypt will be with the Lord? No.

Jude 1:9; But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

Prov 30:4; Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son's name? Surely you know!
John 3:13; "No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.
Acts 2:34; "For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says: 'THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND,

John 5:28; "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,
John 5:29; and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

John 6:40; "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

i then wonder why in Matt 17 Jesus would show Peter the vision He did . if Moses is 'perhaps' only. Your above statement does not imply what the first one , i questioned , did.
We agree on last day resurrection. :)

God was with the Israelite's in the wilderness 40 years, He didn't lose any of them. He knew where every single one of them was. He never left them or forsook them, but many of them forsook Him.
Virtually none of the ones who left Egypt made it into the promised land. You could say Moses preached for 100 years and never had a single convert.
So just because you are in the flock and God has you in His hand doesn't mean you are saved.

Might ask the question why were they not allowed to enter into the promised land? Lack of faith, in that even after their miraculous departure from Egypt and
crossing the Red Sea, they were still scared and had no real faith. Their commission had been to take the land by fighting for it and the LORD would fight along
side them, but only 2 of the 12 spies had faith in Gods ability to help them overcome their adversaries; though their adversaries made them appear as grasshoppers
in their own eyes.

Indeed God never left his freed prisoners who wandered the wilderness for 40 years and perished with the exception of Joshua and Caleb who had originally
reported good news that they should take up the fight to possess the promised inheritance. They had faith and God allowed them to enter into the promise.

These things are an allegory of sorts, and I'm cutting it pretty short but consider that you have been born again (miraculous departure from sins grip), but your place
within the kingdom is not decided as that part is up to your faith and spiritual warfare ability. Have to take up the fight and deny yourself daily.
We know that we war not after the flesh, but war spiritually bringing every thought into subjection to the mind of Christ. It is this warfare of destroying those
things in your life, along with Gods help that will determine to what degree you are an overcomer. But he has to let you see the promise before you can even
want to enter the fight.

2 Ti 2:4 "No man that warreth entangeleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier."

You can stay in "Church" and be doted over just as those in the wilderness, but your spiritual maturity as an overcoming soldier will never begin much less
be achieved and those that stay in "Church" will die in the wilderness of nominal Christianity.

A good book could be written over this subject but not many here will read the post if its very long, so will cut it short.

Food for thought.

American Standard Version
For many are called, but few chosen.

Berean Study Bible
And there will be a highway called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not travel it—only those who walk in the Way—and fools will not stray onto it.
Berean Study Bible
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
Proverbs 16:25
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

(Psalms 14:23)
2The LORD looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if any understand, if any seek God. 3All have turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.…

Jeremiah 8:6
I have listened and heard; they do not speak what is right. No one repents of his wickedness, asking, "What have I done?" Everyone has stayed his course like a horse charging into battle.

(Luke 13).
…23“Lord,” someone asked Him, “will only a few people be saved?” Jesus answered, 24“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able. 25After the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’…

There are so many on the "Broad road" it feels like we are on the wrong road and we are being, over ran. and sometimes over whelming by the narrowness of the path.
