Who is the HS to me?

When I read this bible I read several forms of the HS.

I will put the verses and you tell me.

The HS comes from God who is Holy so as you read these different HS
they are holy and you will see that they are called Spirit

John 6:63 (KJV)
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

This verse alone speaks volume

Jesus says his words are spirit, this lets me know that every word Jesus speaks is spirit

Jesus is holy so this makes his words holy and we read they are spirit

Tell me why the churches don't teach this
So what is the difference in Rhema and Logos?

Luke 1:19 (KJV)
And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

What is Gabriel job ?

Why is he in the presence of the Lord?

It's all one and the same person. Father, Son and Holy Ghost are titles. The name (singular) of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is the Lord Jesus Christ! There is only one God and there will only ever be one God. If we worshipped more than one god then that would make us heathens!

The Father, Son and HS are titles

But there is to many verses in God's word to suggest that there is only one God.

In the first chapter of Genesis tells is that there is more than one God

Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Let us implies more than one

Revelation 1 let's us know that there is more than one God

Revelation 1:1 (KJV)
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

What we read above is the protocol

John 5:43 (KJV)
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

What is the name of God?

Jesus
Jehovah
Jah
Melchizedek
Israel

It might appear that the Bible says that there is more than one God but, all said and done, it doesn't actually say it and it never will. God has written His Word in such a way that it will befuddle and confuse people - it is meant to be that way - but the fact remains that there is only one God. The thing is, we are not meant to try and work everything out but we are meant to believe the impossible. After all, we live by faith. If we try and work everything out then we will all tie ourselves up in proverbial knots.

God is Spirit and we cannot see Him in that form so He therefore poured Himself into the Logos, i.e. a form in which we can see Him. The 'Us' in Genesis is God in Spirit form (invisible) and the Logos (God manifested). We are also spirit beings (invisible) enclosed in a body of flesh (us manifested). When we die, we'll have a body prepared for us otherwise we will not be able to see each other simply because we are spirit beings.

God was manifested fully in Jesus Christ. Jesus was God. Great is the mystery of Godliness!

There are different kinds of spirits

So I understand you to say that there is only God and Jesus?

I am not understanding your math...how you come up with 4?

I am asking questions because I do not understand your conclusion to this.

You do not believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit? Do you believe God and Spirit are the same? So you just believe the two?

John 5:43 (KJV)
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

What is the name of God?

Jesus
Jehovah
Jah
Melchizedek
Israel

I am....but God Goes by many names to describe His character.
When you come in someones name...sometimes it is talking about coming in His authority.

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you are saying either. What's this '4' that I am suppose to be coming up with?

Also, I never said I did not believe God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit. I said that God is Spirit (we also have a spirit body) and He poured Himself in a form whereby He could reveal Himself in many forms, i.e. Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Cloud, Burning Bush, Man at Abraham's tent door, Melchizedek, Jesus Christ etc. It was God all the time. It's like an actor that plays many parts in a play and yet it is the same person all the time.

It says in Matthew 1 that the Angel said to Mary that that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. So this would make the Holy Ghost the father of Jesus. So where does does God the Father come into this? The simple fact of the matter is that it's all God. We just need to believe. it says in Isaiah 43:10, '... before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me'. So who is Jesus then? The answer is simple. It was God fully manifested in human form.

Thanks for the intelligent responses.

I respectfully disagree

The us in Genesis signify more than one,

The God who is speaking is talking to someone

The God of the OT as some like to call him said this

Isaiah 57:15 (KJV)
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place , with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

We have God speaking about dwelling with another God

Not In this case and here is why

When I read verses like the one below, it has to be two in the Godhead
Both with a name

Proverbs 30:4 (KJV)
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

Some people teach that there is one God in 3 persons

We can't read that in God's word

I can read where the Father is GOD
I can read where Jesus is God

This leaves me with 2

Where the 3 persons come in I don't know, but I do know this
1 god
In 3 persons
=4

It don't make sense to me

I know there is a God the Father
I know there is a God the son Jesus
There is the Holy Spirit
There is many forms of spirits from God in the bible

If there is only one God

Why would Jesus tell us this

John 5:37 (KJV)
And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

Jesus is letting us know that there is a God his Father that man has never seen or heard.

Man has never dealt with the Father

The key is how you approach this. If you approach God's Word not knowing how many gods there are then you are going to be inevitably confused. But if you believe that there is only one God then it doesn't matter how the Bible says it. We are to line up with God's Word, not the other way round. The thing is, if we believe there is more than one god then that is idolatry pure and simple. if you cannot understand something just pray about it.

This is how we read Gpd's word

Isaiah 28:9-11 (KJV)

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. [10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: [11] For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

  • John 14:16-17
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Note please Howard that the Holy Spirit is the Counselor.

    The world cannot accept who?

He is invisible, unknown to the world.

This is not God the Father or Jesus, both are
    referenced within scriptures. This counselor
lives with you and will be in you. The
Holy Spirit portrayed here as "he", this
is not a power or force but "he".

The Holy Spirit points us to Jesus, the Holy
Spirit can be blasphemed. The Holy Spirit
is a divine person Howard. You cannot
blaspheme a force or a power, you can only
    blaspheme a divine person.

That is why the baptism mentions three
names not two. Personality is always
attributed to the Holy Spirit. Our
Holy Spirit can be grieved at your
    conduct.

If you were to baptize people in only
two names you would be in error.
You must follow the apostolic instructions.

    Three names constitute three persons
in one God. The Holy Spirit is active
and works with us since Jesus has
returned to His Father. Alas, when
two or three are gathered in the name of
Jesus then I am present. The Holy Spirit
is present with two or three. The Holy
    Spirit is God.

If what you claimed was true the baptismal
statement would not be in the form it is.

I do not believe in three Gods.

The word "trinity" does not appear anywhere in the Bible. But then there are other words we use to describe things that are not in the Bible either.
I believe all scripture is given to us directly from God, and it is impossible for God to lie.

The word "Elohim" is a plural singularity. Meaning God is singular, yet plural in His existence.

When God said let "us" make man in our own image...I see one man with a body, soul and spirit.

In Isaiah 6:8 He hears the voice of the Lord saying "Whom shall I send, and who will go for US?"...Isaiah never questioned the US..he just said "send me."

The writers of the NT also confirm the idea of singular/plural (trinity idea).
God used human terms to describe himself...Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

By claiming that there is only one God and saying He cannot be referred to as Father, Son and Holy Spirit is relegating God to a human existence...in other words- God is absolute, pure Deity. He has the power and ability to create space where there was no space, and a universe to fill that space. He also knows everything. His ways are not our ways etc.

I see it almost an insult to say that God is not capable of touching our lives as a compssionate Father, A saving SON and an infilling Holy Spirit. We are putting human limitation on His Divine existence!
Not to mention that Jesus himself refers to the trinity.
