ONLY ISRAEL CAN BE BORN AGAIN

Even in John 3, Jesus immediately connects salvation to His coming death: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up” (John 3:14). The cross was already being introduced there.
We can read what we know back into this. At that time you wouldnt know he was speaking of the cross. The twelve didnt understand it

Further, after the resurrection the apostles still use the exact same “born of God” language for believers generally:
  • “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God” (1 John 5:1)
  • “Being born again… by the word of God” (1 Peter 1:23)
They were both writing to Jews
They were apostles to the Jews

Thats the new covenant made with believing Israel
well, the jews of the time came close to rejecting the entire book of ezekiel... except for one respected rabbii.

so with regard to believing Israel, well, they already rejected him 500 years prior to christ. then they rejected him again.
so, who is israel? and who is believing israel?

When Israel is brought back into all their land then God will by his Spirit cause them to keep the law

The Kingdom of God is made up of all nationalities and of every tongue, not just Jews.
Unless one is "born again, he can't see, or enter it."

Kingdom of God is a broad term
It can include all in heaven and earth
It can refer to only the millennial kingdom on earth
It can refer to the heavenly kingdom

Israel had to be born again to enter the earthly millennial kingdom

In Acts Gentiles believed to enter the earthly millennial kingdom

In this dispensation all can be in the church, the body of Christ and inherit the heavenly kingdom

[John 3:3 KJV] "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
[John 3:5 KJV] "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." ********* Jesus is saying that to enter the kingdom of God they had to be born again. The kingdom of God was the prophetic, promised millennial kingdom on earth. Christ will sit on David's throne and rule from Jerusalem. Believing Israel would reign with Christ as priests.

[John 3:7 KJV] "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." ********* The nation of Israel had to be born again.

[John 3:16 KJV] "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
[John 3:17 KJV] "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
[John 3:18 KJV] "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." ********* To be born again Israel had to believe on the name of Jesus by believing he was Christ, the Son of God.

Being born again has been popularized to describe a believing Christian. You can use that term, but just realize it's not scriptural. Only Israel had to be born again.
That is false. Acts if filled with Gentiles who are born again. When Jesus says we must be born of water and the spirit, he is speaking about all people on earth, the same as in John 3:16-17, he is speaking about all people:

"For God so loved the people, that he gave the only begotten son; that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the people, but that the people through him might be saved (corrected to the Greek)."

When Jesus was on earth, he spread his "good news" to Samaritans and Gentiles, as well as to Jews. People came from far away in the lands of Gentiles to hear him speak.
