John 1:1 Explanation
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Most assume because Word was God that Word is God. Many use John 1:14 to validate.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
This is fallacy. The two preceding verses John 1:2 and John 1:3 explain John 1:1
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:2 validates “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,”
Joh 1:3 validates why the word was God “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”
1Co 8:6 explains that all things are of or Authorized of God; and that all things are by or thru the word “showing distinction”
1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Hebrews verse 1 and 2 clarify that distinction more
Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
If you have gotten this far then I must be Antichrist, Heathen, and speaking Blasphemy.
“The Word is God end of story John said so!!!”
But what did John say?
John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
“Ok The word is many things that still does not mean The Word is not God”
16 scriptures above John said;
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
I will end with this verse
2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
