Discussion about the Atoning Death of Christ

Have you even read my post #115 which addresses the verse you are so strongly emphasizing while ignoring the expressed viewpoint of others here?
I want to discuss Rom 5:19 and what it says exactly. Now according to that verse how are many made righteous?

The Word of God is Jesus and He consists of more than one verse. Consider His spoken words here:

"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matt 4:4

You are following the lead of the Scribes and Pharisees who worked hard and unsuccessfully to trip up Jesus.

Lets consider Rom 5:19 since its part of the word of God !
I did, and you effectively ignored my post. If you have more words of explanation with regard to that verse post them but if you arbitrarily cast aside any connection that anyone makes between that verse and other verses of scripture, to me, and likely to others, that would appear to be taking hold of only one part of Jesus instead of all of Him. He is Word of God! Again the Word of God is NOT just one single verse.

Not interested. Let me know when you want to discuss the point I made with Rom 5:19
That seems to be the big issue here.
You are not interested in what others say and refuse to answer questions especially when asked to explain what you said.

How can we as Brothers in Christ fellowship one with another if you refuse to fellowship other then we need to agree with everything you say?

Blessings

You can not build a doctrine out of Romans 5:19

All that will ACCEPT what Christ Did on the Cross will be SAVED.

The Blood she'd was for all who will ACCEPT IT.

Rom 5:19 is scripture and Paul writes in 2 Tim 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

Could you please help me to understand why you said this to me?
I already said Romans 5:19 was scripture but you still can not simply build a doctrine around one piece of scripture.

Any way have a great night.

You said i cant teach a doctrine from Rom 5:19. It teaches the doctrine of the Saving effect of Christ death for many. It made them righteous it says!

To be truthful if one only uses one scripture or statement and refuses to include other scripture then one tends to take a scripture in an incomplete direction.

Greetings,

ok. Do you want to discuss Rom 5:19 ?

what would you like to discuss about Romans 5:19?
Do you think we ought to include other Scripture as well because if we only discuss that one verse it won't be very long discussion. The KJV has 21 words in that verse, so you might prefer another version? Even still, if we don't venture outside that one verse, we are not going to get very far. I would prefer to discuss it with Scripture.
Also, for the record, this thread is a discussion about the Atoning Death of Christ, so you shouldn't really demand that everyone only discusses Romans 5:19. if you understand where i am coming from?

Look forward to the discussion, thanks for your patience,

Bless you ....><>

Hi. I have already stated what i would like to discuss about Rom 5:19. Please reread my comments if you care to know. As to discussing other scripture thats fine. I would prefer right now however to spend time on that particular verse, every sentence of Gods word is rich with truth in my opinion. Also I'm not demanding anyone to do anything. If you or they choose not to discuss with me The truth in Rom 5:19 thats fine. But i believe to discuss it is better. I would wonder though why the reluctance.

no reluctance, sorry if it appears that way.
please continue. (i am logging off now but will endeavour to pick up again as soon as I can)

@beloved57 I would find it helpful if you could state clearly what insight into this verse you would like everybody else to grasp. I've read through the thread and can't identify what is the core issue in this discussion. Thank you
