WE HAVE TO EAT JESUS

Status
Not open for further replies.
No. Neither you nor us are God to be doing God's work.
Where do you ever get that to do God's work makes us God?

God is called God, Master, and our Father.

Since when do you get it makes us God to do what God says to do, or makes us the Master when we do what our Master says to do, or how does it make us our human father if we do what our father tells us to do?

Jesus said it was His food to eat as He is sent to do the will of the Father that sent Him and to finish the Father's work. You & us cannot do that. Only Jesus Christ can do that, therefore you & I cannot eat Jesus's food.
Jesus tells us what to do. When we do what Jesus says to do, it is how we eat of him.
Counter scripture for why and how you are misapplying His words above because here is the work of God we are to do below.

John 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

That is the TRUTH!! Believe in Jesus Christ as in trust Him to do what He said He was sent to do. Or don't you believe Him? Don't you trust Him to do this? Does this act of unbelief on your part voids faith you have in Him? Are you naked of your wedding garment?

You are badly mistaken.

Jesus says God's work FOR US TO DO, is to believe in Jesus.

The Jews only knew of God the Father, and now they have to believe in this man Jesus who says they now have to go through him to remain God the Father's.

All the scriptures that Jesus says to believe him, they don't nullify all the scriptures where he tells us to obey him.

We have to believe that we have to obey him and THAT IS HOW WE HAVE THE PROPER WEDDING CLOTHES.

Do you understand that?

Those who don't obey Jesus aren't clothed in Jesus.

Revelation 16:15 "Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed."

Romans 13:14 Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to arouse its desires.

Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Ephesians 4:24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Colossians 3:10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 14And over all these put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity.

We are CLOTHED in Christ when we OBEY JESUS THE CHRIST.
Until Adam and Eve disobeyed they were clothed.

As sons of God we can do the will of the father that works in us . He promies us he will not forget the good works we can offer in respect to his name (power) Things that acompany salvation again his power in us.

Hebrew 6: 9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
It still goes to point that we can do nothing without Him. Sure we have done good works, but not without Him. It is one of the other things we can give thanks to the Father for in Jesus's name that He enables us to serve Him at all.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

The key here is that He empowers us and so it is not on us to do His work in us or through us, but we do need His help to trust Him to do this as well as to follow Him for we are His workmanship.
He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world, that's the power, our great potential from the Lord. But just to borrow a concept from physics, potential is an energy that's stored up in an object. But no matter how great it is, it's still potential and inactive. We have to activate it by overcoming our inertia with the spiritual momentum and converting it into kinetic energy or other kinds of energy.

Beloved one, we eat the flesh of the Son of Man, that we eat the bread of life by COMING TO HIM.

For we heard :
“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he THAT COMETH TO ME shall never HUNGER; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Also we heard :
“Blessed are they which do HUNGER and thirst AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS : for they shall be filled.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So we who eat the flesh of the Son of Man are we who are hungry after righteousness of God, that we COME TO JESUS.
Beloved one, remember what apostle Paul told us:
“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So Jesus’s wisdom, things that He speak not in the words which man’s wisdom teach but by which the Holy Spirit teach; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

If we speak to others in the words which man’s wisdom teach then we speak not as Holy Spirit teach ; we are not comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

So let us speak to others as the Holy Spirit teach ; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

If we are to eat the flesh of the Son of Man or Jesus, we should perceive spiritually that He asked us to COME TO HIM, that we should no longer be hungry, then we shall be filled with the righteousness of God.

The question that we should ask HOW DO WE COME TO JESUS ?
For only by coming to Jesus, we eat the flesh of the Son of Man as He said.

Bear with me, as I elaborate in length : how we COME TO JESUS ?

Beloved ones, we have heard:

“It is written in the prophets, ‘
And they shall all be taught by God.’
Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father COME TO ME.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, have we considered what have been written in the prophets ? What shall they be taught by God, that they may come to Jesus ?

We heard:

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord,
And great shall be the peace of your children.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Whose children shall be taught by the Lord? What have been taught that bring great peace to the children?

