John says who warned you of the coming wrath.Actually, they could not have believed as they were only doing his water baptism
That means they knew there was a wrath coming and they BELIEVED it.

John says who warned you of the coming wrath.Actually, they could not have believed as they were only doing his water baptism as an outward appearance of doing good without repenting which is what his water baptism was called.
You have to believe what Jesus says and do what he says. How is that not of the will of man but born of God when the sinner is able to repent from all sins before he got saved?
God doesn't work in unbelieving unrepentant sinners. When we acknowledge how our believing in Him is a work of the Father, where can man boast of his will power & his own work in repenting from all sins before being saved by Jesus Christ?
Again, you have to die before you get that new life. The crucifying of oneself is a daily walk with the Lord as His disciple and to be able to do that, you need to be born again of the spirit by believing in Jesus Christ to have eternal life.
If a person doesn't, then they will perish.Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
If man can justify himself by repenting from all sins before being saved, .......................
You get in the race once you qualify for the race.Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Are you done running that race before you got saved or what?
You go against obeying God to get saved and have understanding, so of course you can't see it:None of those verses cites God chooses those who "choose" to obey.
Haven't you heard? Faith alone is dead and can't save anyone.Jesus is not cruel when the hope of being delivered from their sins is on Jesus rather than on themselves.
Sin addicts have tried to quit on their own and they know they are unable to. When Christians testify of their hope in Christ to deliver them from their sins and keep them from their sins daily, then sinners will hope & believe in Him too.
Not enough to take what his water baptism was for. So just for outward appearance. They obviously heard about John the Baptist and his preaching and no doubt their disciples of the Pharisees or their company of followers were talking about him, & his warnings that they felt compelled to tell those Pharisees for why they had come, but John knew they were only coming for appearance sake as he did rebuke them for itJohn says who warned you of the coming wrath.
That means they knew there was a wrath coming and they BELIEVED it.
I believe a sinner needs to repent of unbelief by believing in Him to be saved and they need to go on to perfection by being His disciples living a life of repentance by His grace & by His help to bear fruit into repentance as by His workmanship.John says who warned you of the coming wrath.
That means they knew there was a wrath coming and they BELIEVED it.
Did the wrath come yet, GodB4Us?
You know it hasn't come yet.
You still want to preach we don't have to repent of our sins to get saved?
You have to believe what Jesus says in how you are saved by believing in Him and for following Him, you have to believe what Jesus says in believing Him to be your Good shepherd to help you to follow Him. Do you believe Him or not?You have to believe what Jesus says and do what he says.
Romas 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:God doesn't work in unbelieving unrepentant sinners.
Nowhere anywhere do the scriptures say God saves unbelievers.
Funny how running that race still involves laying aside every weight & sin daily by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us to do this.Again, you have to die before you get that new life.
If a person doesn't, then they will perish.
You get in the race once you qualify for the race.
Because your premise is wrong as you skipped over this will of God as stated here. You go against obeying God to get saved and have understanding, so of course you can't see it:
Why did you skip the post that explains that to you?
John 7:17 Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.
I have heard the Good News to man that Jesus Christ is able to save sinners that believe in Him.Haven't you heard? Faith alone is dead and can't save anyone.
You don't even make sense. Not enough to take what his water baptism was for.
Repenting of sins isn't just for an outward appearance. So just for outward appearance.
They believed about the coming wrath, and JOHN KNEW they weren't going to REPENT OF THEIR SINS.They obviously heard about John the Baptist and his preaching and no doubt their disciples of the Pharisees or their company of followers were talking about him, & his warnings that they felt compelled to tell those Pharisees for why they had come, but John knew they were only coming for appearance sake as he did rebuke them for it
Believe and do what God says. Not what you think He says.I believe a sinner needs to repent of unbelief by believing in Him to be saved and they need to go on to perfection by being His disciples living a life of repentance by His grace & by His help to bear fruit into repentance as by His workmanship.
So you truly are unable to quote a scripture verse where Jesus said people are unable to actually repent.Jesus is not cruel when the hope of being delivered from their sins is on Jesus rather than on themselves.
Sin addicts have tried to quit on their own and they know they are unable to. When Christians testify of their hope in Christ to deliver them from their sins and keep them from their sins daily, then sinners will hope & believe in Him too.
I have noticed that happens quite often. You don't even make sense.
It is a powerful hold on him. Maybe he will do what Jesus says and humble himself and repent.I have noticed that happens quite often.
(But what is one to do?)
Rhema
But I'm very sure from his perspective that he believes to have done so.It is a powerful hold on him. Maybe he will do what Jesus says and humble himself and repent.
Pray.(But what is one to do?)
There are some Protestants that I can only debate them on the gospel by only what Paul says, because they think he preached a different gospel.(It is interesting to note that most of his scripture references are from Paul, whereas yours are from Jesus. Protestants tend to automatically quote Paul and ignore Jesus without realizing it.)
