I didn't answer with the poll because my answer is the first two and then in other ways not listed.

Once, I heard God say my name...not in a booming voice, but in a whisper...almost like a breeze of wind...but did not heed it. *sigh* But I know now...

Sometimes it is just a nudging to do something.

Either way...it isn't how He speaks, but what WE do with it.

I agree with this statement. God has talked to me in a few ways. Like you a few i didnt head, and then felt bad about afterward....I try to head them ALL now.

Once I was walking to the train station to catch a train, for an apointment. AS I was walking, God told me to turn around. It was FREAZING out, and i had just walked half the way there...so I started to pray and ASk God if he was really telling me to turn around, and i felt a confirmation in my spirit, like what im doing right at that moment is wrong...I kept going. I heard again "Turn around" it wasnt technically Audible, like a aloud speaker..it was in me, in my spirit...This time I listened and I turned around. I got home, And then went on with my Day, but still wondering why Jesus didnt want me to go to the apointment. Come midnight, I went to go check my email and saw that the date of the email I received AFTER midnight, was date marked the same as the date of my apointment. the 15th...I was like "wait aminute...its the 15th NOW?" haha Jesus had told me to turn around so i wouldnt get there, freeze my face off waiting for the train, waste my money, and get there, and have it be the WRONG day. So I never missed my apointment after all, and Jesus made sure i My Own stupidity didnt get me sick. He Cares for his Sheep!(dumb sheep...at least in my position)

So Yeah GOD talks. Many ways.

He speaks Arabic to me. Every time He speaks to me, I am blown 50 miles away because of the power in His voice.

Ha ha ha. Just kidding. No one hears God's true voice. Not any more anyway. However, fret not. For we ARE HIS VOICE. We are hear to bring people to His salvation and continue the works of Lord Jesus - the son, the messiah and King.

God works through us now. This was the plan since Abraham.

I was stunned, it was late, and I KNEW i had read Luke before...but i couldnt remeber really what it was about...its about FAITH. The next day the person I prayed for to be healed, told me, that she was fealling ALLOT better in that specific area. I KNOW God had healed her, adn she is gettign better still.

So if you are listening to the spirit God WILL talk to you, and i know the more you seek Word from God, and seek to know him...he WILL reveal himself to you, and speak to you.

...Oh, and HOW do i know its God? Match it up with scripture, and the fruits of what the "voice" is telling you. You WILL know, the voice of God. And if you arent Sure, Ask him. Jesus is LIVING and not dead. His sheep know his voice and obey.

That's not speaking. Speaking is sound from the mouth. If you hear voices in the head, then it's not God, rest and speak to a doctor or hurry to a priest!

Prophets who directly speak to God are long gone. Only we are left and we are the word of God. A WORD is something you hear. Granted, God does lead us in many ways and He may answer our prayers (and He has answered mine) but He hasn't spoken in actual words. Don't kid yourself there. When you were turned around, it may have been your brain making you remember and you knew that it wasn't right or it may have been God's spirit guiding you. God's voice would be to hear Him. That's all I'm saying. A voice is something you hear. The Holy Spirit is something we feel and something that guides us. So in other words, God took you be the hand and guided you.

Those that say that they have heard God and speak to God are either false prophets, crazy or they speak to demons. God only speaks to those that get up and achieve something great. When was the last time a man amassed a huge following and made people remember God? Jesus. He did it so great that prophets aren't needed nowadays because everyone is a follower of God and speaks His word.

The fact that no prophets are around today shows how great Jesus's words are. Jesus could heal by His words and so He could make His words continue forever through us and look - Christianity is the biggest religion in the world.

That's a modern day miracle right there.

I don't believe anyone directly speaks to God and He speaks back from the Heavens but I do believe that He may speak to people although not engage in direct conversation with them. But I knew about Luke 7 a long time ago when I prayed to Lord Jesus to heal my leg which had disconnected from its socket (bone had come out), upon saying "Amen" the leg was connected back to the socket there and then. This was because I knew Lord Jesus would heal me, I never thought about hospital because I had strong faith in Christ that He would heal me and sure enough He did but that isn't Him speaking to me.

