Let's share a testimony of praise and thanks daily

I thank God for our venue we have to talk to the Creator of all the known universe. And I thank God that He is kind and compassionate, helping us even when its not a need but a want, thats based on our own compassion or some other good thing that He wants to promote in us. I thank You God for You!

I will be going to work soon for the day, for a days wages. I am glad to work, but tomorrow and the next day I am off, and as I think of many people around the world who dont get days off work, but work as much as possible to just get by, I am thankful for my 2 days off per week. It gives me time to rest after work on the days I work, and lets me catch up on home work on one of my days off. I am thankful for my retired wife who does much work around the home so that I dont have to. She is a blessing as well... 2 is better than one. If one of us falls (having problems of any sort), we know the other is there to help us up, our trusted helper. That is the greatest blessing of marriage, and I thank You Lord for Your rest You give us, and the helpmate You give us. Great is your name Lord.

I give thanks to Lord my God for all the changes he has made in me and all the changes he is going to make in me.

I thank You Jesus for

Protecting from the evil one
Growing my faith
for showing me my gifts
In all things I try my best to give thanks to most Holy God
In all things I try my best to do Good

I will both lay me down in peace and sleep for Thou Lord only makest me dwell in safety
Psalm 4:8

Thank You Lord for rest and sleep.
For safety and for the knowledge of Your protection.
For the comfort of our beds and pillows

Simple commodities taken for granted

And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head.
Luke. 9:58

This morning Ive spent time reflecting on the beautiful hymn posted below

Consider these words........Ransomed, Healed, Restored, Forgiven

and

Praise the Lord!

Praise, my soul, the King of Heaven;
To His feet thy tribute bring.
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
Who like thee His praise should sing
Praise Him ! Praise Him!
Praise the everlasting King.

Praise Him for His grace and favour
To our fathers in distress.
Praise Him still the same for ever,
Slow to chide, and swift to bless
Praise Him ! Praise Him!
Glorious in His faithfulness.

Father-like He tends and spares us;
Well our feeble frame He knows.
In His hands He gently bears us,
Rescues us from all our foes.
Praise Him ! Praise Him !
Widely as His mercy flows

Angels, in the height adore Him
Ye behold Him face to face;
Sun and moon, bow down before Him,
Dwellers all in time and space
Praise Him ! Praise Him !
Praise with us the God of grace*

The blessing of a brother or sister in Christ holds great power in the heavens which holds even greater power for good for all humanity. And when I feel blessed by God or my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, I want to bless them in return.... to spread the love around around so to speak.... and many of you here that are encouraging others regularly, praying for needs, counseling when others need it, encouraging those saddened by the grief found in this fallen world, to you I pray a special blessing upon you, for you bless me with your steadfastness in doing good instead of finding fault which so many like to do. So because many of you here bless me in your love toward brothers and sisters in Christ.... I pray a special blessing upon you, that in whatever way God knows best how to help you, He who is able, will do so with Great joy!!!!

Today I thank the Lord for all the brothers and sisters here at Talk Jesus who joined in prayer for my daughter when she left home last weekend to start university.

All went well, and she has settled in to the residential halls well. Praise the Lord!

Although the home is quieter without her noisy presence......my heart has been at peace.

It is so good to know that the word of the Lord stands forever and that we can rely on His promises which never fail

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee
Isaiah 26:3

So glad to hear that!

Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span
At Calvary!*

Hallelujah.....Amen......Thank You Jesus
Praise the Lord!

There is a several new strains of the flu going around my area. My manager at work was sick, took a couple of days off, went to the hospital, and was tested positive for type A and B of the flu. Not sure what that means, but in the real world where we live, it meant that myself and another at work also got sick with the same thing and both of us were out for 2 days apiece and were sick before and after that as well. But praise the Lord, it is nearly gone now in me, had the first good nights sleep in days, filled with wonderful dreams. I pray the other guy sick with it still, Eric, would recover quickly!

So glad to hear that you are feeling better. Praying for your friend Eric.

I thank the Lord for how he encourages my heart daily. He knows just what I need right when I need it, and it is always perfect! No matter what I am going through, he is always there for me with his comfort, his grace, his compassion, his mercy, his good counsel, his guidance and his direction. I praise and thank him always for his goodness to me in so many ways. I thank him, too, for the strength and the courage he gives me to do what is right, even when it is hard.

Many, O Lord my God, are Thy wonderful works which Thou hast done, and Thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto Thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
Psalm 40:5

I thank the Lord that in the middle of the urban university area that my daughter is studying in, there are still pockets of natural bush and wildlfe.

How wonderful is Your creation dear Lord.

Lately God has brought several people to me as friends to encourage me. Some may look at me, a 74 married man and say what else does he need? They don't understand all of the empty places left in a person as he outlives in the physical many of the people he loved and who loved him. Even if we are certain [and usually we cannot be] that each one of them has gone finally to be in the presence of God, each such departure of friend, parent, sibling, child or spouse leaves a gap will always be there while we live in this vessel of flesh and bone.

But our Father who made us knows all of these things. He knows our needs so much better than we do. The pain and emptiness of our losses may remain but our Father will fills us His love and make it possible for us to walk forward with a smile on our face.

I thank God for those He has brought to me to give me encouragement.

Give God the glory!
