Faith or works or both?

thanks brother Brad,,,,,yes when I say pray I mean on our knees or better on our face.. For me I am on my knees or face 3 times a day but for only 20 minutes or so total. BUt like you I speak and seek Christ all day long for the most part, he is on my mind.

A person prayer life is critical in getting close to God is my belief,, and that is why I asked,,, please pray for me to become a prayer warrior brother.

Well it was good for Daniel, so hang in there brother, nothing wrong with spending time on your knees or face if its praying to God. I assume you are humbling yourself before the Lord, and thats great if you feel pride is in your heart. It would be an outward sign that you admit God knows better than you, which is true of us all. God is really like the good father I never had growing up. I spent that time on my knees praying that God would be the good father to me that I never knew and needed. He answered me and told me that He would be my Father, and I would be His son. Not like Jesus with his amazing faith and diety, but a beloved son non the less. Do you have a good father here on earth that you love dearly? If so, you are blessed, and you know sort of the relationship I have with God. If you dont have a good earthly father, perhaps you should do the same that I did. He would love to be your father.

You ever been in a "church" building with service in progress and seen a spirit move between congregation members causing them to cough so that they really
don't have opportunity to hear whats being said? Saw it once in a Church of Christ group, and as it moved from person to person you could read the lips of
those affected saying "I just can't stop from coughing, no idea why" it was interesting but I received nothing as to do anything about it so I just watched. This went on
for a good 20 minutes and jumped to around 10-12 people before stopping. Even asked one that was affected by it during the service and he didn't know what I was
talking about. Didn't remember coughing.

Not that specifically, but I can imagine that evil spirits could mess with peoples minds so that a good message will not affect them much.

I was sent to observe for the day by the Lord. That was at least 15 yrs ago and I no longer live within 100 miles of the town. It was a normal Church of Christ
denomination I guess as I don't really know what normal for denominations are.

There was no thought on my part as I wanted nothing to do with the group and really didn't want to go. Even went to my normal place, but they had called off service
so I knew he wasn't kidding about going there.
Has the Lord never sent you anywhere or told you to do something?

The Holy Spirit Has told me to Not do a few things that I was contemplating and He has Also given me a feeling of urgency To share various things at various times.

Apparently there was demonic activity in that particular church that wasn't supposed to be allowed To happen - - you were being told to Not mess around with it.

So often people Do like to dabble in dangerous territory -- just 'because' -- and then they get 'burned' and pay with some very negative consequences. And THEN want help getting back Out. A lesson -- Do Not mess around in the 1st place.

Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. We are to cast out the unclean at the Lords direction so why would I be scared? Perfect love hath no fear.
Like the unclean said to the Jews Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you? It would seem in the spiritual hierarchy the unclean obey those that are born
again, but there is no control over them by those that are not.

Many hours . I dont keep track of them. God, the Father, Jesus is ever on my mind.

Even when i buy gas , or a cup of coffee. Im always praying

You might think this is kinda funny . Because i never remember the conversations. Often when i sleep at night my wife has heard me having a conversation with Jesus. Sometimes she tells me about it. But she hears both Jesus and myself.

Not everyone is called to be involved with the darkness .

Do you remember the words of Paul . 1 Corinthians 12 : 4 - 11 one a gift of preaching , another a gift of healing and so on.

There are many with multible Gifts etc etc . But no one is greater than the other . Even the one who is only called to pray . Such a beautiful Gift . And in many ways , one of the most important. Yet who looks at " just " prayer as being a Gift unto itself .

Sue and i dont get along well here, but this is a chat forum . And we hash out our thoughts . Do i think of Sue any less as a person . Absolutely Not . And i look forward to seeing my sister with Jesus in Heaven . ( im guessing she will want to wash my face with snow )

Its important to note that it states " during the last times " . Not talking middle ages, not talking early years. Scripture is talking of the times we are now in.

Do you understand what a prophet is? Its not someone who predicts the future, although that can happen. Its simply someone whom God uses to give a message to another person or a group of persons. If God uses you even once this way, then you are probably a prophet in God's eyes.

Sure, I understand this. I was just wondering if God has given Brother Bill any instructions on what to do or does He interact with us all on his will to please God by acting as a prophet..
I.e., He once told me He was a bookend of God....did God say this to him, or was he just trying to tell us the kind of Christian he was?

I was wondering more in the line of dedicated prayer on your knees, I would think that is how much of the spiritual warfare you talk about is done,,,

either way its always goood to be conversing with God all day about everything that is for sure
