Do you fear the Lord our God ?

Matt 5:27; "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY';
Matt 5:28; but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Matt 5:29; "If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
Matt 5:30; "If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.

Jesus is saying lust is just as bad as adultery, in fact it is adultery.

OK, unbelievers don't like it... and the point is? That makes it less of a sin?

Definitely something to be aware of.

Are you joking? Is this your reply to my post? I have to confirm. You want to take another stab at my post before I reply?

Wondering who does or does not fear the Lord our God ?
Absolutely! But this is such an avoided stroke of wisdom. I have invested better than thirty-four years into study and I am taught by Ruah that loving and fearing Yeshuah are best illustrated when Yashuah prayed that Yeshuah might let this cup pass, the cross, and then said but not my will but thine be done. I had this same love/fear relationship with my dad. More than anything else I feared disappointing him as I do our Elohim. That is real love.

Oh is this how we post a rebuttal? Your belief just got tko'd and you post a one liner rebuttal merely starting this :D:D.

I dare you to pick any one of those and explain to me how it is not speaking to degrees of sin.

Imagine asking a question, getting an answer and then making a statement like this without a rebuttal, insane, I can't believe your reply.
I did not rebut...I simply said I do not see different degrees of sin in your examples...different types of sin I did see. You did not show how one is worse than another.....unless I'm blind?

If you take the first one, Jesus is stating in Matt 5:28 that immoral thoughts can be adultery, we know from Math 19 that adultery is grounds for divorce. Thus, Jesus makes sure to state what He does four verses later in Matt 5:32, do not divorce unless there is actual adultery, not merely thoughts.

Ie one sin is worse then the other, ie degrees. These are not merely two types of sin, they both fall under the sin of adultery.

If you don't see this as a difference in a degree of sin, then I propose you think about putting your hand in fire and once you have thought it, actually do it. Let me know how it goes. If you still don't see a difference I will concede. @B-A-C

Think about committing adultry and you do it in your head.....Actually so adultry and the result is the same as doing it in your head....It causes damage One is the same as the other. Unlike your fire analogy BOTH ways of adultry will hurt you and others

You are speaking to sin being sin. That is true. But sin also has degrees.

Imagine you preach from the pulpit and tell the congregation that any who THOUGHT of adultery are allowed to DIVORCE their spouse immediately.

I would bet $1 million that every church on this planet will ensure you never talk again from the pulpit ;).

Matt 19:9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality / adultery, and marries another woman commits adultery.

Oh Ok So you're saying that based on feelings one sin can be worse than another.... And the bible does not say that...Feeling do I understand now

:D:D This is funny Admon.

Can you do an experiment please. Think about putting your hand in fire, then actually put it in and tell me if your "feelings" are hurt.

I could be wrong, let me know how the experiment goes please.

Ok I'll do that....theoretically. I put my hand into the fire...uh oh! That hurts....I feel the pain...I also feel stupid for listening to you and doing it....So did my feeling the pain make the action worse? No. Did my anger at myself make the action worse? No.

Well, if you did it, you would be screaming in pain. Not merely state ''it hurts, I feel the pain''.

Now if you cannot grasp that there is a world of difference between one action that results in screaming and another that does not, I sadly feel you are trolling me and not taking the discussion seriously.

Did my anger at myself make the action worse? No.

Not sure what this means or has to do with the topic.

LOL I think I handle pain differently than you do, my friend. Usually I don't make any noise at all when I get hurt, for a start.
