What if you die tonight?

All born again believes have a 'job' to do -- God , alone, decides when our time has come to enter eternity.
Well that is true. . But my death will not end the Job that He sets before me because Gods Word must be fulfilled

Now you're speaking in that 'mysterious' way again.
He is just not elaborating further, to try to stay to subject. We have jobs in heaven also, our work in the Lord wont end on this earth. As to God's word being fulfilled.... God told abraham certain things would happen in his life and the life of his ancestors all because of his faithfulness. That promise was made to abraham, but think not that, thats the only time God has ever made us promises, and those promises are also "God's Word", and those words might not be a generational thing, but God's Word is still God's Word, even if its only for us personally.

Brad says that so much better than i do.

The Lord has told me not to share some things here. You are a good example of that reason why.( Even though i love teasing you. )

Sue, i can see your faith within you, and it is a beautiful explession of love. But for me to become open to you would not be worth it. You will at this time , never accept what i would say.

This will remain a mystery to you until you recieve the snow i promised.

Your brother in Jesus. Bill

I am sorry ( not really ) that i am such a tease to Sue. But she needs it .

But she kicks against the prods, and you never keep prodding when it is against their will to hear and see the prods for the truth they might hold.

I am not innocent of going over the top, that is for certain.

Sorry Sue your little brother ( me ) is the worst of teasers.

You can kill me in heaven. Lol

I joined this site hoping someone would be able to answer a few of my questions. One being, based on where you were born, that is the religion you would believe in. So, if christianity is correct, why did we get the golden ticket of being born in the right area so then we get the prize of heaven?
Just being born around Christians is no Guarantee. I live in the UK and it is no longer a 'Christian 'country. Its Atheistic.

If you are thinking , only Christians go to heaven , it really depends what a person considers Christian .

Was the thief on the cross a Christian? Did he confess with his mouth " Jesus is my Lord and Savior " .

Yet Jesus tells him, today you will be with me in paradise. ( to the chagrin of those so much into the letter of the law, Jesus never states your name is written in heaven nor does Jesus say, today you will be with me in heaven )

Yes i am harassing the Christians on this website with the silly details of what Paradise is versus Heaven.

But what is a Christian. If it is only confessing with your lips, that Jesus is Lord. Then much of scripture is at a loss.

When Jesus tells us to keep Holy the Sabbath Day. Then His Disciples go and pick corn on that day. The Pharisees are appalled and complain to Jesus about it.

Jesus tells us the spirit of the Law is what is most important.

When Jesus tells us of the virtuous, they dont know who Jesus is, the dont recognize Him. But what Jesus says, when you did this for the least of these, you did it for me to.

You see , being a Christian is not only the person who confesses Jesus as Lord. But is one whose Heart is Circumcised. As the scripture states. A person like that may not be praised by men, but he will be praised by God

What verifiable evidence is there that any afterlife exists and that when we die we move on instead of staying dead, which I believe to be the most likely outcome?
I can testify from experience, there is a lot more to come after you depart your life on earth.

I have see Heaven a number of times and have met friends who have passed away

Yet Jesus tells him, today you will be with me in paradise.
Where exactly does Jesus say to the thief "you will be in heaven" ???
All Jesus said was that the thief would be in Eden (a promise of what is to come) > at the end of all things

Luke 23:43 and Jesus said to him, 'Verily I say to thee to-day with me thou shalt be in the paradise.' > a park, an enclosed garden > Eden

But what is a Christian.
A believer of all scripture not just some - repentance from dead works - full immersion water baptism for the remission of one's past sins - baptism of the Holy Spirit - walking in the Spirit - having evidence to such = testimony

LOL, you are talking about a christian who has all their ducks in a row, and evident to those around him/her. But that does not define a christian.

Then led by the Spirit of Christ I am happy to share how God gives instruction for a person to become a Christian ...

I would rather not make the attempt. That was the leading of the Holy Spirit, laughing and saying that.
I'll take that challenge.

Christian: a derogatory term, which means "little christ", which was used (and is used today) to describe followers of the Way, that is to say: the followers of Yeshua Messhiac.

Today, if someone says they are Christian, I guess you'll get all kinds of responses, some of which will likely leave you scatching your head. To me, that definition has not changed, just as HIS word has not changed since 30 A.D. or thereabouts.

"Follow me." HE said. "Repent and believe." HE said. "Go, ... teach all ethnicities what I have commanded you." HE said. "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." HE said. "Ye are witnesses." HE said. "You must be born again." HE said.
