Faith or works or both?

@Samson2020 -- what kind of church were you In , anyway. I wouldn't go near them again. Sounds weird
I too have seen in a church or the darkness will try to distract people as there are praying. As I've said before the darkness it's only trying to get you away from being with God for even one second so if they're capable of doing that they're also capable of doing a lot of other things for distractions in church you might not see the darkness but it's there

I was wondering more in the line of dedicated prayer on your knees, I would think that is how much of the spiritual warfare you talk about is done,,,

either way its always goood to be conversing with God all day about everything that is for sure
I am away from home a lot with my truck driving. And while driving truck I pray a lot before going to sleep at night I would say three four and even more hours in prayer and sometimes around 3 in the morning Lord wakes me up and asked me to pray still more

I'm sure you know what a Phrophet is...I would guess that all who are believers are and wish to spread the Word are Prophets. So, in that sense , I am sure you consider yourself a living Prophet. Has God personally ordained this in some way?

Everyone has thier views . But i was interested in yours , what do you think a prophet is? What do you think a prophet does ? What do you think a prophet looks like ?

If you are certain i am a prophet , why keep asking the same question over and over.

Its like asking if the sky is blue

No . Lol he is being a pest .

But if you think of it, we all came down from Heaven . I was created by God , who is in Heaven . Therefore i came down from Heaven. And im returning .

Greetings Bill

Adam and Eve were made by God from the dust of the earth not the dust in heaven (there isn't any lol) we can all be silly.

Every child born of woman is from God's creation, which is from the dust of the earth.

And to the dust the flesh will return

With all due respect because you appear to be condescending and will not answer, just smart-allic comments ,very non-Christian like.

To be honest you're not giving any respect whatsoever. You don't read what is written for you and you keep posting the same question over and over again. But because I am a Christian the answer that you seek I already told you try looking at post 257 + 258

You on the other hand avoid answering questions like the plague. As I have answered your question so long ago now I ask you to answer my question what is a prophet to you?

Without the spirit the body is dead. Ecc 12:7 " And the dust returns to the ground it came from, and THE SPIRIT RETURNS TO GOD who gave it.
It would appear that Bill is right, that we all have come out from God in that the spirit that makes the body alive came from the Father as this
verse plainly states the SPIRIT RETURNS to God who gave it.
I've been saying this forever but somehow no body listens. You agree that Jesus came from the Father but no body else. Not my position. We all came out from
the Father. Without a spirit in the body there is no you to begin with. There is only a dead body. You look in the mirror and say thats me, its the body you live in
for now but once it dies and the spirit of you returns to the Father what does it look like? Your dead body. I think not because it is a spirit.

Could you explain to everyone here what your view is for a Prophet of God please.

Any one who has ever had God send them to deliver a message. They know who they are. But this does not mean that it happens all the time, it may only be
once or twice maybe 5 times. Most minor prophets delivered the LORDs word one time to a certain group of people and thats it as far as we know.

You on the other hand avoid answering questions like the plague. As I have answered your question so long ago now I ask you to answer my question what is a prophet to you?
I have said this before, many of us may be regarded as Phrophets simply because we are lead to talk about the word and our belief in the Gospel . You obviously take on these qualities but, take it a step further by the need to " mentor" us, thus portraying yourself as a "Leader" who's responsibility is to guide us . We are all in this together, Brothers and Sisters in Christ none any greater than the other, all make up the body of Christ... I don't think this means one is the head and the other a foot! Enough said, personally , though a Christian is lead to preach the gospel , I do not regard this as being a Prophet, just simply a Christian. FOR me, a phrophet has a personal relationship with a Devine being and is in contact with that being to support their message.

You are correct on many levels .

We are one body in Christ .

But it is also important to be true to the Scriptures. By being true , i mean keeping the path straight .

As an example , recently the issue of " does God create us " has come up . To me its a plain and simple resonding " Yes " . But as you can see , others were doubtful .

Samson was the one who posted the Scripture on it.

The question of " faith alone " came up in another thread . That is faith alone to get into Heaven . Absolutely Not ! Jesus states , no one can go to the Father , but through me. Simply, Faith and Jesus .
Faith brings us to Jesus , but you have to accept Jesus.

All of Scripture has to agree with itself .

So if i seem to be mentoring , i suppose you could call it that . Just helping .

As for responcibility . All of us have that . And im not trying to dodge the question. Scripture states " where much is given, much is expected "

The Lord expects me to do the work that has been set out before me . He is the One who told me to participate on Talk Jesus.

God wants all of us to have a personal relationship with Him.

And a prophet also has that.

Did you know God has a great sense of humor . A little wacked sometimes though . Lol

I can often tell if a persons vision or testimony is from God , when Gods humor becomes evident.

Dimitri Duttermin ( i might have butchered the spelling ) has a really wild testimonial. Just off the chart. But my favorite part was . After the Lord told Dimitri that He would send him to the land of milk and honey. The long story concludes with Dimitri getting into a car in America . And on the front seat was a jug of milk and jar of honey. I laughted so hard when hearing that .
Yup , that is exactly the wacked humor of God.

So am i a Prophet of God ? Yes

But im only telling you this now as the Lord told me to repeat it. Because i dont see myself in that way. I prefer being the Servant of God

The body is only the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Where did the soul come from ?

God

Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Greeting brother

Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God, on earth, made man from the dust of the earth. He made the flesh body.

When He breathed into the flesh body, the breath of life, man Became a living soul.

So we know from this God made Adam, and from Adam he made Eve, he breathed into them the breath of live, the Holy Spirit, and man Became a living soul.

Adam and Eve were 'perfect' at this time.

Then came the Fall and the curse.

All children born after the fall, which includes everyone that has been on earth or is on earth since Adam and Eve, were born of woman with man's help initially.

Question: So how can we come from the Father?

When a person dies, they have either received the Holy Spirit or they have not therefore...

The saved soul's flesh body returns to the dust of the earth, the spirit goes back to God.

The unsaved soul's flesh body returns to the dust of the earth and their man's spirit returns to God, as the unsaved does not have the Holy Spirit.

The first part seems pretty clear to me at this point, the last part is worthy of discussion.

Every new soul born, from the Fall, is born into sin. They have the breath of life, but not the Holy Spirit as they are not re-born in the Spirit.

Every new soul born, from the Fall, is a new living soul, and is not born with the Holy Spirit, but could carry sin from previous generations.

This Question is what baffles me what you are thinking according to The Word brother: How can we come from the Father?

Jesus says , ( and this instruction was given to all , whether sinner or saved , as he was speaking ) Our Father who is in Heaven . Now when Jesus is speaking to everyone , he was not sepparating the good from the bad . So this proves to me that all are the children of the Father , whether they want to believe Him or not.

Greeting brother

This is the way I view this Bill,

We are all God's children (He created us), but NOT ALL Children of God (Having been re-born)

We are only Children of God when we are saved, become a new creation, when we are born again.

God is 'Our Father,' the question is do we accept this, the saved do, the unsaved don't, but He is still 'Our Father', He doesn't want any to be lost, though many will be.

Bless you

No, I am not certain, what makes you think that? Is it because I keep asking...maybe it's because you keep not answering!

You seem confused. You say " we are all God's children " then you say " we are only children of God when we are saved "

That Is very confusing

Jesus did not stipulate, as you are when He told everyone " Our Father " . I dont recall Jesus saying . Only the saved can call God Father . Would you be so kind as to point it out for me.
