Those aren't "Christians". Just b/c someone says "I am..." doesn't mean they are.
Look at Pedo Joe and Pelosi who claim to be yet are pro-unborn baby murder. No Christian can be.
Grace is NOT unmerited favor! Thats mercy...Grace and mercy are Not the same thing at all.All other schools of thought (religion) require you to do something (works) to achieve an after life belief. However, no one can speak of Christ without being " born again" John 3:7. It is Jesus that accomplishes the saving faith by Grace ( unmerited favor) and "not by works" Ephesians 2:8-9.
1 Corinthians 12:3 - Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
Simple, ask your profession to tell you about Jesus. It will not turn out well.
Mercy is not getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you do not deserveGrace is NOT unmerited favor! Thats mercy...Grace and mercy are Not the same thing at all.
God's Grace is given to you as a gift, you didn't deserve it as a sinner. Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,Grace is NOT unmerited favor! Thats mercy...Grace and mercy are Not the same thing at all.
' ... God our Saviour;In school we are studying different religions, polytheistic and monotheistic. To sum up what I learned was the people who are polytheistic believed in more than one God, and monotheistic people believed in just one God. most monotheistic people believe that Jesus or some other god is our savior depending on where you live, polytheistic people believe that there are multiple Gods and they have to follow those Gods rules. What i'm hearing from here is that other Gods and beliefs are a sin? I'm confused. Could someone clear that up for me? & thanks for your time
God's Grace is given to you as a gift, you didn't deserve it as a sinner. Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
'For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
.. against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
.... who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
...... Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them;
........ for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
.. being understood by the things that are made,
.... even His eternal power and Godhead;
...... so that they are without excuse:
........ Because that, when they knew God,
.......... they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful;
............ but became vain in their imaginations,
.............. and their foolish heart was darkened.
................ Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
.................. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man,
.................... and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts,
.. to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
.... Who changed the truth of God into a lie,
...... and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator,
........ Who is blessed for ever. Amen.'
(Rom 1:18-25)
Hello again @Aiden,
The wiccan religion is just another form of idolatry, isn't it?
God is a righteous judge, and is no respecter of persons, He will judge the secrets of men's hearts, and judge them accordingly. If they have never heard the gospel of God concerning His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, then they will be judged according to their works. (see Romans chapter 1 & 2): but if they have heard, and rejected the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord, then there is no hope of resurrection life.
Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris
Both definitions are the same Mercy.Mercy is not getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you do not deserve
And you recieved grace (Gods empowering PRESENCE) because of His mercy.God's Grace is given to you as a gift, you didn't deserve it as a sinner. Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
No! They the exact oppositeBoth definitions are the same Mercy.
Grace is the empowering PRESENCE of God, enabling you to do what God wants you to do.
It's past time that Christians get grounded in the Word...not doctrine of demons (teachings of demons). Until a Christian understands what Grace IS he will MISS most of what God has for him! Let the Holy Spirit teach you instead of a man teaching you!
