It is Time for Jesus's Return

The world is indeed "corrupt to the core", and we are ALL a part of that corruption, but those that profess to follow Christ must do all they can to try to follow his commandments and his teachings are crystal clear on this matter. We are called to "Love our neighbour as ourselves" and "Treat others as we'd want to be treated", particularly in relation to the poor and the suffering, as illustrated in the Parable of the good Samaritan and in "The Sheep and the Goats" Christ said that when we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, provide water for the thirsty, heal the sick and comfort the prisoner, we are in fact doing it to him. Our Lord and Saviour so identifies with the poor and oppressed and commands his followers to do likewise.

So where does that leave us, not only in our own personal giving but in trying to establish a society where Compassion for those in need is foremost. And to quote your question "How do we know who is getting what $$$", i suppose the short answer is we dont, we dont know for sure where that money is going, for as you say the "world is corrupt to the core" and that corruption touches every aspect of human endeavour. But the answer is not to stop giving, for that would make a bad situation worse. I have seen estimates of between 9.4 and 22 million deaths by 2030 , including 4.5- 5.4 million children under the age of 5 because of US aid cuts and another 11.5 million deaths because of cuts in UK, French and German Aid by 2030. And that doesnt take into account the tens of millions who will be pushed further into abject poverty and suffering.

So we need to continue giving, in fact we need to drastically increase Aid. 56 years ago the rich countries promised to give 0.7% of their GDP in overseas Aid, few have achieved that, many are only giving half or even less of that promised, and what they do give is often given for political and economic reasons to prop up friendly Governments, or given in Loans that have to be repaid and given with "conditions" whereby the recipient of that aid has to agree to economic and social conditions that benefit the donor country. Oh yes, the corruption is on ALL sides, the countries that give and the countries that receive and we must press our Governments to try to ensure that corruption and waste is kept to a minimum.

Aid does make a difference, often the difference between life and death for those in the poorest countries. Case in point, in Somalia at the moment, due to war, drought, political instability and years of societal breakdown a massive famine is looming. The same thing happened in 2020 when, as now, drought pushed a people already on the brink of survival over the edge. The difference is that in 2020 there was an adequate Aid flow to catch most of those falling and mass starvation was averted. Today due to massive Aid cuts from Rich nations there is no Aid safety net and experts fear that millions will starve.

You are so right when you say "Humanity has lost its way", i question whether it has ever found its way, for we are the most wretched of Gods creation, turning all that we've been given to the pursuit of our own selfish desires, and like you, i pray for the day when Jesus returns and ends this man made Hell we've created .

The only people offended (if they even care) are the Somali Muslims and I did not tip toe in my Helicopters in Vietnam and though I know my stomping places me on the Brotherhood's "Heads Off" List I will not run my pigs into the ocean and I will never suck up to anyone wearing a dish rag on their head. How did we get to you saying you didnt "tip toe in your helicopters in Vietnam", you being on the "Brotherhoods heads off list", you will not "run your pigs in the Ocean" and that you will "Never suck up to someone with a dish rag on their head", when all i asked for was your reasons for saying that "the protesters were paid by Somalis to protest" and asked for any news reports you'd seen to back up your assertion?.

As for "May Yashua teach you better", well Christ taught me to "Turn the other cheek, Love my enemies, bless those that curse me,do good to them that hate me and pray for those that spitefully use and persecute me.", and thats good enough for me.

This is how I addressed "B & S" the issues that I see in this forum.

I do not see the need to address anyone in particular, and I do hope that members on this forum will actually read what I have shared (and read what they have said ...) ?

It took some thought and courage to share what I see as a problem with how people speak to each other on this forum.
This "Christian Forum" is not alone with this problem either!

It helps to reflect ... re-read what has been written and what we ourselves have written or how we respond to each other ... it takes a little effort, and those who want change will surely do so.

"Spiritual blindness" is often the result of a calloused heart, as described in Matthew 13:15, where Jesus quotes Isaiah to explain that people’s hearts have grown dull, preventing them from seeing, hearing, and understanding.

Glossing over issues, or justifying what we are doing or saying, does not bring about the change needed to bring people back to God.

At times we must all guard against being a "rebellious spirit".

The Bible consistently teaches that natural human faculties are insufficient for spiritual truth.
Ezekiel 12:2 describes people who have "eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear,"
highlighting a wilful or divinely permitted stubbornness.

Romans 8:7-8 explains that the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God and cannot submit to His law, implying an inherent inability rather than just unwillingness.

It was my hope. coming onto this site "Talk Jesus", as the name implies that the members are here to do just that, "Talk Jesus".

So for what my sharing means to you, I will leave that to you.

I find what you did to be quite rude n rather a coward like move..
