Their Agenda
So that is your "Justification" in proving me wrong. That GOD or JESUS The Anointed One "The WORD of GOD" never mention or called HIS followers or HIS people "the church" or "christians".Glad to see you covered this, and with a verse, even, that has both church and Christian in it. (A twofer !!)
I had thought about it, but then decided to make that point later.
Interesting, though, that "Christian" was intended to be derisive.
The word is used three times in the New Testament, and each time as a term of reproach or derision. Here in Antioch, the name Christianos was coined to distinguish the worshipers of the Christ from the Kaisarianos, the worshipers of Caesar. The city of Antioch in Syria had a reputation for coining nicknames. - Wuest, Kenneth Samuel (1973) pg. 19. Wuest's word studies from the Greek New Testament
As a bonus, Christians were called Atheists because they did not believe in the gods.
I will admit, though, that I'm puzzled about where PloughBoy is going with this.
Possibly intrigued.

BTW - the Greek word is Χριστιανός, which is transliterated as Christianos ( Latin - Christiani ). In case you receive objections to that.
Webster 1828who's agenda?
Rhema said:So you think "church" is added to this verse?
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.(Matthew 16:18 KJV)
What of this verse?
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.(Matthew 18:17 KJV)
And this one?
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.(Acts 2:47 KJV)
Was it "added" here too?
And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.(Acts 5:11 KJV)
Here?
This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:(Acts 7:38 KJV)
And what of the other ONE HUNDRED AND TEN times where the word "church" is found ?? Are all of these "added" too ?? Or is that what the Greek word ἐκκλησία actually means? If not, then pray, do tell... what does the word ἐκκλησία actually mean?
Which "WORD of GOD" ?? When you say, "The WORD of GOD," which Word are you speaking of? (You would understand the question if you read Greek.) And there are some of us who actually read this "Original Copied Manuscript" you know...
Rhema
Well ain't that the ever luvin' truth.
who's agenda?
Webster 1828
AGEND'A, noun [Latin things to be done.]
A memorandum-book; the service or office of a church; a ritual or liturgy.
English Standard Version
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

Three passages with the word "Christian" are
1 Peter 4:16
Acts 26:28
Acts 11:26
I'm not sure that the word was intended to be derogatory, but certainly it was the word that people outside the church gave to the believers. I think the insiders' name was "followers of the way". In any case, in nearly 2000 years, the word "Christian" has lost any negative shade - it just means someone who follows Christ.
On the word "church" in the Bible. The Greek word is "ekklesia" and it's better translated "congregation" or "assembly". "Church" has its roots in the germanic word "Kirke".
the Darby translation has Matthew 16:18
"I also, I say unto thee that thou art Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and hades' gates shall not prevail against it."
Anyway, I happily describe myself a as Christian who belongs to a church. If I need to be theologically precise, I'll use "congregation" instead, but not often.
PloughBoy, you stepped in it. Own it. (Or do you believe yourself to be unable to make mistakes?)So that is your "Justification" in proving me wrong.
I'm a bit surprised that you would imply that Jesus never said these words: "εαν δε παρακουση αυτων ειπε τη εκκλησια εαν δε και της εκκλησιας παρακουση εστω σοι ωσπερ ο εθνικος και ο τελωνης" (or their Aramaic equivalent). That GOD or JESUS The Anointed One "The WORD of GOD" never mention or called HIS followers or HIS people "the church" or "christians".
I think the following quote here is very deceptive:and one of his greatest weapons, is called "DECEPTION"
... because there wasn't a word added to the translation. That's how the word WAS translated: εκκλησια - church.Thats is a a added word to a translation!
... because your assertion is flat out wrong. These words ARE mentioned, even if they are from an English translation. Now if you think it's better to use the word Ekklesia (where the Greek word is left untranslated in an English translation, like the word Christ) then by all means say that. But you didn't. Obviously you have a gripe with what is called the "church" today, and in all honesty, that's your problem. But it's a bit ridiculous to say that these two words are not in the Bible; and this world sure doesn't need more ridiculousness.2. And GOD the Father or His SON or APOSTLE PAUl or the very "WORD of GOD" has never mention the word church or christianity.
As of this point ....And what of the other ONE HUNDRED AND TEN times where the word "church" is found ?? Are all of these "added" too ?? Or is (church) what the Greek word ἐκκλησία actually means? If not, then pray, do tell... what does the word ἐκκλησία actually mean?
Sorry to "banter" but the possessive of who is whose... so I think you meant to write "Whose agenda?"so, who's agenda ?
I see.But that Day When in The Twinkling of the eye "The SPIRIT of THE LIVING GOD" Touch My Soul! Wooooooo!
Sorry to "banter" but the possessive of who is whose... so I think you meant to write "Whose agenda?"
You had twice written the contraction "who's" which would mean "who is agenda?".
Perhaps that's the disconnect.
Kindly,
Rhema

So you have come to your conclusion of the matter base on a modern day Lexicon pertaining to a "Manuscript" that was written over 1900 plus years ago before "lexicons" or any kind of Dictionary ever existed. And here comes a " Pagan King & A POPE" who rules The WORLD, and at their command, be the powers that be, Will take your "HEAD OFF" be you man, woman, or ChildPloughBoy, you stepped in it. Own it. .... still waiting...
PloughBoy, what does the word ἐκκλησία actually mean if not "church" ??

On that day! I became a "CHILD of THE LIVING GOD" "BORN of GOD" "BORN of HEAVEN" "BORN of HIS SPIRIT" "SANCTIFIED" "A JOINT HEIR WITH JESUS , THE ANOINTED ONE of GOD the FATHER" and HE Let ME KNOW it And HE called me By My NAME! And I heard HIM! And saw The BLOOD run DOWN HIS FACE. and the Sadness in HIS EYES! And He set my SOUL on FIRE!,,,,And it does not matter who believes, The Vision I saw! But i am going to Tell it! Where every i go! And many wondered, why I am a FOOL for JESUS! I am a Fool for HIM! and you tell by The "FRIUT I BEAR"I see.
That's when you became part of the church, PloughBoy.

The word that is in The Original Copied Manuscript is "The Congregation" of GOD's people or the meaning "The Assembly" of GOD's People.PloughBoy, you stepped in it. Own it. (Or do you believe yourself to be unable to make mistakes?)

Sorry PloughBoy.So you have come to your conclusion of the matter base on a modern day Lexicon pertaining to a "Manuscript" that was written over 1900 plus years ago before "lexicons" or any kind of Dictionary ever existed.
Like you are the person who's supposed to determine what the words in the Bible mean and which English words should be used? I even asked, and you can't tell me what εκκλησια means. (Still waiting.)... We determine what is written and added to definitions in "LEXICONS" concerning the "BIBLICAL Text"
IT... what? You wrote IT must be revealed. WHAT ?? What is the "it" ??It must be Reveled, Through The SON of The LIVING GOD by The WILL of "The EVERLASTING FATHER"
If you TRULY believed that you would shut up and stop posting. But you DON'T believe that. That's why you post. For i am not anyones teacher neither can i be, or teach anyone anything.
And who told you the nonsense that the Vulgate is "Corrupted" ?? More direct revelation from Jesus ?? (Hardly. And I don't think you l can read Latin either.)PS... Please do not mention the Corrupted "Vulgate"
At least I can read the Book for myself. YOU CAN'T. (You need translations. The translations that you've wrongly criticized and the translators you have dissed.)Read the BOOK for yourself!
