I think that there must be a greater understanding of God's Word. Now that is not to say that there are not other great needs within the church as well, but I think that having a greater knowledge/understanding of God's Word to us will lead to His aid with the other needs.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chr 7:14 NIV)
Hi SLE - I think that is a great prayer for our nation, too. Tx - BOL
We need to stop seeing Christianity as a "To Do list" and start thinking in a new direction. Often in the New Testament, Jesus is addressed as "Teacher", and that He was. What did He teach? He taught Kingdom Living 101, which is centered on spiritual growth through the power of the Holy Spirit, not ritual observance, not memorizing things, or performing for God's acceptance. Who are His disciples/students? All who hold on to His teachings and receive a new way of thinking, a way that leads to real freedom through relationship with Him.

Biggest need in the church?
1st week of the month:
Go to the meeting expecting to meet Jesus Christ. Make sure that he is the center attraction (not a pastor, not a praise group nor anything else - only Jesus). Collectively seek him in silence, prayer, testimony and praise.
2nd week of the month:
Do the same as in the first week of the month.
3rd week of the month:
Do the same as in the first week of the month.
4th week of the month:
Do the same as in the first week of the month.
5th week of the month:
Do the same as in the first week of the month.
