Do consider that you may be the one. See here in regards to this other poster. His avid quoting of Scriptures only shows how indoctrinated he is in the doctrines of men.
So can I for why I say you are applying scriptures wrong. The scriptures that say God is the Savior---they are about God THE FATHER.
Since the scriptures say Jesus is the Savior, then Jesus is God THE FATHER Whom will be appearing soon as the Bridgroom.
Who is our Husband?
Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker is your husband-- the LORD Almighty is his name-- the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.
Did you read and see that?
God the Father is our Maker, our husband, He is the LORD Almighty, the Holy One of Israel, our Redeemer. He is God.
I can give you scriptures for everything I just said.
John 3:28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Jesus is specified as the Bridegroom thus the husband and the Lord God Almighty.
Jesus said that no man had seen the Father at any time.
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
John 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
So did Jesus lied about the God men had seen in the O.T. if you believe the Father is the One that has been appearing to men in the O.T.?
Or did not Jesus say that Moses was writing about Him, the Word of God as seen by men in the O.T.?
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.... 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
And what words should we believe that it was the Son men had seen in the O.T. and not the Father besides John 5:37? Jesus specified that Abraham had seen him and made no reference to Abraham as seeing the Father.
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. 59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Now if it was solely the Father men had seen in the O.T., then did Jesus lied in John 5:37 & in John 5:39-40 & John 5:46-47 & John 8:56-59?
No, because that was not the Father they had seen in the O.T. but the Son of God before His incarnation.
