What is the mind of Christ and how do we attain it?

There is no believing or unbelieving, no neutral or middle ground. Every person ever born has either been faithing towards God or faithing away from God.
[/QUOT

every person born is away from God, NO ONE COMES TO GOD EXCEPT THROUGH CHRIST !! you are spewing a false gospel. Christ is the gospel. Jesus is the only way to the father.
Not only that God is the one that draws us in.

Faither -- it's your terminology of "faithing towards God or faithing away from God" that is causing a 'problem' -- you are Bound And Determined that 'everyone' has been believing a mistranslation of a Greek word into English. and based on practically Nothing. Except your 33 yrs or so of studying. And Your 'correct' translation doesn't really agree with the rest Of Scripture in that particular area.

Basically I agree with you -- everyone Is born away from God. and everyone Does come to God through Jesus Christ -- He Is the only way. And That Is the Gospel -- that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures -- and as verse 2 says -- by which you are saved.

And the Holy Spirit draws a person -- His convicting power.

The Gospel Of Jesus Christ unto salvation.

A False Gospel would be stating that a person comes to God through some other means rather than through the blood of Jesus Christ. Adding Works to the equation. that something Plus the blood of Christ is needed.

Surrendering a person's life to Christ is a natural part of salvation. We are going to Want to please God -- it's part of the desire that the Holy Spirit puts in the believer / the person who gets 'saved'.

I've already pressed you further than I'm comfortable. It's up to you now.

The God of the Bible is not a vending machine where you put in the money and out comes the blessing.

Expectations of anything in return for a surrendered life is not a surrendered life, that's a business deal!

The Lord God is an everlasting living "vending machine" that provides for his sons what things soever they need or desire if we ask according to his will that comes from his Word!!!!

Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Luk 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Luk 11:10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Joh 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Joh 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
Joh 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

I think if I told my earthly father (who is generous, wise and kind) that I thought of him as a vending machine, he'd be horrified beyond words.

If you had only one thing to ask your everlasting vending machine, what would it be?
Luk 11:13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Those were not my words, but you should get the idea. God does not have wings either like a bird or hen, but scripture describes God as having wings. The Heavenly Father gives all good things to those who ask him for them.

Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

Luk 11:13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Something for yourself? That's the difference!

The Holy Spirit is NOT just for one's own benefit, it so that person can minister to others!

Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Not without pisteuo, " a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender".1

@Faither -- if there was one thing I'd ask of my heavenly Father -- it might be that He would see fit to open the spiritual eyes of people who are important to me. And that they and myself would continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Faither -- a personal surrender to God is definitely part of the Christian life -- that would be a given -- the Holy Spirit's leading in the individual's life. It all goes together.

Pisteuo is an act, based upon a Belief, Sustained by confidence.

Can you give me three examples of pisteuo that you have fulfilled in your every day Life?

Well -- today I went to the CBS core group --- Bible study -- we're going through the books of 1 and 11 Timothy and then Titus. We read the various questions presented and respond with our answers.

When I'm out shopping I endeavor to have a pleasantness about me.

The Christian life is an ongoing -- day by day -- living a Christian life.

There have been and continue to Be some important decisions to be made and acted on.

But all of this is being done NOT to Prove anything To God. God does know My heart and the heart of every single person. It's more important as to what people observe about My life. How do other people see me living my life.

In your reply, I can guess and show where you have fulfilled many acts of Faith, pisteuo. But you haven't given an example of one yet.

Try again if you want, I'll give extensive examples in the morning.

Then --- apparently I don't have a clue as to what you're Really talking about.

A few will be fine -- the 'extensive' isn't really needed.

Tomorrow the vote is taken for possible impeachment -- I think it's horrible -- I might stay home to watch that or go out.

That's the point! Because of the mistranslation, nobody has a clue what a complete act of Faith is.

We fulfill them hundreds of times every day. We were created to be faithers.

If you don't want my explanation and would rather give audience to political theater, your choice.
