Bible says God is not a man! how does Jesus fit in since He is said to be God in human form?

Ivar

The Godhead / trinity = God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

It was Jesus Christ, the Son of God -- the 2nd part of the Trinity / Godhead who came to earth - in the form of a baby -- to grow up with the purpose of showing 'us' the Father through the miracles He performed AND dying on the cross for our sins. And then rising again bodily after 3 days.

God is God the Father -- but being the 'God of Christ'?! Have never heard of that being stated that way before now.

Jesus Christ is the head of the Church. He is the mediator between God and man.

@Sue D.
You have more than likely heard that being stated before. Perhaps in different words and verses. There are quite a few scriptures where dots can be possibly connected.

2 Co 11:31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. "for example"

Of course we can always go deeper I used to be versed in both the Trinitarian and non Trinitarian arguments.

Not when our God has risen from the dead; the Hindus cannot say that about themselves. If Christ has not risen, there would be no Christianity. No other religion can top that, no matter how much similarities they claim Christianity as a rip off of.

1 Corinthians 15:11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. 12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Three Hour Period of Darkness at Jesus's Crucifixion

You know most will say the darkness was just a eclipse

but the longest eclipse ever recorded in the history of man kind is in minutes not hours

, Amen our God is a awesome God praise be to Jesus

That was a good article.

Yes, God Is an awesome God. :smile:

I absolutely love when the bible uses the secular world to prove itself. There are many examples but the eclipse one is one of my favorites

The incarnation of Jesus......

Remaining what he was,(God) and became what he was not. (Man)
Jesus remained God divine, he also became what he previously had not been. (fully human, fully God)

God is not a man........(Numbers 23:19) The word "man" here does not mean human being as compared to the "man" in Genesis when God said "let us make man in our image......" The word "man" in Genesis means "human being". In numbers it is referring to man as a "male". God is not a male as there is no male or female in the Kingdom of God.

Jesus today is not a "male", but he is a "man"

Curtis:

Based upon the context at Numbers 23:19 where it says "God is not a man", the word "man" as used in that verse, does indeed mean human being.

@Curtis

Numbers 23:19 is only referring to fallen man that can lie whereas God is not as fallen mankind, and therefore cannot lie.

We were created in the image of God which said image is man.

So the context of Numbers 23:19 is only referring to mankind's ability to lie which God being God, cannot lie. That verse is not saying God is not a man, and stops right there... the verse says God is not a man and continues in regards to that man in relation to God is that God is not a man that He should lie.
