The pharisees were considered men of God by the jews of that day. They knew scripture well, and would use it as a sword, which it should be at times when the Lord says to. But they used it as a sword, even when God desired mercy. Jesus said the two greatest commandments were so great, that if you followed those, you would automatically follow the others. I do speak the truth. You have many words, not all beneficial, and you like to use that sword, seemingly with glee. I do see some similarities with the pharisees, but some pharisees were not so bad, we hear mostly about the bad ones, perhaps you are a good one, perhaps not.So what are you saying Brad? That a little child may understand. What are you calling me a Pharisees a devil or what, a false prophet a deceiver of men. Because that last reply you are putting me in the class of the Pharisees, Jesus told them their Father was the Devil, John Baptist called them a den of vipers! Do not not speak in Riddles. Speak plainly! Call me sir stand up like a Child of God and speak the truth! Be bold! Hot or cold! It is time for weak Christians, to stand up! Jesus even refereed to a woman as a Dog! Festus even called Paul mad! Come on take one for the team!
John 3:1-3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; 2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
This man talked a lot, but he worthwhile is Jesus's eyes, and the man was receptive to Jesus's teachings. Perhaps you are more often like him, than the ones that were normally spoken badly of. Thats between you and the Lord. I just see the similarities. I do not say this to put you in a bad eye, but to hopefully help you see what you cannot see, just as you didnt see what Trevor or I said. Peace brother.
