In my opinion, a truthful answer to this question depends on one's view of what a Christian is. If you use the broad definition of Christian, i.e. one who lets the church door whack him in the rear going and coming once a week, I've been a Christian all my life.

But, if you take the narrower definition, i.e. born again believer, I've been a Christian for twenty-four years.

I was brought up in a christian home, then accepted Jesus into my heart 10 years ago. This is my 10th year. Glory to the lamb of God!!:clapping:

Thanks bro

Funny I hadn't thought about the when question for a long time. You brought back many special memories.

My wife and I came to know the Lord at the same time and shortly after got baptised.

We were on the slow side.
One day we went to my moms church and the pastor greeted us with "Hello good to see the black sheep of the family" How do you reply to that?

Anyways the path has definitely had it's bumps and spills but we are His and that is all that matters. He picks us up dusts us off and we walk on in His strength.
Thanks again and God Bless ya!!!!!!!!!

Hey there, I've been a Christian for 15 years. I went to a small Southern Baptist church in the Smokey Mtns. and I got baptized in a "creek" when there was snow on the ground! Hey what can I say, I was obeying the Lord :shade:

I got saved when I was 20, now I am 42, right from I got saved I preached on the streets in my city, then other cities, now I get to go to nations... God is so good...

Very well put. :thumbs_up

I attended a Lutheran, Catholic, Pentecostal church growing up before..... I had a real one on one encounter with Jesus and accepted him as my personal Savior. That was in 1996. PTL!

A friend in my Spanish class invited me and my family to his church, and a few months after that, I was saved. it was 1989.
My family also was saved around that time, and on one Sunday, my mom, two of my sisters and I were baptized. My stepfather soon followed, as did my brother.

Even though I was always taught of Jesus, I never KNEW Him growing up. I was saved at the age of 29, September 7, 1997 & was baptized later that year in the fall.

God bless,

I always believed since I was a child, when my Grandma Minnie took me to church with her on some Sundays.

But after she died, when I was 12 years old, I got rebellious and stopped going to church again. But I still believed in Him, but just ignored Him and didn't live in His way of life.

I didn't totally accept Jesus into my heart again until 2004 when I was 28 years old.
