Let us on “Talk Jesus” read at the same time “The Book of Revelations” but make sure it is the same translation”

It is interesting that thought the exercise is still in the ‘read-only’ stage, there are those who are already expressing wrongful interpretations.

Im intrigued how anyone can read that God gave Jesus a Revelation:
  • “The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,”
And yet say here that ‘Jesus is God’.

An interesting discussion follows if the one giving to another is the same one who is the one who receives what was given!

Jesus gave, via the angel, to John what God gave directly to Jesus ... if Jesus is God because God gave Jesus the Revelation... then logically, the Angel must be Jesus because Jesus gave that revelation to the angel to give to John. And John must be the angel because the angel gave him the revelation that Jesus gave to the angel - who thus must be Jesus... and since Jesus is God because God gave Jesus the revelation, then the angel is God, also, and, ipso facto, John is also GOD! So goes the false reading!!

But the text says: ( ‘—>’ : ‘Gave Revelation to’)

[Almighty God —> Jesus Christ]
[Jesus Christ —> Holy Angel]
[Holy Angel —> Apostle John]
[Apostle John —> human Congregation]

Simple! How is it gotten from this that Jesus is Almighty God?

See what I mean...If responders here are stumbling at the very first verse... the OP is going to have a very difficult time with interpretations that are so far removed from truth that no credible agreements will be achieved.

John 10:30 = I and the Father are One.

If a person is going to apply 'logic' to God's Word there is going to be a problem of sorts. ie -- the virgin birth of Jesus was not biologically possible -- it is not logical. Neither is the bodily resurrection of Jesus 'logical'. But those two things Did take place. Miracles are Not logical. They Are supernatural events in history.

There Is the fact of the trinity = Godhead = God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son and the Holy Spirit. Also -- not logical -- but definitely Does exist. :)
 
Updated on my read of The “Revealing of Jesus Christ” I have read through once and have listen through it about 2 times. Also last month and this month went through the book of Ezekiel and Isaiah, Jeremiah about four times each. Since we been reading Revelation I have listen through all three again . Let “the Holy Spirit” guide you, and lead you in your read, and just be patience and enjoy your read. No hurry, no confuse study, no distraction, Some will try to distract you and flood you in all kinds of different directions. Remember the story about the prophet got attack by the Lion. I am not saying this for a negative thought but a positive one. Concerning distractions. Don’t worry about remembering what you have read, but He will remind you of what He said at the proper time.

Who is the one, that controls the winds, the Lightning’s, and the crackling of the thunders! Who controls, the meteors and the “plagues” that fall upon mankind? And who determines where they fall. Who determines how many are destroyed when they fall. Who controls the bowls, that the Angels holds in their hands, And who’ summons the Angels to blow their horns? Who commands the Sun and the Moon not to shine? Only HE, that sits upon“The Throne”.

Can this be real? Can this be all true? Can I explain this all away. Can I use the “Humanity” of my mind to erase such “epiphany”. I cannot, I cannot, if I choose to stay on this path, I cannot close my eyes unto the things I must see, how can I turn my eyes away from thee.
 
I just get like that sometimes. In college I took up speech, and we would to have write and sometime do impromptus all my papers and speeches I would take from the book of Psalms and rewrite things into common day language. This school was a “Secular” college. They would love it! I was given them the Gospel and they never knew it. I wrote a book with such flare as well. That is how you get , when you read a lot of “ the Reformers and the “Puritans”. And the “KJV” by Oxford press. I do not like Cambridge edition. The flow is different. So it is all me. You see the flow of “KJV” is in the style of “William Tyndale”!
 
Hint, you know like when you read the “prophetic” books of the Old Testament and notices just by reading, you see the “contemporaries” and no one told you about them, the more you have read the “prophetic” books in consistent chronologically.
And Revelation is like a library , that has that special room. It is how you approach The shelf
Do you remember the “Dewey Decimal System”? It is also a “Alpha and Omega” of Jesus Christ” in the flesh. In another word term. “He is the 1st one “Born from the dead”

@Wnl -- thank you for sharing that -- discoverrevelation.com -- just looked it up. Wow -- like it. With the questions at the end of the chapters.

They do All the books of the Bible that way. Neat.
 
I use the NKJ -- started out many decades ago with KJ. Back with Dr. Scoffields' notes and only black or dark navy-blue to choose from.

Over the years came across the old NIV -- in paragraph form Lots easier reading through Old Testament. Then a pastor introduced the NKJ to our congregation many years later. That's what I gravitated back to.

One church pastor uses NAS and another one uses the ESV.
 
How are some of you doing on the read. I ran into something last night it was right on point! It “ complimented the read! Whole book of Revelation. It was no teaching at all! Maybe I will feel comfortable to post, but only guided by the “unction” of “the Holy Spirit” outside of that, let the Lord lead you into those places of “unadulterated waters”. That you may drink freely❤️

Wnl -- chapter 13 tells about Two beasts - vs 1 -- 'a beast rising up out of the sea and a description of it -- the dragon gave authority to the beast. vs 5 was given authority to continue for 42 months.

vs 11 introduces another beast coming up out of the earth, had two horns like a lamb and poke like a dragon. It had authority over the 1st beast and had everyone on the earth to worship the 1st beast -- the number of his name is 666.

That is why we are just “Reading” it not interpreting it” and debating it. Every Tom, ****, Betty and Jane out there is “interpreting” it, telling us what “Jesus” is trying to “Reveal”. To Us!
Alright fall back in line.
Because, we are going to be Sitting down at the “TABLE” while they trying to figure out that beast!
 
Well -- God's Word Does tell us about it -- which is why we're supposed to read it. And share what we're learning. There ARE those who believe that everyone Will still be here for all of that.
