Can a Christian person have demons?

I am not the judge, and I will not Brow bash Kenneth. Copeland! If I do not have anything good to say about Him I am not saying nothing about him Bad! my black Mama, taught me, That about him. And she was a “Christian”! And she acted like one!
And I am not a Christian,

I am not GOD, and Copeland is not my creature. And I am not His Critique.
You are not a Christian, you say, does that mean you do not believe and obey Jesus?

Just wondering what your point is in posting a video of Kenneth Copeland?

Can a Christian person have demons?

@Victor9509,

No, I do not believe they can: because of the presence of the new nature indwelling the believer upon the entry of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; through which the Holy Spirit works. The two could not co-exist.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

There are a few things here that need to be clarified. First, no one is saved just because they believe, that is false doctrine straight out of calvinism that Scripture does not support.
Second, the new nature has nothing to do with possession, neither could it stop it.

You are correct that a demon cannot fully possess a saved person indwelt by the Holy Spirit, because He would not allow it...however, there is a difference between full possession and a person having a demon.

Blessings

LOL You and so many other Christians
Kenneth Copeland does say some good and true things that help people find the Lord.

Too bad though for some false teachings he does, and his doing the false speaking in tongues.

It is good that Kenneth Copeland preaches Jesus and about faith.

Better than not preaching about God at all.

Too bad we have all these false denominations.
LOL You and many other Christians, so called Word people accuse them of false teaching, or false prophets. Yet none of you can prove it.....PROVE Copeland, for one, is a false teacher! Just because you disagree is not proof of your claim....Maybe YOU are wrong in your beliefs.

What I like about Kenneth Copeland and his ilk is the teachings on faith. They can teach some mighty things about faith. Again, too bad for the other false things. Man he can teach some good and powerful stuff.

I fear the main point on this issue is being missed...a little leaven works its way through the whole batch. False teachings destroy people's relationship with God.

Good preaching? So what! Arsenic sprinkled on your steak will still kill you...

False doctrines are like hotdogs...the skin of truth stuffed with lies that kill people spiritually.

Well why not hear me out before you accuse me of not being able to prove my claim?
One of the false things he teaches is that God made the plan for salvation AFTER He made the world and humans.
And, here is a video of his false tongue speaking and what can happen to someone if they are not more careful:

Unless I'm grossly misunderstanding you sir, this is false teaching too.....One can be saved without belief?! Its ALL about faith.
Mark 16:16
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Wow...this thread has REALLY been derailed...

Romans 10:9

Yes, you are "grossly misunderstanding" what I said.

I said that one does not get saved JUST because they believe that is NOT in Scripture. Mark 16:16 proves my point which you quoted...one must believe AND receive water baptism in order to enter into Christ, and only in Christ does one receive salvation.

Romans 10:9 is only part of the context...

Romans 10:8-10 (ESV)
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

The Greek tells us something a little different (and more accurate):

Romans 10:8-10*
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the teaching of the doctrines of the Faith which we proclaim);
9 because if you profess with your mouth that you have made Jesus Christ your Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved.
10 Because with the heart one believes into righteousness, and with the mouth he makes a covenant promise taking him into salvation.

The word some translations render as "confess" is the word homologeo, which can mean, depending upon its use and grammar, either assent to, consent, admit, concede, confess, acknowledge, profess, or to enter into a covenant accord through oath/promise; in this verse it takes on the meaning of 'to profess.' The phrase, "have made Jesus Christ your Lord" means that you acknowledge Him as your Lord - that is, as having the right to rule over your life because you have made Him your Lord and Master. It does not just mean the cursory "He is Lord" but goes well beyond that statement of truth, no person is saved without making Jesus their Lord and Master. In the way that homologeo is utilized here in verse 10 by Paul, he implies the same as Peter does in I Pet. 3:21 - a covenant oath or promise to walk in obedience to God.