This is what we have heard:

““O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So we consider the children of the afflicted one, who shall be taught by the Lord. And that the children of the afflicted one, shall be taught by the Lord, and great peace shall be brought to them.

How they shall have this great peace ? This is what we have heard:

“Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:165‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So those who have great peace those who love His law, and nothing causes them to stumble.

So we consider that the children of the afflicted one has been taught the law of the Lord.

So what have been taught by the Lord?

Also, we have heard:

“No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.””
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If every man shall no more teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying,’Know the Lord, from the least of them to the greatest of them, that the Lord said. So what every man have been taught by the Lord ? So what every man’s saying that they know the Lord ?

So every man have been taught by the Lord, that they said that they know the Lord, for He will forgive their iniquity, and their sin He will remember no more.

How will He forgive our iniquity, and our sin He will remember no more?

We heard:

“For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭11:27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So the Lord will forgive our iniquity, and our sin He will remember no more, that He takes away our sins, for this is His covenant with us.

What is His covenant with us ?

This is what we have heard:

“Therefore BY THIS the iniquity of Jacob will be covered; And THIS is all the fruit of taking away his sin: When he makes all the stones of the altar
Like chalkstones that are beaten to dust,
Wooden images and incense altars shall not stand.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭27:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What is BY THIS, that iniquity of Jacob will be covered ? We heard “BY THIS”, that THIS IS ALL THE FRUIT OF taking away his sin.

So what is this all the fruit of, that is taking away his sin ? This, we heard:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law.

And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22-24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So this is all the fruit of the Spirit, that is, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, of taking away our sin, against such there is no law.

For we heard:
“When he makes
When he makes all the stones of the altar
Like chalkstones that are beaten to dust,
Wooden images and incense altars shall not stand.” in Isaiah‬ ‭27:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So what are the chalk stones that are beaten to dust?

This is what we have heard :

“You have also given me the necks of my enemies,
So that I destroyed those who hated me.

They cried out, but there was none to save;
Even to the Lord, but He did not answer them.

Then I beat them as fine as the dust before the wind;
I cast them out like dirt in the streets.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18:40-42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So them who was beaten as fine as the dust before the wind are those who hate us, for they are our enemies.

While Wooden images and incense altars shall not stand.” in Isaiah‬ 27:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ means that we should cast out pagan images and that we ourselves should not give place to falsehood. In other words, we should stand in the true image of son of God, and that we ourselves should give place to the truth.

Paraphrasing for clarity:

It is written in the prophets, ‘
And we shall all be taught by God.’
Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Jesus.
For we who are the children of the afflicted one,who is Christ, that we shall be taught by the Lord,
And great shall be our peace as children of the Lord, that have loved the law of the Lord, and nothing causes us to stumble.

For every man have been taught by the Lord, that we said that we know the Lord, for He will forgive our iniquity, and our sin He will remember no more.

For the Lord will forgive our iniquity, and our sin He will remember no more, that He takes away our sins, for this is His covenant with us.

Therefore by this the iniquity of us who are supplanted to Christ will be covered; and this is all the fruit of taking away our sins, that is,
all the fruit of the Spirit, that is, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, of taking away our sins, against such there is no law.

When we who are in union with Christ makes all the stones of the altar
Like chalkstones that are beaten to dust,
then we who are in union with Christ beats those hate us in Him, who are our enemies as fine as the dust before the wind;
We in Christ cast them out like dirt in the streets,
We in Christ cast the enemies.

When we who are in union with Christ makes wooden images and incense altars shall not stand,
then we in Christ casts out false images and that we in Christ destroy places that give in to falsehood, that we may stand in the true image of son of God, and that we ourselves give place to the truth, the truth of His love in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Therefore, this is what we have heard and learned from the Father, that we COME TO CHRIST.

To God the Father be all glory and thanksgiving through Christ.Amen.

I believe it becomes active when we apply faith, hope, &/or trust in Jesus Christ that He will do it. Sometimes He does it without us ever thinking about it but when it comes to putting Him on the shelf somewhere forgetting about Him while we pursue our lives, then it may become necessary to apply faith, hope, and or trust in Jesus Christ again so that we can become thankful for answers to prayers and even be thankful for things we did not ask for but He provided for our care.

