What kind of religion Islam is?

I believe that their religion is based off lies, discrimination, and fear.
As for the actual people who believe in Islam, most are gentle souls who are peaceful, and actually hate the radical Islamic group's actions and thoughts. Some might have killed in the name of Islam, and shame other Muslims. But overall, these are a lost people who need to see the truth of God's Word, the Bible.

Doing some research on Islam was interesting and sad at the same time. Their belief system revolves around the teachings of Muhammad the Prophet. Why they focus on him and not on Christ. I dont know. Muhammad never did any of the things Christ did. and to be honest Muhammad turned out to be an evil man getting very involved in politics ect. Islam participants are taught good morals, as praying, and treating others with respect ect. But we all know we cant get into heaven any other way than of Christ. They are just confused individuals. I agree with dannibear, they need to hear the truth.
Let's see Allah like is when his followers to blow themselves up.
The Judeo-Christian God sent his own Son to die for mankin's salvation.
Allah sends his followers out to Kill Jews and Infidels especially when they resist conversion.
The Judeo-Christian God sends out His gospel message of salvation and invites people to receive His gift and tells his followers to show their enemies love.

1) Jesus is mentioned more times in the Quran than Muhammad is.
2) Jesus is on the same level of respect and reverence as Muhammad.
3) Our God is the same as the Judeo-Christian God. "Allah" is literally arabic for "God".
4) The Quran has never, ever supported the killing of non-combatants (women, children, elderly, unarmed men)

islam does not count JESUs as high as mohammad! mohammed was a very evil man! He killed all who would not bow to him. He took a child of about 6 years old raped the kid at 9 years old ! He said , He said with His own mouth he had spoken to a demon and was going to hell! Of course All who follow Him will also go to Hell!

He does not help those who are led astray by him (Surah 30:29) and desires to use them to populate hell (Surah 32:13).Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews

I agree with you. Islam is a political-religion, that is why Islam has so much political turmoil within countries that are controlled by Islam. Mohummad had a war with his own brother, i think all can see the fruit of this tree.

You and I, Christians and Muslims and Jews. We are all allies, all brothers. It is not religion that causes hate and misunderstanding. It's human nature. Islam is almost exactly the same as Christianity, albeit with a few minor changes. Jesus IS held just as high as Muhammed, if not more than him. We are not here to harm or destroy. We are here to live our lives as peacefully as possible. Just as you would like to do.
I would not really say they are minor changes,
but changes at that. A main difference is that
Christians think that Jesus was God, whereas Islam
thinks Jesus was just another prophet.
If Jesus weren't God like He claimed to be, then
our sins aren't covered, since Jesus came to die for them.
Jesus was who He said He was, and because of that,
we are all free to accept the forgiveness of Christ.

What you're asking people to do is, accept each other just with our sins, accept all sin and say that everyone is going to heaven and there is no need for Christ.
You need to get your facts straight my friend, Allah and God aren't the same, Allah is a pagan god of one of the MANY gods of Arabs that refers to the moon that's why muslims rely on the moon to do anything and that's why a crescent is their symbol.
You say the Quran doesn't encourage killing others? Do you wanna bet on it cause I can prove you wrong right now and quote 20 verses from the quran about it, and no one will believe whatever you write here again.
When you write thing, for goodness sake, at least read about it before you write wrong facts and mislead others. Thank you.

Sorry...well, I know that I am still young and inexperienced but I think it is quite wrong to talk about other religions and telling them that what they are doing and thinking is wrong..I think we must let God settle about these, because they still do not know the Gospel, that's the reason why they are not doing thinks like us Christians..
Let's pray for them though, and I know with all our prayers and faith, sooner or later they will also be believers of Christ..

There is No relationship with a muslim and a Christian! the christian will Love the Muslim but hate the god they serve! the muslim might be nice to the christian , but go along with killing them ,in most cases!

We see not all muslims kill and put bombs on there kids to kill other muslim kids or cut parts off people bodies or kill daily on the earth! Few muslims step out and call these things evil and vile! Many give money to these unholy beings who are used by satan to do such acts ! No christian does these unholy things! islam is bondage 100% ! Jesus Our CREATOR came here to Free mankind ! as a person lived in UAE and Syria now..i was attracted by your opinions. and this whole thread.
Islam is different...i am not sure if you know this but Islam is forked into many small groups..each of its own beliefs, yet all are called Muslims.
as to the politic kind of people..they might encourage terrorism and the act of killing if you have sinned. even hatred for not being alike. they, if having a chance, would rule their country's according to what they think is right.. in some regions, it is prohibited for christians or any other religions to get in for they are impure.
some others who live in different areas are not Muslims but they are referred to as Islams. they might have some things in common but it's just as we have some things in common with the Islam.
i can never assume whether they are terrorists or not..because many..and when i say many i mean it..many of them are so kindhearted, well mannered and lovers.

How many people here have read the entire bible?
How many people here have read the entire quran?
How many people here have done a vast amount of research on both?
I bet not many of you at all can say you have done the second two things. How many Muslims do each of you know on a first name basis? Have you ever had a detailed conversation with a Muslim about Islam? If you can answer these with a yes, then that's good. I highly doubt the ones answering yes are the one persecuting Muslims for their beliefs.
Wanna quote some scriptures in the quran about people being killed and killinng being encouraged? People can point out various things in the old testament where people were being killed and punished for things that a lot of people find "silly" now. Wanna say Islam is a government religion and is used for control? Lets take a look at the roman catholic church currently and back in the old days. See where I am getting at? I am not dogging Christianity, I understand that the things in the old testament had to be done to save this entire world. I understand that, and I am at peace with it. It happened for a reason.
It's not your job to judge anyone. It's not your job to persecute people. Your only job is to Believe, Love, and Display your faith. Show your faith with your actions, not your judgemental opinions and persecuting thoughts.
Stop trying to speak for and judge every Muslim on this earth. It's a part of the problem, not the solution.

When the angel came to Muhammad, he did not know if it was a demon or an angel. In the bible when a angel came to the prophet you would know that he is a messenger from God. When messenger from God comes to the prophet one will know that this is an angel. They said Jesus is a prophet, prophet does not lie so he must be son of God.

In my generation, everyone knows the destruction
