- John 14:16-17
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
Note please Howard that the Holy Spirit is the Counselor.
The world cannot accept who?
He is invisible, unknown to the world.
This is not God the Father or Jesus, both are
referenced within scriptures. This counselor
lives with you and will be in you. The
Holy Spirit portrayed here as "he", this
is not a power or force but "he".
The Holy Spirit points us to Jesus, the Holy
Spirit can be blasphemed. The Holy Spirit
is a divine person Howard. You cannot
blaspheme a force or a power, you can only
blaspheme a divine person.
That is why the baptism mentions three
names not two. Personality is always
attributed to the Holy Spirit. Our
Holy Spirit can be grieved at your
conduct.
If you were to baptize people in only
two names you would be in error.
You must follow the apostolic instructions.
Three names constitute three persons
in one God. The Holy Spirit is active
and works with us since Jesus has
returned to His Father. Alas, when
two or three are gathered in the name of
Jesus then I am present. The Holy Spirit
is present with two or three. The Holy
Spirit is God.
If what you claimed was true the baptismal
statement would not be in the form it is.
John 14 gives the job description of the Comforter, yet the chapter does not call him God or says that he belongs to the Godhead