According to the fullness of Scripture on this point, in order to get saved one must first choose to exercise faith in Christ, then he must choose to repent from his previous lifestyle of sinful behavior, and then he must choose to receive water baptism into Christ (which, according to Scripture, is the ONLY way to enter into Christ, God's living embodiment of His New Covenant). If one is not in the New Covenant, then he is not saved, because salvation is a covenant promised gift, given only to those who are in Christ.

Blessings!

Ok Prove it....You like to share that you disagree but show the 'truth' of it.

Thank you for clearing that up...Sometimes I need a translator LOL

Your analogy is not of truth.

The screen name you chose condemns you according to your own words.

You want to go against me and speak about leaven? Leaven is about the Jewish purification works of the law.

Where did you get the name Shaolin from?

That is from the Buddhist religion.

How much leaven did you get from them?

Here is the part 1 with Kenneth Copeland:

I've seen this happening in Pentecostal churches, baptist churches, alliance, all manner of Christian churches all over North America....I believe its wrong, demonic. But!! Why do you single out Copeland and what scripture do you give to show Copeland is a false teacher?

You admit to having cognitive problems, so with that in mind, I am not going to discuss any further with you, unless absolutely necessary. Where do you EVER get that I singled out Copeland? I showed you proof that Copeland is doing things that are NOT scriptural.

:pensive:You are not a Christian, you say, does that mean you do not believe and obey Jesus?

I going to say this and not being mean.

Some people do not understand the meaning of words. Especially biblical words or biblical terms. To be biblically proper.

I believe and have always been taught as long as I can remember, that words have direct definitions. boy means Boy, girl means girl, Faith means a variable of definition depends on context. Believe means believe [believe something]. Christian means “Christlike” Christlike means a person that acts just like The Christ of GOD which means “The Anointed of GOD” The human Jesus. this Jesus we are referring to is “Jesus The Anointed of GOD” [The Christ of GOD”.]

Note: during “The Life of Christ”. Meaning “The Life of The Anointed One”

A lot of men were Name “Jesus” [Joshua].!

So, a person who is a believer in The Anointed One Of GOD is not The Same word or Term “Christian” as once coined.

Two completely different words or term, they are not the same! No matter how people will try to say they are, they are not!
[christian and Believer in The Christ].

As the people of GOD, the World bends and shape us into Their mode of Thinking. To create The Curve of The Quill.

Simple, words have their individual meaning. And we must try our best. To stay within “Biblical Truth” even within Languages “Translations” that we the people of GOD to Stay as One people and One Universal Language as Hard As Possible.

Someone must stand as a somewhat “ Beacon”

And I guess I am one of those “Beacons” that will not falter.

Words means everything, different words different meanings. Different combination of words, different combinations of meanings.

Unless A word has The same Definition as another word.

Terms are Terms, a word is a word.

I am sorry for being long. I was taught this from grammar school, clear into College level English classes. My wife Expert concerning The English Language and Grammar, me and my daughter makes her life a living hell concerning our Grammar. Corrects us all the time.:pensive:

I hope I cleared up somethings.

The word Christian from 1977, meant “Christlike” and “ around “AD 60”, in “Antioch” which is not a English town with English definition's”. Nor was there any Greek Lexicons” or Transliterated words.:eyes:

Now you have a view Of The Painting on my side of My Room.

Same painting but different view.

I have a long way to Go before I become a “Image” of “The Christ of GOD”! And God is not ashamed of My Stance.:pensive:

But I am His Child. A Adopted Child “Born into His Family with A Full Inheritance, “Indicative”.

And one day, I will be Just like HIM! I am going to see Him “The Christ of GOD” as He is!

I will be “ChristLike”! Without a Doubt! GOD cannot Lie!

I have not seen any proof!! Only a YouTube clip that fits most churches out there.
You didn't learn anything from that video? You want to show me from the scriptures where those with the Spirit of God did some head shaking, weird jerking, and laughing, etc?
