The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Those Christ died for, they could never die in their sins, because when He died for them, He put away their sins Heb 9:26

26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

This truth is vital to Preaching the Cross, what resulted from Christs Cross work, the sacrificing of Himself for sinners.

If all sin is not dealt with , on the behalf of the believer, then Salvation is in vain.
The Good news, is that the "one time eternal sacrifice for sin", that is the Cross of Christ, has been accomplished.
Jesus Himself said, from the Cross...>"it IS Finished".

Heb 4:3; For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, "AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST," although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Heb 4:4; For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";
Heb 4:5; and again in this passage, "THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST."
Heb 4:6; Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,

You have to be obedient. Or else...

If you are born again, you have already entered into the rest.
In fact you are in the Kingdom of God.

When you become a SON of God, you have ENTERED the "rest".....>you are not waiting for it.
The rest is not down here, .. the REST, is to become "one with God"......."In Christ".....as a "new Creation"
So, that is ALL the Born again........have entered the " rest."
The disobedience that keeps you from the "rest".... is to not have done the WORK of God.
What is that?

"The work of God, is that you BELIEVE in Jesus, whom God Sent".

Jesus's death on the cross is only part of the Gospel message. His death "disarmed" principalities and powers" from the ability to accuse man to God. The "strength" of sin was the "law" from which now we are set free from. "Redeemed from the law by the body of Christ"

Without the resurrection of Jesus from the dead Jesus, death would have been in vain.

1Co 15:13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either.
1Co 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.

Hi You dont make sense to me friend,

By Jesus Christ death upon the cross as our[His Church] Substitute, the Son of God paid our[His Church] debt, made atonement for our[His Church]sins, and redeemed us[His Church] from the curse of the law by making satisfaction to Divine justice for us[His Church].23

If you are born again, you have already entered into the rest.
In fact you are in the Kingdom of God.

When you become a SON of God, you have ENTERED the "rest".....>you are not waiting for it.

Perhaps... but you can be removed.

Matt 13:40; As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Matt 13:41; The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Matt 13:42; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Even Satan was once a "good" angel in heaven.

Luke 10:18; And He said to them, "I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.

as well as a number of other angels.

Jude 1:6; And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day,
Jude 1:7; just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

Matt 8:11; "I say to you that many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven;
Matt 8:12; but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Its just as Christ dishonoring to His Saving Death to say that His death saved no one apart from their believing, as to say His death saved no one apart from their good works of charity, or keeping the law, or water baptism.

That is indeed a secret. The death of Jesus paid the price for salvation of all, but apart from the faith necessary to apprehend the salvation, one is left out of the born again experience and
the knowledge of that glorious truth. God determines when each individual will come into that knowledge and experience as He is the one who gives the faith necessary to believe in the
death, and resurrection, of Jesus as paying the price for their personal sin.
1 Co 15:22-23 As in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive. BUT EVERY MAN in his own order..........................
As God is the justifier of the one that believes in Jesus, because He is the giver of faith, He decides the order in which each will arrive into the new life purchased by that sacrifice.
Rom 3:26-27

Eph 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved THROUGH FAITH; and that (FAITH) not of yourselves: it (FAITH) is the gift of God." Thus God is the justifier of the believer.

Adams one sin brought condemnation to ALL because God said so, and also the one act of righteousness by Jesus purchased justification and life for the same ALL because God said so.
Rom 5:18

It should be obvious to all that God did not need to condemn ALL people, but He did in order to allow them all to gain the knowledge of good and evil and to reconcile them ALL through
Jesus Christ to Himself who was foreordained to be the sacrifice for the sin of the world prior to the foundation of the world. The condemnation was absolutely necessary to fulfill the
will of the Father, and as it was/is the will of the Father then He alone has the honor of justifying every single individual ever born through the law of faith that only He can provide to the
individual in order to believe in what He has done through Jesus and because of Jesus' obedience.

Christ death is a saving death because those for whom He died, or suffered, it brings them to God. That means it effects conversion to God 1 Pet 3:18

18 For Christ also hath once suffered[or died] for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Those He died for, likewise will be quickened by the Spirit. Thats what begins their conversion or being brought to God.F

Gal 2:20 “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine (TPT)

So do you believe Christs death is a saving death ?

Christ did so much more than dying for sin and making Salvation possible or available to all mankind, thats such a false teaching, However what He did do for them He died for, Gods Elect, He absolutely put away their sin before God Heb 9:26

26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

The words put away means:

  1. abolition, disannulling, put away, rejection

He cancelled their sins, made them non and void.

Like Daniel stated He made and end of them Dan 9:24

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

And so consequently, them for whom this has been done for, no charge of sin can be laid charged against them, not even unbelief/disobedience.

Christ did so much more than dying for sin and making Salvation possible or available to all mankind, thats such a false teaching, However what He did do for them He died for, Gods Elect, He absolutely redeemed them from the curse of the Law Gal 3:13

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Thats Salvation, for sin finds its curses because of the Law 1 Cor 15:56

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

The law nor sin can condemn any sinner Christ died for.24

Christ did so much more than dying for sin and making Salvation possible or available to all mankind, thats such a false teaching, However what He did do for them He died for, Gods Elect, He absolutely obtained for them eternal redemption Heb 9:12

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Not made it available, or merely possible, He obtained it for them, and brings them into the realization of it.

The word redemption here lutrósis:

lýtrōsis (a feminine noun) – properly, the payment of the full ransom-price to free a slave – particularly the redemption of an individual.

This redemption frees the sinner from neing a slave to sin, to obeying the Truth Rom 6:17

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants or slave of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

God must be thanked for being made free from being a slave of sin unto obedience, because He sent Christ to obtain eternal redemption for them !

Christ did so much more than dying for sin and making Salvation possible or available to all mankind, thats such a false teaching, However what He did do for them He died for, Gods Elect, He absolutely redeemed them unto God, by His Blood observe Rev 5:9

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

To be redeemed to God is Salvation, or why the New Song ?

Christs saving death is saving/salvation because it gives life, and that more abundantly. Jn 10:10-11

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they[Sheep] might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Notice in Vs 10 that Jesus says specifically of His Sheep, that the reason why He came into the world was so that they might [ as in purpose] have life, not to offer life to them, but so they may have it, experience it, and that in a abundant manner. Then He gives us in Vs 11 the cause and ground of that giving them life, because He giveth His Life [meaning His substitutionary death] for them the Sheep. His death for them, ensures them having [experientially] life and that more in abundant.

That word abundantly in Vs 10 is the word perissos and means:

  1. exceeding some number or measure or rank or need
    1. over and above, more than is necessary, superadded
      1. exceeding abundantly, supremely
      2. something further, more, much more than all, more plainly
    2. superior, extraordinary, surpassing, uncommon
      1. pre-eminence, superiority, advantage, more eminent, more remarkable, more excellent

This is speaking of Spiritual life, so Christs death ensures the spiritual abundant life. This is also what Christ meant whe He spake these words in Jn 6:33

For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

The world here is not all without exception, but His Sheep World, all without distinction.

Both Faith and Repentance are the fruit of Christs Death and our reconciliation to Him. All for whom He died have been reconciled to God Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

So that reconciliation will be manifested by us returning to God, which entails Faith and Repentance. Peter writes of that here 1 Pet 2:24-25

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

The word returned here is the word epistrephō:

And its in the passive voice,

  1. to cause to return, to bring back
    1. to the love and obedience of God
    2. to the love for the children
    3. to love wisdom and righteousness

This is describing our conversion in Faith and repentance towards God. The saving death of Christ is responsible for our turning to God.