It isn't necessary to understand Jesus' spirit words in the sixth chapter of John just
so long as folks not lose their confidence that the Lord knew what he was talking
about; for example:

John 6:66 . . From that time many of his disciples went back and walked with him
no more.

I should think that was a perfectly normal reaction to someone talking crazy like
Jesus was in verses 48 thru 58.

John 67-68 . .Then Jesus said to the twelve: Do you also want to go away? But
Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of
eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the
Son of the living God.

Peter and the others had a limited understanding of what Jesus was all about, but even
so, it was an understanding that they were confident in their own minds was spot-on. So
although their master's speech about eating his flesh and blood was totally baffling;
they didn't give up on him. It's sort of like the old saw: "Never let what you don't
know take away from you that which you do know"

Beloved one, we eat the flesh of the Son of Man, that we eat the bread of life by COMING TO HIM.
LOL No, we come to him because we are hungry for his righteousness.

When a person is hungry for food they go to the cook and aren't eating just because they are staring at the cook.
You eat what the cook made for you to eat.
You have to do the eating.
That means you have to do the obeying.

Again, we hear about the message that saves and the perfection and eternal life we can have through Jesus, we are hungry for that, and Jesus has food for us, BUT WE STILL HAVE TO EAT.

You don't eat just by saying yeah I'm hungry.

You don't eat just by saying yeah I believe you have food for me.

We eat by DOING what Jesus says to do, and that is how we take food in.

Jesus says to do what he says and that those are the only ones who will enter.

That which we do know is that by believing in Him is how & when we were first saved ever since.

When a person like David is imprisoned by the enemy of our soul and hungers and thirst for a righteousness not of their own. The Lord sends the gospel turning water to represent the Holy Spirit, it becomes as if it was blood. Literal lifeless Blood must be poured out show spirit life was given in jeopardy of the Holy Spirit.

It is shown in two companion parables. Search for the gospel hidden understanding

2 Samuel 23:16-18King James Version16 And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the Lord. And he said, Be it far from me, O Lord, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

Same kind of gospel given to John before he was beheaded and had doubt imprisoned by the enemy of our soul and hungers and thirsted for a righteousness not of his own .

Luke 7:20-23King James Version When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, he deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Beloved one, we heard:

“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and DRINK HIS BLOOD, ye have no life in you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:53‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Whoso eateth my flesh, and DRINKETH MY BLOOD, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:54‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“For my flesh is meat indeed, and MY BLOOD IS DRINK INDEED. He that eateth my flesh, and DRINKETH MY BLOOD, dwelleth in me, and I in him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:55-56‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Let us focus on how we may ‘DRINK HIS BLOOD’, that we heard.
How may we drink His blood, that we may have life in us and have eternal life, that we dwell in Jesus and we in Him?
Beloved one, we drink His blood so that we may not be thirsty.

For this we heard earlier Jesus said:

“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he THAT BELIEVETH ON ME shall never THIRST.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Also we heard Jesus said:

“Blessed are they which do hunger and THIRST AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS: for they shall be filled.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So we drink His blood, that we may never thirst, so we drink His blood, for we thirst after the righteousness of God, that we may be filled with His righteousness, that we BELIEVE ON Him, that we BELIEVE ON His righteousness—the righteousness of God.
How we may BELIEVE ON HIM, that we shall never thirst ?

This we heard:

“But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH ON HIM that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭4:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬
So to us that do not work ( the work of the flesh ) but believe on Jesus THAT JUSTIFIES THE UNGODLY, our faith is counted for righteousness.
How we may understand how Jesus justifies the ungodly?

