blasphemy is speaking evil against the Holy Spirit? but I don't know if it includes with thoughts. I'm so scareddd I don't want this but it feels like coming from my own thoughts

I think Jesus spoke about this shortly after some pharisees said He was doing some miracle like casting out evil spirit or some great miracle, by the power of satan. I believe its attributing the power of the Holy Spirit as if its from satan. This is a grave offense and I believe its the same in thoughts, if you think some Holy Work is the work of Satan, now this can be forgiven if you dont harden your heart against any work of God, and eventually repent of proclaiming a Holy Work to be of the devil. But to see the work of the Holy Spirit proclaimed to be of satan is very infuriating to the Lord, and continued path forward in this blaspheming will put you in the shoes of the pharisees who Jesus called vipers, despite them being recognized as holy men of their day by most men of the time.

When most readers read about the "unpardonable sin" of blaspheming the Holy Spirit, they tend to read only Mark 3:28-29 but leave out verse 30 - "because they SAID , "He has an unclean spirit." Years ago, the Lord gave me the honor of witnessing to an "out of control" teen in my community. He had been in so much trouble that it seemed as if he was just destined to spend his life in and out of some sort of correctional facility. When I asked him about Jesus Christ and church, he told me that his mother ( a church goer) told him that he had committed the sin that GOD will never forgive; that he had blasphemed the Holy Spirit so he would only go to Hell. So, I asked this troubled youth, "Did you see a supernatural display of healing or display of power that could only have been done by the power of GOD, and say that it was an act of the devil?" "No," he replied. Then, I told him, "Then you have NOT blasphemed the Holy Spirit." I explained to him that to see a mighty work that could ONLY be done by GOD and SAY that it was a work of the devil would be to slander...blasphemed the Holy Spirit. His countenance changed, somewhat. And, every time he saw me, he was respectful. I believe that the Lord sent me to him to restore his hope. Those of us that have been redeemed have been crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20) and the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us, would never blaspheme Himself because He takes from Christ and bestows what our Lord wants us to do and to say. The Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit - this "thing" that shall not be forgiven, has caused all kinds of confusion and fear for many people because it is typically misunderstood. Indeed the above post by @Whendancer is the closest I've ever seen to an adequate explanation. (And he gives a good example of the fear and confusion that such misunderstanding can cause.)

So I'd like to first look at the scriptures that address this issue: (The scripture references are very long, so I feel it necessary to ask all readers to take the time to actually read through them.)

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, ... Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.​

(Matthew 12:24-25, 31-32 KJV)​

Here one can clearly see that the specific type of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is attributing the power behind Jesus' casting out of devils to Beelzebub (or Satan, or a demonic power). But there's another passage that is less specific: (again, please read it through completely)

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven. And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.​

Holy Spirit: "Well, then how can you be forgiven for a sin you say you didn't do? Okay...."​

In other words, a sin that is denied cannot be forgiven, and we rely upon the conviction of the Holy Ghost to indeed tell us what sin is and isn't - when we have sinned and when we have not. It's not that hard to understand. How could one be forgiven for a sin that one says he or she didn't do?

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the overt Rejection of the work of the Holy Spirit, whether within the outworking of a miracle power event, or the conviction of sin laid upon our hearts.

Blasphemy is an outright purposeful Rejection of something the Holy Spirit actually did, which can either be a miracle that you saw, OR, something that the HS said to you. And trust me, if the HS speaks to you, you'll know it. At that point, it would be unwise to reject what is said. But Rejection is more than just grumbling about something, after which one comes around to understand and agree with what the HS said.

Again, the unforgivable sin is not all that hard to understand. It's rather simple, because it's any sin that a person denies having done. Hey, how could God forgive somebody if they claim that they didn't do it? (Can't forgive him, HS, he didn't do it !! You can't forgive somebody for something that somebody didn't do... and he says he didn't do it.)

Since one of the responsibilities of the HS is to convict us of sin, it would be blasphemy to deny that one committed a sin for which the Holy Spirit said directly to you, "Hey... that's a sin, you know...." When the HS convicts our heart, then we Repent.

Blasphemy begins with thoughts but its not that which goes in a man that defiles them but rather the actions.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is attributing the work of His unseen Spirit to mankind seen. It can be compared to the first commandment; "thou shall have no other gods before our Living God Christ".

It was forgivable when the Son of man Jesus was here . When he left it was not forgivable we walk by faith the unseen eternal
