slander/ˈslandər/Slander ..is a
*false* spoken statement that hurts a person's or business's good name and reputation

false/fôls/The word false means not true, incorrect, or not real..

Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins.

and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.

And how do we who is getting what $$$ ... the World is Corrupt to the Core ... humanity has lost its way!
It is Time for Jesus's Return
The world is indeed "corrupt to the core", and we are ALL a part of that corruption, but those that profess to follow Christ must do all they can to try to follow his commandments and his teachings are crystal clear on this matter. We are called to "Love our neighbour as ourselves" and "Treat others as we'd want to be treated", particularly in relation to the poor and the suffering, as illustrated in the Parable of the good Samaritan and in "The Sheep and the Goats" Christ said that when we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, provide water for the thirsty, heal the sick and comfort the prisoner, we are in fact doing it to him. Our Lord and Saviour so identifies with the poor and oppressed and commands his followers to do likewise.

So where does that leave us, not only in our own personal giving but in trying to establish a society where Compassion for those in need is foremost. And to quote your question "How do we know who is getting what $$$", i suppose the short answer is we dont, we dont know for sure where that money is going, for as you say the "world is corrupt to the core" and that corruption touches every aspect of human endeavour. But the answer is not to stop giving, for that would make a bad situation worse. I have seen estimates of between 9.4 and 22 million deaths by 2030 , including 4.5- 5.4 million children under the age of 5 because of US aid cuts and another 11.5 million deaths because of cuts in UK, French and German Aid by 2030. And that doesnt take into account the tens of millions who will be pushed further into abject poverty and suffering.

So we need to continue giving, in fact we need to drastically increase Aid. 56 years ago the rich countries promised to give 0.7% of their GDP in overseas Aid, few have achieved that, many are only giving half or even less of that promised, and what they do give is often given for political and economic reasons to prop up friendly Governments, or given in Loans that have to be repaid and given with "conditions" whereby the recipient of that aid has to agree to economic and social conditions that benefit the donor country. Oh yes, the corruption is on ALL sides, the countries that give and the countries that receive and we must press our Governments to try to ensure that corruption and waste is kept to a minimum.

Aid does make a difference, often the difference between life and death for those in the poorest countries. Case in point, in Somalia at the moment, due to war, drought, political instability and years of societal breakdown a massive famine is looming. The same thing happened in 2020 when, as now, drought pushed a people already on the brink of survival over the edge. The difference is that in 2020 there was an adequate Aid flow to catch most of those falling and mass starvation was averted. Today due to massive Aid cuts from Rich nations there is no Aid safety net and experts fear that millions will starve.

You are so right when you say "Humanity has lost its way", i question whether it has ever found its way, for we are the most wretched of Gods creation, turning all that we've been given to the pursuit of our own selfish desires, and like you, i pray for the day when Jesus returns and ends this man made Hell we've created .

The only people offended (if they even care) are the Somali Muslims and I did not tip toe in my Helicopters in Vietnam and though I know my stomping places me on the Brotherhood's "Heads Off" List I will not run my pigs into the ocean and I will never suck up to anyone wearing a dish rag on their head. I know what I know because I keep up with current events. If you do not... May Yashua teach you better.
Shalom
How did we get to you saying you didnt "tip toe in your helicopters in Vietnam", you being on the "Brotherhoods heads off list", you will not "run your pigs in the Ocean" and that you will "Never suck up to someone with a dish rag on their head", when all i asked for was your reasons for saying that "the protesters were paid by Somalis to protest" and asked for any news reports you'd seen to back up your assertion?.

As for "May Yashua teach you better", well Christ taught me to "Turn the other cheek, Love my enemies, bless those that curse me,do good to them that hate me and pray for those that spitefully use and persecute me.", and thats good enough for me.

If you referring to what i wrote as slander then woe unto you for you too will he judge with that same measuring stick.. personally i would test a spirit when i am being warned to before assuming one is slander
Are we not told to test? Are we not told to warn?..
Now if ya were not referring to what i wrote to you that on me but again if ya are ya could of tagged me specifically not talk or write like i wont see what you are writing like i have done with that cat i warned ya about... If that is what ya did do that was a real weak move im j.s. anyone can talk behind a back capitalize letters like they saying something but it can still sound like clanging symbols..idk perhaps im just to straight up to forward for some people..
I know im not going every ones cup of tea but is rather be lead by the Lord then left in this dark world stumbling around with people who like to watch instead of guide..

Once again if that is not what you did or doing i apologize n ask for your forgiveness for the rant but im sure it'll hit someone n they'll get their panties in a bunch..

Just trips me out so many claim they Love the Truth until its something they dont wanna hear even if it is Truth..
Also
A true brother or sister talks to ya one on one have ya tried to doing that to those you are complaining about in your post?..

