Seeing 11:11 and it's Meaning in the Bible

I am wondering if anyone here has been seeing 11:11 everywhere. I was several months ago. I prayed about it and asked G-d that if it was not of Him, to take it away. Well, needless to say, it persisted I couldn't figure it out, and started ignoring it. After quite a while it stopped. But, now, about 1 month ago, it has started up again, and now with a fervor more than before.

I told everyone earlier that I had been seeing 11:11 everywhere. I just prayed about it and I was sent to the Bible. What I found is astonishing...to say the least! These scriptures could be serving dual-duty, pointing toward end time events, the way the Passover in Egypt pointed toward Christ dying on the cross as the supreme sacrifice.

The rending of the Jewish kingdom, the Lord recovering His remnant from around the world, judgment inside the borders of Israel, a fight with the king of the north(!), and the two witnesses being resurrected.

It's kind of interesting---I would consider myself a fairly stable Christian, not involved in any type of spiritism etc---And yet for approximately 5 years now I have either awoken abruptly or randomly looked at a clock at exactly 11:11---Both morning and night----It's not just the time for me, I see it constantly in all manner of ways----My daughter is aware that I have this going on and pointed out to me that on our computer there is a large greenish/yellow 11-11 that the last one in both 11's flashes off and on continuously, (I'm watching it as I'm typing this)----If you google it you will find all kinds of forums addressing the issue---Most of them are pretty wacko though---As a Christian I did exactly what you did and looked up every verse in the Bible, chapter 11 verse 11, but to no personal satisfaction---Maybe the Lord will have something in store for us on 11/11/11????

Firstly, there is absolutely nothing meriting a need for prayer in this area. Numerology is a dead idea; theist and atheist alike understand that numbers are simply humanly concocted symbols used to signify values recognized by other humans. Even some animals recognize the ideas of "More" or "Less." Numbers are simply "Letters" or characters we have placed to denote how much more or less something is.

The significance of 11:11 is moot, especially when put in the context of all the other times you might look at a clock during the day. Do you think the time 3:16 bears any importance, because of John's verse? Perhaps now you will, but I guarantee you that if you had lived even 150 years ago, before clocks and timezones were standardized, you would have never even noticed. 11:11 bears no more significance than 12:34 or any other time of day. Seeking God's answers on this matter via prayer will ultimately lead you either to a dead end, or a self-fulfilling response for several reasons...

1) Time is relative, and thus, entirely subjective.

2) Numbers, which we humans use to denote time, are also entirely subjective with respect to humans. They are mutually agreed upon symbols for values which, without an observing body (us) would not exist. Sure, 1 would still be only 1, but there would be nobody to call it 1, if we weren't here, and so it would simply just be unrecognized or unvalued value.

3) You answer your own prayers, depending on what happens (or doesn't happen), or what you choose to read into a particular event.



Coincidence is a marvelous thing, and speaking purely mathematically and statistically...it would be far more miraculous if you never saw 11:11 for the rest of your life. The odds are outrageously in favor of this event occurring repeatedly throughout your life, and trying to make something of it puts you in the same silly place as those who think that they're cursed or use relatives' birth dates for lottery numbers.

Numbers, like words only have the power over you that you allow them to. They are arbitrary and defined by us...only us. Outside of us, they are meaningless or nonexistent.

The fret not part of your post I would agree with----But the rest of your reasoning, not so much----I think the Lord uses numerology as well in His speaking to us through scripture---Think of the 7th day, completion etc---The 666 of revelations as the number of a man---I realize that some go way over board with it all---Like Campings current May 21st rapture prediction etc.

The 11:11 thing is more like a reoccurring dream---It started with me at first as just that, a dream seeing the figures 11:11 over and over again repeatedly---So yeah, at first I was alarmed and a bit apprehensive and concerned to know if the Lord was trying to reveal something to me or was it an attack from the adversary----I experienced this for almost 2 years before I realized there were others, (many thousands of others experiencing the same thing)---What is a little discouraging about it is that most of those experiencing it are seemingly unsaved----But I don't stress over it anymore and am sure if it were from the Lord, He'd reveal it to me in a peaceful manner----So now I just basically ignore it.

hello, lease forgive me , I have only just joined and I havnt even said hello in the newbie bit yet but this is just amazing. I knew God was good but , OMG!!! If you will let me I will explain.
I was born again alone at home about 5/6 years ago, the catalyst to this was seeing 11:11 everywhere!! When I looked at my mobile, when I looked at laptop, teletext, kitchen clock, appointment dates, dentist, doctors, telephone bills EVERYTHING!! It was either 11:11 or 23:23 (which is the same) IT WAS BEYOND COINCIDENCE!!!

I have searched everywhere for the meaning, I accepted Jesus and had accepted that I will never know the answer or even the direction until tonight!! I was giving up!! 6 years and I have reasearched all numbers and wacko ideas. I lost hope until desperate tonight I prayed with my fingers on my laptop... And here I am!!!

No need for a numerology separate post, the context of this thread is numbers and God's revelation.

Numerology is any of many systems, traditions or beliefs in a mystical or esoteric relationship between numbers and physical objects or living things. (wikipedia)

I use to wake up every morning at 3am on the dot, if I hadn't google the meaning of this I would never in my own thoughts say this is the Devil's hour. If we don't assess every thought that come to us with an open critical mind, we would accept it without question. So please don't take personal members who objects or have different opinions.

