Rom.8:30 "And those He predestined He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified." God chooses us, once a person is justified, his salvation is guaranteed.
Rom.8:33-34 "Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is it that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died more than that, Who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." We have both the advocate and judge as our savior.
John3:3-Titus3:5 Believers are born again (regenerated) when they believe. To lose salvation we would have to be un-regenerated. God's word no where gives evidence that new birth can be taken away.
John14:17;Rom.8:9 the holy spirit indwells all believers
1Cor.12:13 He baptizes all believers into the body of Christ. We would To be unsaved He would have to "un-indwelt" and detached from the body of Christ. 2Cor 1:22 the Spirit of God seals the believer.
John3:15 States that who ever believes in Jesus Christ will "have eternal life"
Rom. 8:38-39 never NO SEPERATION FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST. God who saved you is the same God who will keep you. once saved we are always saved. Our salvation is most definitely eternally secure!

You are right in that no one can lose their salvation, but abiding in Him as in being ready is another matter for many are called, but few are chosen for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb which is the event of the Bridegroom coming for His bride at the pre-tribulational rapture event.
All relationships are based on trust. All relationships should continue to have growth by continually trusting the Lord in helping us to live as His and not just for eternal life. Trusting the Lord is the only Way we can get to know Him personally.
We cannot become unsaved, but we do need to heed how we build on that faith in our relationship with Him.
1 Corinthians 3:10-23 & Hebrews 12:1-29 : Note 1 Corinthians 3:15 & Hebrews 1:29 and why .. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 & Hebrews 12:7-10
The obvious deviation from that relationship is: sinful living as in the prodigal son giving up his inheritance for wild living. Granted, he is still son, but the loss of inheritance is there for him to be having weeping and gnashing of teeth.
1 Corinthians 6: 8Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. 9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5: 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Those sins of the flesh, believers should take to the Lord in prayer for deliverance. They need to heed His guidance of what sows to that flesh and shun them... even if it is a corrupt company of friends. Trust Him to do His work in you: John 6:28-29 & Philippians 1:6,9-11 & Hebrews 2:18 & 1 Corinthians 10:13 & Hebrews 4:12-16 & Philippians 4:13
The not so obvious are the religious extras they add onto the faith in Jesus that takes their eyes off of Him to some other means in living the christian life, thus voiding faith in Him as being able.
It can be from the commitment to follow Christ in saving yourselves to Promise Keepers or catholicism.
Then there is the spiritual religious by worshipping the Holy Spirit in the worship place (which the indwelling Holy Spirit would never lead a believer to do but to testify and to glorify Jesus Christ and thereby the Father,but not Himself in the worship place as scriptures will testify as the only way to honour the Father is through the Son: John 5:22-23 as that is how we shall be judged and how we can only glorify the Father through the Son John 13:31-32 & John 17:1-5 because there are other spirits in the world and thus all eyes are to be on the Son, the Bridegroom, our first love) to seeking another baptism of the Holy Spirit that comes with evidence of tongues when there is only one baptism of the Spirit as in one hope of our calling : Ephesians 4:4-6 & Colossians 2:5-10 & Matthew 9:17 & Ephesians 1:12-15 Jesus is our resting place as all invitations points to Him. Jesus is the Door and thus there is no other door to the Spirit... for we have received Him as promised.
2 Corinthians 13:5 & Galatians 3:14,26 & Hebrews 11:1,6 & Hebrews 4:1-3,9-11 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 & 1 Timothy 4:1-2 & John 10:1,7-11
Both religious strivings above are works that deny Him as being able, voiding faith in Him and all His promises to us. To me that is akin to the foolish virgins that have no oil (faith) for their lamps.
Titus 1: 15Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Romans 11:5Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
1 Peter 4:16Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
So yes, we cannot lose our salvation, but no, not everyone will be ready when the Bridegroom cometh. Keeping the faith in Him is the good fight. Those that defend their works that voids faith in Him will have their works follow them into the earth come judgment day.
Keeping our faith in Him is our wedding garment.
Matthew 22:11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14For many are called, but few are chosen.
As He will lose nothing, He will finish the work in those left behind also.
2 Timothy 2:19Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
The vessels to dishonour are the ones left behind for following a stranger's voice and not His voice, but His promise is this for those left behind.
John 10: 4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. ..........14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Rest assured, all those that put their trust in the Lord to do His work, shall not be put to shame. Are we keeping the faith in Him and all his promises to us to the point that we are resting in Jesus Christ, or has something taken our eyes off of Him? Are we serving the Lord Jesus Christ or something else in His name? Even I need His help to serve Him and to trust Him to have me ready and resting in Him. Amen.
