I'm confident I could convert you to really fresh crab or lobster. Very tender and delicately flavoured.

Conversion not necessary here brother!!!!!!!!!!!
Lobster! I particularly like it with some garlic butter! Grilled or steamed will do
Crab....as long as it's King Crab or Snow Crab.....to much work and little return for the littler ones Only in my younger days.

When I was stationed in the UK, I never saw it advertised, but then I was very low budget with a growing family at the time!
Kind of like when I was barbequing some pork ribs in the backyard and the neighborhood kids were attracted by the aroma! I let them know they needed their parents permission if they wanted some and I would gladly share. Sadly, they never came back and missed out on a tremendous experience! I make my own sauce to baste them with!

LOL. No dear lady. They are as wild as they come. Elk and moose too. That means we only get the meat when we get the shot. We do have a good supply of beef pork and chicken though and you did ask what was the favorite

I am told there is a lot that tastes a lot like chicken. Personally, I have had the following that tastes similar to chicken... squirrel, snake, and frog legs.

Hmmm Bear tastes like bear. It has a pork like texture and a wild taste..Usually the meat is sweet but on occasion it can have a strong but not unpleasant taste depending on what they were eating. Kangaroo steaks sound interesting...And Australia has camels too...I wonder if its legal to take them for meat...I know that some folks will butcher them if they get hit by a truck.

Kangaroo steak is dark. My daughter says it tastes pleasant like beef steak.
I have never eaten it.

Emu burger tastes like sausage apparently....

Camel meat is served in some of the more expensive resturants and can be purchased.
It is apparently high in protein and low in fat.
And no I have never eaten it.

Its been quite some time since I had it, as a child to be more specific. My brother and my stepfather both liked to hunt, not me, my brother took me hunting once as a child. I shot at a squirrel and missed, my brother later on shot and hit 2. Shooting them from a distance didnt bother me, but when my brother (after hitting one) picked up the one he got, he twisted its head off and threw it into a bag, that bothered me, and I havent hunted since. I do like to fish though, not sure why that doesnt bother me, but it hasnt. At one time when I was younger, I used to think myself more humane and less bloodthirsty than ppl who were hunters. But that was just ego, because I loved meat, and all meat is harvested from animals, plus Abel was blessed and loved by God and he raised and killed animals regularly, the one who was more like me was Cain, I have always loved to grow things that make edibles or good for herbal healing. I have killed other animals at time, but that was always in special situations, like a coon that was killing our chickens, and a rooster that was mean and it started pecking at and nearly killing a baby chicken. I like animals.

I think one would have to cook the kangaroo steaks quite well or tack it to the plate so it wouldn't jump off. Do I understand it rightly, FG, that you are not a very adveturous

Have you ever tried porcupine? I mentioned how bear is a fatty meat, well you stew the porky then let the broth cool. You'll wind up with about two inches of tallow the meat is very tender and tasty. Your old granny could eat it even if she forgets her dentures

If my granny could eat it, that would be surprising, as she has passed some time ago.

Never had porcupine, but I have no doubt that cooked a certain way, it would probably be good.