This we heard:
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:6-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
So we who BELIEVE ON Him, we believe on Christ who died for us, who were ungodly, for when we were yet without strength.
We were without the strength of God, for we were ungodly.
So Christ died for us, that we may be strengthened with the strength of God to be godly, that our hearts perceive God’s love, that God commands His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD, we shall be saved from wrath through Christ.
So we who DRINK HIS BLOOD are we who BELIEVE ON His righteousness, that Christ who died for us, who were ungodly, for when we were yet without strength, that we may be strengthened with the strength of God to be godly, that our hearts perceive His love, that God commands His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justifies by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

To God the Father be all
glory and thanksgiving through Christ. Amen

The blood is not for a drink, we're not vampires. What we drink is the wine, that's the new covenant (Matt 26:28). Not only does blood drinking sound appalling to us, its the capital offense to Jewish people, for life is in the blood, and it's not just in the dietary laws of the Torah, it could be dated back to Noah (Gen. 9:4). Jesus as the incarnate of the Word of God would never literally promote that. The truth is revealed in John's vision, that the blood is for a WASH, it washes away our sins and whitens the robe of righteousness (Rev. 7:14).

That is just too confusing and I don't see it in the scriptures, it doesn't make sense.

What does this have to do with what you said at the beginning of the post? At the beginning of your post you said when a person like David is imprisoned...thirst for righteousness not of their own. I don't see that in the scriptures you gave that says that. Then you said the Lord sends the gospel turning water to represent the Holy Spirit and it becomes as blood. You are not making sense. You say Literal lifeless blood must be poured out show spirit life was given in jeopardy,...
Again, you can see how much I am trying to understand what you are saying and I don't I also don't see what you think it has to do with the fact that we are told to drink Jesus' blood and eat his flesh and how he will give us pure water to drink.
Same kind of gospel given to John before he was beheaded and had doubt imprisoned by the enemy of our soul and hungers and thirsted for a righteousness not of his own .

That is a great passage, but where does it say to mean John hungered and thirsted for righteousness that wasn't his own when he asked if Jesus is he that should come, and then Jesus proved it was he, by doing the miracles.

Beloved one, we heard:

How we may BELIEVE ON HIM, that we shall never thirst ?

This we heard:

“But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH ON HIM that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭4:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬
So to us that do not work ( the work of the flesh ) but believe on Jesus THAT JUSTIFIES THE UNGODLY, our faith is counted for righteousness.
How we may understand how Jesus justifies the ungodly?

We are justified by faith in Jesus' blood purifying us and no more the blood of animals.

This believing is as drinking his blood.

Much more then, being now justifies by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Now let's talk about eating Jesus' flesh.

It seems we agree that believing is how we drink his blood.

We are told to drink Jesus' blood and eat his flesh. Jesus is speaking about spiritual things.
No we don't!

Matt. 26:27-28 Then he took a CUP, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

1 Cor. 11:25 In the same manner He also took the CUP after supper, saying, “This CUP is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Lev. 17:11-12 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’ Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘No one among you shall eat blood, nor shall any stranger who dwells among you eat blood.

Now let's talk about eating Jesus' flesh.

It seems we agree that believing is how we drink his blood.
I don't. We give thanks to him for whatever we eat or drink, including but not limited to the wafer and juice, and sanctify the food and drink in his name. Please don't overly spiritualize and mystify it.

Also, may be this is too much of a stretch, but you see, this is also why we should eat and cook whole food from the earth provided by God for our sustenance instead of processed junk manufactured from a lab or a factory, for we give thanks to God, not Tyson or Kelloggs or Coca Cola.

Are you feeling okay?

What did you do with the scripture I gave you proving we have to?

Do you think you can run from the Truth?

John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
I've given you two more verses that go against it. Bible doesn't contradict itself.

A couple of things. The life of the flesh and blood (one thing) is not literal blood without the spirit essence of life

The literal blood of the sacrifices must be poured out to show that unseen spiritual life was given. God does not accept dead sacrifices or blemished .

Keeping with the law literal blod without the spirit must be poured a that base of altar . The blood of Jesus in keeping the law was poured out at the cross to show it returns to lifeless, dust.

Jesus working with the father gave his spirit life in jeopardy of the Holy Spirit, the Father of all spirit life that worked in Jesus as if Spirit was blood .
