so now you are stating that i am wrong and in sin. but i am saved? all of a sudden that does not matter? if i sin then i am in trouble with god, is that what you are saying?

All I am saying , is what Gods word says: From out of the heart the mouth speaks, so in that regard ,by reading your words you are showing me your heart.
It is not for me to judge another mans heart,as to salvation, for Christ alone knows a mans heart, but I am to judge his words.
Judge in content, not in condemnation.........
well we should all go get drunk and pick up a bunch of people and live in fornication then. i mean after all we are saved so lets live it up while we are in this world. woo whoo, party time tonight. ya all going to join me. remember we are all saved so it does not matter what we do. no fear of living in sin is in us because we are saved.

we need not have fear of god in our eyes,. so are you all going to join me tonight?
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God said it, I believe it.

is this a revelation from the lord or was this something that you learned from the people at your church, school or home. there are two different ways of learning the word of god. from man or from revelation of the holy spirit. galations 1: 9-13

always saved

I have the reserected life of christ thats been to hell and back within me-im pretty excited that he has made a home in me, that i am his and under renovation-in my earlier years of being a christian i always feared loosing salvation and i would still say im a baby christian but i feel so confident that he will never leave me nor forsake me even though i loose the plot at times its a strong feeling that i will be with him.
its a good Q though
If one is not ignorant and who jesus is and has heard the gospel and has even professed to be a christian but produces no fruit in their life onother could say then mmm are they really a desciple of christ.
Or a christian who walks away-or back slides as wel call it and curses god and lives a crazy life we could also say they will loose there salvation
Im thankful i am not god and realise that whatever answer i give will be a fleshy human one, a perspective that is blurred cause of my self indulgant nature.
His ways are not ours, thoughts are not ours and he looks at the heart of man we humans look at mostly everything else.
Our abba father is awsome and is wise-and you know what we dont have to know everything cause he is the boss daddy
peace out

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I could not find an answer on the poll I felt comfortable with. Personally I do believe salvation comes from God and we could never earn it. We can know we are saved as demonstrated in the following scripture:

1Jn 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1Jn 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Again, my personal view on this- if we truly give our hearts to Christ then we may stumble (as all will) but we will never walk away.

1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

This is an excellent demonstration of the parable of the seed as taught by Jesus.
Some seed fell on the way side and was never received into the heart, fell on good ground (a yielded heart) and produced much fruit. Some on shallow ground (a heart that wants the blessing of God but would rather be in the world than walk with Him).
I believe the seed that falls on that good ground is saved and eternally secure. It will bear fruit for His Kingdom.

Mat 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
Mat 13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Mat 13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
Mat 13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

Mat 13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
Mat 13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Appreciate the scriptures given.....Bless you

The scripture just before these are important also: Gal. 1:1-8

So you know:

I belong to Gods body.
Here in Idaho it is a Calvary church, an off shoot of Chuck Smiths Calvary, in Costa Mesa Cal.
We study the word line upon line, precept upon precept, straight through the Bible.
Our Pastor, is an anointed teacher ,from God.

God brought my husband, and I here 11 years ago, closing several other door's to get us here, and we have been blessed beyond measure.

If you care to check it out as far as something I learned from the word,or a man, get into the word yourself, and see.

I take no mans word, for I know the heart within them.
God alone has the way, the truth ,and the life.

The only thing my salvation depends on is Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for sin that pays for ALL my sin, past, present, and future. After all, when he died, ALL my sin was future.

I was not given "temporary life until your next sin"; I was given "ETERNAL LIFE" and sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. Eph. 4:30 :groupwave:

1timothy3

sorry If I can't spell but as well as saved is for I believe he saved us all but thats his faith not mine, the third capter of 1timothy points out that you can enter into the same condamnation as the devil. thank god we can repent for what we do in ignorance but my exsperience is that some pastors forget god and become swolen in pride and instead of inquiring of god as david did they just see words on a page that the legalistily fail to follow and refuse to repent of there misstakes because its not about god to them but about themselves and there agenda not god. and having a pastor tell my wife to divorce me having never spoken to me I feel that god is just for its written let no man devide what god put together. And I made no secret of I Iquired of the lord
and followed. It's a horrible thing to go through nut be asured he never left me and he aint gona forsake me for some fat pastor who knew he was held to a higher stander as well as you only got to hurt one of god children. love not this world amen and I hope this chalenges you to really know god for no longer will anyone teach them all will know him amen

know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of god? do not be deceived, neither fornicators, adulterers, effeminate, abusers of themselves with mankind, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of god. and such were some of you, but ye are washed and sanctified, and justified in the name of the lord jesus christ and by the spirit of our god. all things are lawful to me, but not all things are expedient: all things are lawful for me but i will not be brought under the power of any.

we are to repent of our sins and leave these things alone. if we do not then we are asking for trouble. if we continue in our sins or turn back to them we must repent of them again. but do not be deceived, god is not mocked.

at what point is god going to turn us over to a reprobate mind? because we lack to turn once and for all from our sins. the problem with the once saved always saved message is in fact these passages from the word of god and many more.

this is exactly what paul washer was talking about in his sermon on the video that chad downloaded on here for us.

the bible does not anywhere state that because we claim we are saved or that we are saved that we can just go on sinning and we are automatically saved or still in the presence of our god. these verses i gave are to people that were saved and they were being very much warned by paul that they were facing hell or harsh judgment of gods wrath.

this point of it is true. what is not true is that we can keep going on in our sins and claim we have fellowship with him. the bible states this very clearly ezekiel 18:32- " i have no pleasure in one that dies," says the lord our god "therefore turn and live" or repent. this is to turn away from our sins. it is not to state that we are perfect, rather when we are convicted of new sins by the holy spirit we repent and turn from them. it is not saying claim christ andgo on in fornication or adultery or stealing. it is to stop doing them because they are not gods way.

