SignUp Now!Double Amen !!That is what is so important about understanding Bible Prophecy.
If you know that your time on earth is getting short and salvation for the lost has an expiration date, then it behooves us who are already believers to work extra hard to save who we can.
Hello there, @DieAmartyr and co.,'But ye are come unto mount Sion,
and unto the city of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem,
and to an innumerable company of angels,
To the general assembly and church of the firstborn,
which are written in heaven,
and to God the Judge of all,
and to the spirits of just men made perfect,'
(Heb 12:22)
Hello there, @Hitch,
This church is the church of the firstborn, a special company. Here in Hebrews 12 we are given a glimpse into the future, when this church of the firstborn shall be complete and enter into its inheritance and become the Bride, the Lamb's wife. Abraham 'looked' for it, Moses will also receive that reward unto which he had 'respect' (Hebrews 11:26): all who believed, yet died, not having received the promise, will enter into their birthright. 'God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a city' (Hebrews 11:16).

There is one church ,one body , one sacrifice, one blood, one bride, one city, one covenant, one God one Holy Spirt and one Christ.Hello there, @DieAmartyr and co.,
The subject heading of the thread, asks the question: ' Where are WE in the book of Revelation?' What needs to be established is who the word, 'we', refers to in the mind of the one asking the question. Is it the human race? or the company of believers alive today? If the latter, what, again, in the mind of the one asking the question, is the church that company comprises?
The Church of the Firstborn in the response quoted above is that company referred to as, 'The Bride'.
I believe that I am a member of the Church which is His (Christ's) body, referred to in Ephesians 1:22-23: which is not the subject of the book of Revelation; just as it is not the subject of the Old Testament prophets; whereas, the company known as, 'The Bride,' is the subject of both the Old Testament Prophets and the book of Revelation.
Thank you

Absolutely! There is one church ,one body , one sacrifice, one blood, one bride, one city, one covenant, one God one Holy Spirt and one Christ.
This doesnt make sense . And is directly contrary to what I posted above. copied below:'Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit
in the bond of peace. There is -
.. one body, and
.... one Spirit, even as ye are called in
...... one hope of your calling;
........ One Lord,
.......... one faith,
............. one baptism,
.............. One God and Father of all,
Who is above all,
.. and through all,
.... and in you all.
But unto every one of us is given grace
according to the measure of the gift of Christ.'
(Eph 4:3-7)
Hello @Hitch,
I am glad that you see the distinction between, 'The Church which is the Body of Christ', and, 'The Bride'.

One of the primary teachings of the NT is the unity of believers of all time and races.
Since I believe you are basically honest I'll give you the benefit of the doubt , perhaps you misread ?
Can you see it now ?Hello @Hitch,
I see no contradiction.
There is:-
- One Church which is the body of Christ, of which He is the Head,
- one sacrifice for sin,
- one blood of the new covenant.
- One Bride
- One city, the New Jerusalem, which is itself referred to as the Bride.
- One new covenant, which will be made with Israel, as the old covenant had been
- One God
- One Holy Spirit
- One Lord Jesus Christ, now risen and glorified and sat at God's right hand.
Thank you

This is where i confused because I do NOT see this distinctionHello @Hitch,
In reply#68 I made it clear that I was in agreement with these points you have made.
Thank you

Hello @Hitch,This is where i confused because I do NOT see this distinction
I am glad that you see the distinction between, 'The Church which is the Body of Christ', and, 'The Bride'.
"War bombs"?? Where and by whom?many churches are being destroyed by war bombs !!
Thank you for telling me that you do not see the distinction between, 'The Church which is the Body of Christ' and 'The Bride'. You obviously believe that they are one and the same, whereas I believe that they are two separate distinct companies, within the purpose of God.
And how is the 'Bride' redeemed ?Hello @Hitch,
Thank you for telling me that you do not see the distinction between, 'The Church which is the Body of Christ' and 'The Bride'. You obviously believe that they are one and the same, whereas I believe that they are two separate distinct companies, within the purpose of God.

Yup. Just as we are not really sheep, or vines, or building stones, and on and on.Eph 5:23; For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.
Eph 5:24; But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.
Eph 5:25; Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,
Eph 5:26; so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
Eph 5:27; that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.
Eph 5:29; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
Eph 5:30; because we are members of His body.
Eph 5:32; This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.
Rev 19:7; "Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready."
Rev 19:8; It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Rev 19:9; Then he *said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he *said to me, "These are true words of God."
Rev 21:9; Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."
Rev 21:10; And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
Looking at this from a loss of human life one could agree but what i see happening in 70 AD was not just the destruction of the temple but the destruction, end of the temple way of life. The removal of the presence of God .Some people believe a lot of this happened in 70ad, with the destruction of Jerusalem. However there have been much worse tribulations since 70ad ( the Holocaust of WWII for example )
The Population of Jerusalem in the first century, was approx 600,000 ( depending on your source ) Demographic history of Jerusalem - Wikipedia
No one knows for sure how many Jews were killed, estimates range from as few as a 20,000 to nearly 100,000. But for sake of argument, let us say all the Jews were killed, all 600,000.
That is nothng compared to the 7million killed in WWII. Finally it mentions Jesus returning here, like lightning... it hasn't happened yet. Jesus hasn't returned yet.
That can happen when the Apocalypse is viewed from a covenantal standpoint rather than headlines in advance.Looking at this from a loss of human life one could agree but what i see happening in 70 AD was not just the destruction of the temple but the destruction, end of the temple way of life. The removal of the presence of God .
