Can our salvation in Christ Jesus ever be jeopardised?

The Churches today are filled with fake believers who contaminate certain fellowships. God will remove them, and or they fall away as they were appointed from long ago. They confess they know the Lord but in works they deny him. They have reprobate minds.

Tit 1:15 To the pure [in heart and conscience] all things are pure, but to the defiled and corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure; their very minds and consciences are defiled and polluted.
Tit 1:16 They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny and disown and renounce Him by what they do; they are detestable and loathsome, unbelieving and disobedient and disloyal and rebellious, and [they are] unfit and worthless for good work (deed or enterprise) of any kind. (NLT)

Knowing where I come from and Who I Fear I consider the Grace handed me, and have the same weight upon me that Paul describes, I am debtor to all. I knew nothing, now I need only know One thing Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. How then can I boast of anything? Jesus inspires my heart by truth and crushes me to humility with it's (the truth's) recognition. A thing of beauty not known until that day ( of my salvation) but a constant weight and a place of real elegance placed just out of my reach. So that I as a Christian have a blessed hope. A God I need and a hope I can not live a day without, and not one thing is to my credit. All of it is a gift I received the moment I asked. When I look at myself I am ashamed but when I look at Christ I am clean and thoughts of myself are undone to nothing. So to twist this down to a point ( to judge and condemn cannot lead the heart of anyone who possesses it to any internal freedom.) To put it in Christ's terms you will not get out until you have paid the last penny. I Fear My Error. I Fear straying from God's course for me. Interesting ( Fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom and understanding the avoidance of evil.) One can do nothing without Christ within and relied upon.

All we can say is, "I can of my own self do nothing", but "I can do all things through Jesus who strengthens me."

Roman 11 Paul speaks of the gentiles being grafted into the olive tree. This to me is salvation. Paul also speaks of the Gentiles can just as easily be cut off the olive tree if they do not continue in Godliness, that to me says they can loose there salvation if they do not continue in His kindness

Romans 11
17 Now if some branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others to share in the nourishment of the olive root,
18 not boast over those branches. If you do, remember this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.
19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.”
20 That
is correct: They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.
21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will certainly not spare you either.
22 Take
notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.
23 And
if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
24 For if you were cut from a wild olive tree, and contrary to nature were grafted into one that is cultivated, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!

A person is free to leave the faith at any time. Demus, spoken of by Paul, left because he loved the things of the world.
True no one can force (pluck) you from his hand, but you can leave on your own accord. As many have. It’s called apostasy.

I find there is a very alarming even terrifying thing that can happen to a faithful Christian. It is that for a time in your life in trial or in a harassed environment you can suddenly find that God whom you have been walking with is nowhere to be found. You look around and He is gone away not to be found and the hole within you is empty. When this has happened to me the first thing that descends on me is the fault is mine. I did something wrong, I stepped away. As it ends up it's a Love time, picture a child in a crowd that runs ahead of the parents and turns around and suddenly realizes that he the child is lost. Then Daddy comes and OMG you don't want to do that again never ever. There is a Psalm the number of which I can't recall but the Psalmist is speaking about an animal in the field and says of God ( You hide Your face and they are troubled )
All animals have it I am sure. Believers have it too. Thank God for His Mercy never leaving us or forsaking us. Who would want to live and carry on otherwise? How great it is to know that Jesus Christ lives and we don't have to carry on alone and we are standing on all of His unchanging assurances and living in His promises. Bless you all.

Hello there,

Can our salvation in Christ Jesus ever be jeopardised?

Sure. WE can "Get busy with other things and let out LIVING FAITH decay onto the fading memeory of HAVING HAD a "living Faith" until there's NO FAITH anymore. Living faith is the result of a vital relationship with God.

God, however, DOES SEND WAKE-UP CALLS (sometimes pretty brutal ones) to get our attention before it's too late.

Can a believing child of God who no longer belong to themselves not know when their Father is correcting and chastises them so that they will be partakes of his holiness? Does the Shepherd ever return to his flock failing in retrieving his sheep who has gone astray?

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Hen 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

I think it is very important that we live by The Spirit and do all our reasoning within it, where is the only place provided for us where true and actual wisdom can be found. That being said when it comes to spiritual matters I have found more answers of deeper and lasting meaning have been established in prayer. Especially when that prayer is under duress and in trial. Why am I adding this? To flesh out in real experience terms what you have offered in Hebrews Curtis. The Bible is real. Very, very real, so real as we walk through our lives and look back we can see our footprints have landed on steps paved by God's will and shepherded by His consequences.