Can You lose your Salvation?

Can You lose your Salvation?
If you could destroy the streets of Gold in heaven!
If you could take out all the angels at Gods command!
If you could take on God Almighty himself!
I still would not believe you!

Because God is holy and he is not the author of confusion and most of all because he loves me because he died for me and walks with me. His name is Jesus!

Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
:shade:

Salvation is a miracle, anyone who does not believe in (eternal salvation)has not only denyed the miracle but also the very God who works the miracle.

Why are Christians so bent on losing their salvation, how can you lose something you never purchased?
Ephesians 2:8-9.

When Jesus said etrnal life he meant exactly that, and Arminious nor Calvin nor any other theologian can change what Jesus has already declared.
John 10:28.

The Savior saves

A lot of pastors do not operate by the Spirit of God! Thus you have many who believe in an acceptance speech other than repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. And all this filters out through the sermons that these so called pastors give each week! The pastors get the people to focus on the approach and not focused on the Savior who is!

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

We are offered free gifts by our Lord, Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness. Something we can not earn, something that only he can give us. But like any other gift we get we can choose to use it every day or to use it for a while & then toss it out or to exchange it for worldly things we want.
So if you accept this gift & then trade it in or put it away in the closet then the gift is no longer a part of your life (or your death).
Christians are always using the blood of Christ as a personal feel good guilt offering but I rarely see them use all the other powerful things His gift gives us. For example the power of prayer & change. All Christ asks is to have faith. But this faith must produce good fruit if we are of the vine, if not, we are not part of the vine.
Many Christians have been mislead to believe that all they need is to accept Christ as their Savior & wham, they can go on with life like they always did before. The fact is faith without works is dead. And if you are believing that all you need to do is have this dead faith you may find yourself burning on Judgment day.
Christians today are becoming more & more like the Pharisees & Saucedes(sp??)of Jesus's day. We only want THIS letter of the Word to be true but don't want the Spirit of the Lord (Holy Spirit) to be living within us, changing us, helping us repent from our sins. Repent means to turn away, not to keep sinning. What did Jesus say to the people he cured & to the prostitute, "Go and sin no more." So Jesus expects us, no, he commands us to stop sinning.
If we fail wll He condem us to hell. No, well maybe, you at least better be trying to change, to stop sinning, you better be feeling remorse & guilt.
Gnostic type of faith (or belief) in the early church was similar to the way we believe & act now a days. Paul wrote many letters warning of this. I have heard so many Christians saying things like, "Oh well, Jesus will forgive me." Or things like, "I am so thankful God gave me a way out" (for a divorce that had no biblical justification for a divorce). In other words they use thier flesh to sleep in thier lies to justify their actions with God's words.
People like these will not be forgiven if it is their norm. If there is no true humility, regrets or remorse. If you & I refuse to change after we have taken the water that quenches thirst for eternity & do not grown spiritually to produce good fruits then we are not of the vine & we will be cut off & burned in hell.
Where that line is, I have no idea I am not God, I can't think like God & I don't know your heart. But I do know, that we must forgive or we will not be forgiven & that Faith without works is dead.

Repentence is a gift of God also, unless God grants it you could feel sorry all day long and still be lost, look at Judas for example.Salvation is a free gift God gives to whome ever He wills.God makes the choice and enables dead men to come to life so that they may respond. If any of you today are living for Christ well consider your self blessed indeed because you are not sustaining your self but he the Vine is sustaning you so dont boast as if you mustard up enough spiritual juice to keep it steady in this race .If you feel you are genuinely chosen then you should serve the King of glory with evident reverent fear and trembling, and if you know that your hearts are capable of commiting deadly errors, then instead of going about trying to formulate methods of salvation shouldnt we be doing what James said? James 4:8-9.

We need a heavy dose of humility day and nite til we arive closer to the feet of our savior, and once at his feet let us remain there til we realize that back while we were in our darkness we really didnt choose Him but He in his amazing grace chose us,and today we still fumble terribly but He is still the same one who says I chose you.nothin shall be able to seperate me from the love of God,not even all the stupid error I have commited, past ,present or future, because when God decided to choose me He had already known me way before I was born into this world. All of God's vessels are prepared before hand to serve God's puposes,in the end He will get all the glory because He truely has done it all...................

Great post Carlos. You are right that it is definitely the vine that is sustaining us. For without Christ we would be slaves to the flesh. We need to have a willing heart & if we do, God will pump his Spirit through it.

We are saved by faith but if our faith but we can lose our ffaith by entertaining the flesh the longer you stay in sin the more control it has over you if you are not confessing the Lord Jesus i believe that goes further than just saying i believe it's a life style the word says if any man be IN christ he is a new creature so i say if you are not in Christ than you will not inherit the kingdom of God the whole term saved means we are free and made righteous by what God has done galations says stand fast in the liberty wich Christ has made us free it also says some where else to be nolonger entangled with the yoke of bondage yes when we are saved it's becuase of what Jesus did not what we did but if we don't acknowlege what he did that's like we are denying him and he will deny us . But to end the whole argument you can't become an athiest once you get "truly" saved becuase you have the holy spirit God starts pulling the strings in your life if you leave he will chasten you the holy spirit will quicken you and being a child of God Satan will try to destroy you you will be like the protical son and come to your sences like what am i doing you will wake up and get back you might backslide but you know phil 4:13 the flip side is true too you can do nothing without Christ so you wont be succesful at anything unless you turn back to God and Sin will make you feel terrible too so i do believe once saved always saved becuase unto him that is able to keep you from falling that's in jude somewhere we not standing by our self It's God holding us up so you can't fall
