Not receiving an answer to prayer quickly or in what we deem a reasonable length of time doesn't necessarily mean our petition hasn't been answered. Sometimes answers to prayer are delayed by spiritual warfare in the heavenlies (See Daniel 10:10-14 NIV)

This post was excellent. I have always believed that God always answers prayers. He answers them when he believes it is the best time for them to be answered.

We must also understand? We are NOT building up treasures on Earth! But in the eternal ,In NEW JERUSALEM!
We want healed so we can serve HIM better and have a good testimony to tell others , that they to can be healed!
We need our testimony , it is one of the three ways we overcome!

When people pray in Jesus Name and do miricles, and even prophicy in his name, not neccesarely that God herard them. I also prayed in Jesus' Name for sick people and they got healed. I thought I am going to heaven, and God would be proud of me. All these miricles that happened because i prayed for the people. Then one night in a dangerous squatter camp here in South Africa i asked the Lord to heal a two-year-old boy. Nothing happened. When i got home late that night, i asked God why is He sometimes there, and sometimes not. This is what God answered.
1 st. 1 John 3.
9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
And I thought I was reborn. So I was shocked to hear that if I was reborn I cannot sin. I said out loud, "But Lord we are all sinners, and we will only be perfect after this world."
God said.
2 nd. Matthew 7: 21 to 23.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I then ask God what should I do, and he said verbally: "GENESIS 1:1 READ!"
So i started in Genesis 1:1 and prayed to the Father to open my heart for HIS TRUTH. And i studied His Word for 188 000 hours now, believe me i had many more shocking Truths Revealed to me By the Comforter, His Spirit!
We can be perfect in this world, because it is His will, not mine! Nobody can keep God from making a person perfect, and the way he does it according to scripture is by REBIRTH. The New Creature you refer too is reborn from God and is perfect, even as his father in heaven is perfect, because God made him perfect! The New Creature does not have any of the old in him, and the old has died IN CHRIST JESUS!
Read the parable of the old and new wine, in old and new bottles. (Luk 5:37 and on)
17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW (A HOLY LIFE
ERFECT) OLD THINGS (SIN) ARE PASSED! And that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Not asking in God’s will always brings trouble. We just pray at times by lips but our minds wander at our own selfish plans supported by our impulsive emotions which lead to a failure. Simply because our prayers sometimes are not patterned according to God's will which we could only find in His own words.
Thus, it's really healthy to ponder God's words and promises everyday of our Christian life to embrace the desires of our hearts or answers of our prayers. Hallelujah!

I really enjoyed the OP and intend to reread it several times for my personal edification.
I do think that we must be persistent in prayer and God's silence does not necessarily mean "NO".
I heard it said one time that-
***God sometimes answers yes
***God sometimes answers no

5. Not asking in God’s will
This is the hardest one for me, when praying for unsaved loved ones and not seeing results. We know that the Lord wants everyone to be saved, so that's His will, according to His word. But when we pray, yet see our unsaved loved ones unchanged and unsaved, it's hard to believe that He answers some of our prayers. And worse yet, prayers for salavtion are about the most important prayers anyone can offer.

Many prayers are not answered because many forget the fudamental principle which Christ tells us, that we must deny our own will, and submit to His only. We may have a request of God, but as Christ, we should also conclude in prayer: "not as I will, but as thou wilt.
May I add one more reason a prayer might not be answered! God never heard it,because... John 9:31 says...
31Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Oh what an awesome God this is! May I be the first to confess, He hears me not, because i am sinner! And may I soon be a fervent praying righteous man, in His will!
Thank You Jesus, that you had time to spend with me too! May Your Life become mine! I Love You Jesus Christ as much as it is possible, for a human like me! Please let Your will be done in my life!