I know I talk one on one before i can come to a conclusion..

Dear "Brothers and Sisters",

TALK "JESUS" ... what does this Beautiful Name stand for?

This is how I addressed "B & S" the issues that I see in this forum.

I do not see the need to address anyone in particular, and I do hope that members on this forum will actually read what I have shared (and read what they have said ...) ?

It took some thought and courage to share what I see as a problem with how people speak to each other on this forum.
This "Christian Forum" is not alone with this problem either!

It helps to reflect ... re-read what has been written and what we ourselves have written or how we respond to each other ... it takes a little effort, and those who want change will surely do so.

"Spiritual blindness" is often the result of a calloused heart, as described in Matthew 13:15, where Jesus quotes Isaiah to explain that people’s hearts have grown dull, preventing them from seeing, hearing, and understanding.

Glossing over issues, or justifying what we are doing or saying, does not bring about the change needed to bring people back to God.

At times we must all guard against being a "rebellious spirit".

The Bible consistently teaches that natural human faculties are insufficient for spiritual truth.
Ezekiel 12:2 describes people who have "eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear,"
highlighting a wilful or divinely permitted stubbornness.

Romans 8:7-8 explains that the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God and cannot submit to His law, implying an inherent inability rather than just unwillingness.

It was my hope. coming onto this site "Talk Jesus", as the name implies that the members are here to do just that, "Talk Jesus".

So for what my sharing means to you, I will leave that to you.

No need to write back, just reflect ...

I find what you did to be quite rude n rather a coward like move..
We are not told to talk around people or at people we are told to talk to people..
Words loose meaning when ones ways do not match..

No need to reply back just reflect..

There are many issues on any forum and there are few that are willing to stand in front of Yashua for a Teacher's Judgment. I will answer for every error I commit while wearing this mantle as will everyone posting on the internet. If you are not led by Ruah (Holy Spirit) it is best not to talk.

The problem is, most Christians believe they are indeed "Led by the Holy Spirit", even when their words and actions have no basis in the teachings and Commandments of Christ, and as we hold such differing views on what it means to be a follower of Christ then by definition we cant all be being led by the Holy Spirit. So how do we determine whether someone is being led by the Holy Spirit, when their words and actions reflect the teachings and commandments of Christ, all else is either their own opinion or perhaps something a lot darker.

I have reflected on what you've said and offer my own thoughts on this issue. While its undoubtedly true that we are ALL guilty at times of intolerance and stubbornness, for some it seems to be the bedrock of their professed faith. The attitude" What i say is right and anyone that disagrees with me is not a true Christian" or is in some way trying to pervert the true nature of Christianity is all too prevalent amongst some on these forums. some even claim to have a direct line to God, to know his will and can therefore condemn others should they disagree with them.

What is lacking is humility, an understanding that all we have is "belief", and that we may indeed be wrong. We are here to discuss and learn, well i am anyway, what it means to be a Christian, a follower of Christ, none of us have ALL the answers and our beliefs can only be tested when we engage in conversation with others in a tolerant and understanding manner. We may not resolve our differences, but hopefully in discussing those differences the seeds of truth may be sown., and if we allow them, come to fruition.

I think we must also bear in mind that there are a large number of "Visitors" to this site, some may be Christians, some may not be, but ALL have a reason for coming to this forum, and the exchanges we have, and the attitudes shown in those exchanges, may have an influence far beyond our sometimes petty bickering and perceived self righteousness.

I am a Christian first and a Baptist last. I have done special music in other denominations services and have friends from several denominations. I have had several Catholic friends over these 81 years, one a Priest. We need to use the sword Yashua left us with and put the 175mm Howitzers in the barn. Personality and opinion are not scriptural differences and we must learn to agree to disgrree.

Thats true, we must learn to agree to disagree, but that "learning" must be done with Respect and Humility and as far as possible without our prejudices and opinions unduly influencing our professed beliefs. Our beliefs must be based on the solid rock of Christs teachings and not the shifting sands of those prejudices and opinions.

Brother RAD,

I appreciate your level headedness, and all your impersonal dialogue : )

You made a brilliant statement:

"I think we must also bear in mind that there are a large number of "Visitors" to this site, some may be Christians, some may not be, but ALL have a reason for coming to this forum, and the exchanges we have, and the attitudes shown in those exchanges, may have an influence far beyond our sometimes petty bickering and perceived self righteousness."

When I came back (after nearly a year's inactivity), the first post that I read was: "Do the Protesters even know what they are Protesting"; the title got my attention.

After reading a few of the comments, I was saddened by how members were speaking to each other.