Constantine was a roman emperor. He was converted due to followers of Jesus. He then gathered the Torah and the gospels and put them together. If anyone contributed to Christianity, it wasn't St.Paul, it wasn't St.John and it wasn't Constantine. It was The Holy Spirit. I've witnessed miracles and what The Holy Spirit feels like. Anything else cannot compare - only meeting God is greater. The Holy Spirit we feel is just a taste of what we feel when we actually live in God's presence. Times the greatest happiness you ever felt by infinite and that's how being with God will feel. We can only guess right now.

Leaning to our understanding . Has caused all these different type churches and cults!
That does not mean we should not go to church ! We should attend a church , that preaches Jesus Christ and HIS cross!

We do not follow pastors or teachers or anyone on earth! We only follow our LORD JESUS !

It ok to support and work in churches !

I believe in fellow shipping with our family in the LORD! And blessing who we can?

I do not know about anyone here and refering to what LifeinJesus said, but I hear from God directly and i'm sorry to disappoint you that it's not in my head and neither do i need to get my brain re-examined. I hear his voice(still voice within me) and everything i hear always lines up with the word of God thats how i know it is him. I do not know why there are christians that like to limit God and act like they are his spokesman. They come up with things like God does not speak through people directly again, there are no more miracles, no more prophets and prophecies and so on, when the word of God does not teach anything like these. I suggest people spend more time in prayer, fasting and reading their bible thoroughly, before they start coming up with such things. DO NOT LIMIT GOD BY YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING AND KNOWLEDGE, BECAUSE NO ONE HAS IT CORRECT 100% EXCEPT JESUS.

A religion is a system of beliefs. It is religion. Nothing is wrong with religion, don't listen to the fools that bash it, least you wish to become one of them.

Then I'm sorry but you are wrong if you are hearing voices in your head. God never contacted anyone like that but Satan has. When God spoke to Jesus, was it in His head? No, He spoke to Jesus from the Heavens. Everything else is guiding through spirit, that's only God being with you but not Him speaking with you. A voice is a sound not a feeling. When God spoke, He made light. Remember Genesis, God's voice can actually create, kill and heal. It's something you hear not something you see. Don't think that your words will make God proud of you, don't convince yourself through words but through actions. Abraham proved that he loved God through his actions, not his words. However, I have a feeling that you just accept that everything is from God when that's not the case.

As someone who has seen miracles, true miracles, things that even you wouldn't probably believe, I know God is real. Don't lecture me on what fasting and prayer does.

Sometimes complicated questions have simple answers. I'm sorry if this seemed like a go at you but sometimes not everything is from God and sometimes you need to stop and think. Let us be humble before Christ who died for us.

Not only was Jesus God's Son, but He was God in human form. John Chapter 1 says that 'The Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.' Wow, uh?

In the age of modernism, religion is not just a set of beliefs, it is also a spirit. The spirit of religion is what I and my church will not allow. You can not have a relationship with Jesus Christ and be as the Pharisees and Saducees who wanted their own gain at the people's lose.

I praise God that He is not The God who can be contained in a statue or idol. He is far bigger and more powerful than anything. He is higher than any other.

When we say 'Go here, but not there' to Him, He listens. But we DO limit Him. We limit Him in our finite minds when He is Infinite!

God's voice is not just vibrations of a voice box. Or words that are spoken from heaven. Or thoughts that flow from our soul. Deep words that radiate from our very being. His voice and His spirit and His breath are so much more. It is amazing and I can not explain it all.

He is breath. He is spirit. He is life. And He's indescribable!!

Everyone has been watching T.V. or listening to something or reading and a thought which has nothing to do with what you doing comes into your mind? you might say? where did that thought come from?
It was from the LORD or a demon? We can judge if it a good thing or evil thing?

We ask the holy Spirit too put the correct words in our mouth to speak , when we are Not sure what we should say at times!
God gave a Part of His Very being to each child of God to help us in every way in life!

He always in us and ready to help at any time we need Him or want to learn or know anything !

Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

He been a wonderful help too be in so many ways! His help is without limit!

