HOW ?? Me ?? I use my ears. Like anyone else.
So you hear an audible voice telling you things, and this is the Holy Spirit?
(Maybe it's your wife putting the fear of God into you ...
... humor, baby... deal with it.)
Back to serious things. Truly, you just said you hear the Holy Spirit as an audible voice in the same manner as you listen to birds and music. That's okay with me, I'm just trying to make sure I understand what you mean.
What ways ??
If that bird craps on your head, is that a sign from God? If a certain piece of music starts playing, would that be a sign from God?
Or do you roll the dice by randomly sticking your finger somewhere in the Bible and reading the verse? (I've known people to do this.)
So to be clear, the phrase "different ways" is meaningless.
I'm sitting at my keyboard typing, ... duh... but I don't expect my keyboard to start typing out secret messages from God all on its own.
(Ohhh... you meant that to sound profound... It wasn't.)
My apologies. Perhaps I should clarify. I have visited nearly 500 churches in my lifetime, and have engaged with hundreds of (likely more than a thousand) Christians in personal conversation, and have found that most embrace a kind of very nebulous fuzzy superstition about many things - especially about how God leads them. It's okay to admit that you have no idea how to explain what you mean.