It confuses me why my comments about how people behave on this forum have been twisted, and taken personally?
Perhaps my comment addressed to "Dear Brothers & Sisters", about not being loving to each other, was a case of "the cap fitted", so someone decided to react rather aggressively!

For me it is not about being "right", it is about making a stand, as it is written!

I
urge members (and moderators) to reflect on their behaviour toward one another, and what they condone. Is this behaviour honouring God?
Why then am I "attacked" for making this stand to "Dear Brothers and Sisters"? I was not having a personal dig at anyone, because it takes "two to tango".

The irony of this is that some members probably do not know the "whole story" and are also reacting on part of the story (isolated responses). Emojis can encourage where perhaps they should be left off (esp if the whole story is not understood).
This kind of fits with the post that got my attention "Do the Protesters even know ..." if you get my drift!?

The other thing that I have learned is to stand up for what I believe is right, and if calling members out, makes me an "evil" one, then what is going on?

Again, anyone reading this may think, "what is she on about " Non unlike quoted Bible verses, used to back up an argument, are often quite out of context. Things should never be read in isolation, lest they be taken out of context. How does a jury come to their conclusion ... by gathering all the facts!

My first point was:

John 13:34–35"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

John 15:12"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you."

John 15:17"This is my command: Love each other."

Ephesians 6:14 instructs believers to "Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist," emphasizing that standing for truth is a defensive posture essential to the Christian armor. 2 Corinthians 13:8 reinforces this by stating, "For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth," indicating that genuine Christian action is inherently aligned with and supportive of truth.

RAD I re-iterate that this is a PUBLIC FORUM for VIEWING, where visitors may be looking for a Christian Forum that suits them, or whatever they are visiting for, the MEMBERS and MODERATORS on this site should BE AWARE OF THIS FACT!

I rest my case, and I am not "preaching" to you RAD, but I think that goes without saying : )

Warning: This video mixes ordinary relationship advice with false spiritual teaching. The Bible never says that someone who violates a personal boundary is demonically bound or “likely has a lot of demons.” Sinful behavior may come from selfishness, pride, or lack of self-control. Jesus said evil proceeds “from within, out of the heart of men” (~Mark 7:21-23).

Proverbs 25:28 compares a person without self-control to a city without walls. It does not teach that personal boundaries are spiritual walls protecting us from demons. Ephesians 6:14-18 identifies our spiritual armor as truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, salvation, God’s Word, and prayer. The video is adding something Scripture never says.

First John 4:1 concerns testing false prophets and their teaching about Christ. First Timothy 4:1 warns about people departing from the faith and following doctrines of devils. Neither passage teaches that disrespecting someone’s boundaries proves demonic oppression. The speculation about people touching hair to perform witchcraft is also unsupported fearmongering.

Do not accept this as biblical teaching. It goes beyond Scripture and encourages people to label ordinary sinful behavior as demonic. “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good” (~1 Thessalonians 5:21).

How you see n how the Lord shows me things seem to be different..

I see demons do have a boundary problem they Love chaos n lawlessness they hate having the boundaries of when they are able to rip a baby from a mothers womb they hate having the boundaries of obeying man laws n not being able to run wild..

One can repeat words but unless one lives like the words they speak they are blind to what is going on around them..they cant even comprehend what is being talked about..

Like we are told.. this is a battle of spirits not flesh..

The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Dear Posters,
I've locked the thread from any further replies.

I hear you loud and clear Sister Linda. Yes, very unacceptable in many ways, included is the inability of staff to control the members from acting like children and instead expecting members to behave as responsible Christian adults. However, the next time you or anyone else decides to stand upon a soap box to shout of the injustices of what is happening on Talk Jesus, I'd appreciate you send me a Private Message (PM) so that constructive communication can happen and allow me or another Staff Member the opportunity to correct what is going on before shouting it to the high heavens. Even if one of us is also a contributor to the problem. Mia culpa.

Doing so in the open forum, is in truth no help at all. As you are well aware of that all Social Media even amongst professed believers can be notorious for being vicious towards anyone who disagrees with whatever they have to say. I dare say they would even attack the Lord given half a chance! So, in the future if anyone wants to get something off their chest, as it pertains to how the site or a particular thread is managed, I would first ask you to touch basis with a Staff Member via PM or report the thread in question itself with your reasoning.

I am always for improving the site, as I know all the Staff Members, and Administrator @Chad is. So, you do not have to be concerned that your suggestions will not be heard. They will be. They may not be acted upon in as timely a fashion as you may like, but that will be on a case-by-case basis. I suggest members reacclimate themselves with the following Threads that detail Talk Jesus' Customs & Courtesies (My military background in that phrase), but understand that you would do better, communicating with others who are your assumed brethren, prayerfully and in a manner befitting a Child of God. Yes, even when no one is looking or you believe they deserve less then that!