When we cleave this body, We talk with the LORD though our thoughts !Until we get our New Bodies! That are like HIS body !

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’”

This actually says that Jesus worships God, so how then does God worship Himself? It's irrelevant anyway as to who Jesus really is, what matters is that Jesus Christ - The Son, lived a sinless life and died for us. You haven't read the Old Testament have you? Read it and you'll understand God a bit more. Theologians exist for a reason you know and we were built in God's image and we can be quite intelligent but never like Him but he has granted us some of His knowledge to understand Him by.

I suggest you look up the word "voice" before you say "This is how God sounds like and speaks like" because God's voice is not Him doing something. A voice is something we hear, what you are describing is something totally different. It's like saying that when God does something - that's Him speaking when it's actually Him doing, verily, I say that when God speaks, it's His voice and when He acts and causes something to happen, it's Him doing something, maybe it's to communicate with us but that's not His voice.

Am I speaking to you right now with my voice? No but I am communicating with you via text just like God may communicate via actions but don't call His actions, His voice. God's voice is beyond anything we can imagine, don't apply human images to Him for He is not of this universe or of this world. The fact is, is that we won't know what God's voice sounds like until He speaks to us like He spoke to Moses but I never denied that He communicates with us in different ways.

Simply put, don't pretend God speaks to you with His voice. It's stupidity to say God speaks but you can't hear. When I speak, you hear, so when God speaks, shouldn't you hear Him as well? God is mightier than me and you, His voice is stronger than ours and isn't limited to puny thoughts. God's voice can create, that's how great His voice is, that's the word of God and it's part of God and it is God and God is the word. Through His word (i.e, voice), God created light. God said "Let there be light" and then there was light. That's all I need to say, the scripture says the same.

Life in Jesus: ITs really not supposed to be an argument(actually...NOTHING should be an argument.)

Jesus said HIS sheap hear HIS voice.


They Know their master and they follow HIM.

If you have noticed NO ONE has said that the voice was audible, persay, NOR was it "in thier head" please go back over the posts...you will notice no one says its IS in their head...but you insist on using that phrase...

So please stop attacking people for following thier master, and being happy that Jesus comes through on his word.

Sheep are Dumb creatures...you cant teach them tricks, nor can thye manuver very well. But they KNOW the voice of the sheepheard, and come running when called.

Goats are very Crafty, they are thinkers...you CAN train them, and they are consumers. Goats are also very stubborn. Even if you DID call a goat there isnt the likley chance that they would come.

Sheep are like little children, they follow their gardians/parents no matter what, and beleive EVERY word of their parents. Even if its a lie, like telling children about the tooth fairy..santa..etc...But they Believe, why? Becasue they have The faith of a child...which is WHAT we are supposed to have.

Jesus told us to be like little children, and then he called us sheep.

God speaks, and he will ALWAYS speak. Get to know his voice,and don;t lean on your own understanding, but in ALL your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path. Otherwise you will be lost.

There are TOOO many people directing there OWN path, and chalking it up to being led by God. Thats NOT being led by God. Thats living for yourself, and then saying Thanks GOD. Yet he has let you dictate your own life, becasue you refuse to GO to HIM and HEAR from HIM.

Believe what you want but search for what voice means and you'll see the truth. It's like saying that plants talk using their voices when they haven't got one. You're applying what you think is God's voice when it certainly is not and even The Bible says so. There's a wild array of communicating, you can communicate by writing, touching and through facial expressions. It's not just limited to voice.

God can communicate by causing something to happen but that doesn't make the action His voice.

Q: How does God's voice sound like? English? American? Arabian? Chinese?

When I read the Word it is like and old movie where the camera is blurred and only focuses on the actor, that is what it is like when I read it if I believe God is trying to tell me something. The word seems more in focus.

Other times he may use other people and it hits the spot, most of the time it is though I have an incessant voice in my head. Sometimes it will not stop, in my early Christian walk we had conversations and I thought I was hearing voices.

Today God’s voice is tangible and speaks to my heart. When I hear it I rejoice, if I don’t I know He is still there.