If we are not careful those who are weak christians can get mixed up with occult practices. If no one objected or shared a separate opinion we may had more people saying " yes I've had the 11:11 thing " And that is not hard, we experience 11:11 twice in a wake cycle, ( people like me who go to bed after 12am ) 11:11 can be seen at the airport as arrival time, it's on my train schedule.

Almost 90% of the people advertising this 3am also talked about having psychic abilities. They were involved in E.S.P lets be real , straight up witchcraft. These things were evident to me in the beginning. Why I couldn't see it ? I probably did not want to see it.

So.. I just came across this thread from a google search, finding it was posted and chatted 2 1/2 years ago. I usually am not that ignorant to things happening around me. Just this past year, my sisters became involved with someone - a friend - that has claimed this very thing. She even writes a magazine called 11:11 published in Charleston SC. Now, she plans to go on tour, beginning this month, with my sisters, her children and a couple others, to share her story, and her conversations with the universe. She blacked out one day in 'prayer' and woke up to see 11:11 everywhere, and this is when she said the universe began speaking to her.
My family has been involved in many things through the years, but this has be concerned, and in much prayer. I would love any current knowledge of this, and your prayers that this journey, which will happen in 66 cities, doing 66 shows in the US and Canada over the next year, be thwarted if in opposition to God. God speaks to each of us, if we are willing and able to hear Him. To Elijah it was in a still small voice, but to me it may through numbers as it happened to the sister in the OP. Deciding that God cannot move or speak in a particular way can quench the Holy Spirit. None of us who are believers want that.

We should all have concerns when any doubt comes into our heart. The best way, as always, to beware is to stay on the Lord's side. If God be for us, who can be against us?

My cautions were not intended to never listen but rather to, as you say, "seek His Voice". If He is always at our center, then we will always hear what He is saying to us. Unfortunately, too many, including myself, have been guilty too many times of quenching the Spirit.

Hey All,

I was led to this site and forum, but not exactly sure why. I see 11:11 all the time, and often screen capture it on my phone. I can't honestly tell anyone here that I believe it's divine intervention, chance, or something else altogether. I do know I get whispers that guide me in a direction away from the path I might have otherwise taken. For example, I was an overweight kid, youngest of 9, and raised in an LDS house and town (Mesa, AZ). I was only one of two siblings to graduate high school and I hated sports and physical activity. I wound up joining and serving in the Marines. I signed up my senior year at age 17, and missed the first Gulf War by a few months. I got married, had a couple of boys, and wound up getting a divorce at the same time I was getting out. I got out of the Marines on 12 Sep 2001 after going blind. My wife at the time was in the Pentagon when the plane hit. My birthday is on Veteran's Day, November 11th (11/11), and recently (within the past couple of years), I've been seeing 11:11 all the time. I'm not sure if it's binary code for something (1+2+4+8=15 hexadecimally) or what. I don't feel one way or the other about it, but it does give off the essence of that guiding voice I've heard throughout my life.

Now, what's really interesting is that going blind (mostly, not totally) has been an interesting ride to say the least. I met my wonderful wife and daughter, who just happened to be working in Blind Rehab at the VA medical center in Tucson, AZ. I was the first child to get my bachelor's and masters degrees. I don't have to work, but it drives me crazy to sit around the house and do nothing. I went through a very rough time with massive depression, self-medication, anger, weight issues, and massive anxiety. After finishing my masters in December 2013, it's all gone away, except for some anxiety and depression. Most of it is pretty peaceful with little bumps every so often (not like the roller coaster from before). The thing is, I'm taking on the entire profession of Blind Rehab, because they have been doing some shady stuff with my certificate exam. In my life, I never had a run-in with the law, but for some reason now, I was compelled to file a discrimination complaint with the Attorney General's office. I don't want their money, I just want to see things right. ACVREP is the only certifying body for Blind Rehab professionals, and they are doing wrong to both a client and consumer. Other blind people in the field have had major issue with them, but didn't stand up to the bully. Somehow, I feel that this is the beginning of my calling; to advocate for the blind, to have to be blinded to understand what I'm fighting for. Going blind is not the path I would have voluntarily chosen for myself.

So, long story short, I was led to this group for a reason. I'm not exactly sure why, but I was encouraged to share my story, as I believe it's supposed to be a guide a for others along their journey. Maybe 11:11 is just a signpost to let us all know who are looking for it, that you're on the path that's right for you. I'd like to think so anyway.

As far as I can see, God created us to know the freedom of his love by which we would follow his will.

Free-will is a very diverse subject and widely debated as to how it applys.

But the one thing that is for certain is that the extent of the freedom most men make claim to today was an abuse of the freedom which God gave them.

The time is short. There is no room for doubt about that. The heads of the nations are getting ready to destroy all religious freedom and that is the very next thing you will see.

I cannot say as we who make claim to be Christian have not helped to bring this about. For we feud and argue like children unable to reach agreement on much. And that has turned multitudes against religion.

I am not sure that your 11:11 theory is or is not anything. But, for now let us concentrate on storing up that incorruptable seed of life in us by trying to correctly understand it and make it a permanent part of us. For, it won't be long and what you have stored in your heart is all you will have.
