Intercessors are those who pray, as in making intercessions or prayer requests.There is only 1 mediator (although the Roman Catholics would say Mary is). But there isn't only one intercessor.
Using the KJV because that and a few ither modern versions aligns with the truth in John 16:13 as found in all Bibles that the Holy Spirit cannot speak from Himself but speak what He hears.Rom 8:26; In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
Rom 8:27; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:34; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
KJV aligns with John 16:13 in all Bibles in maintaining the truth in His words that the Holy Spirit cannot even utter His groanings from Himself in verse 26. In verse 27, the "he:" who searches our hearts is Jesus Christ per Hebrews 4:12-16 and He is that "he" that also knows the mind of the Spirit for it is Jesus that intercedes for the saints in according to the will of God being as He is the only Mediator between God ad man. That is how the Spirit's unuttered and unspoken intercessions are known to the Father by Jesus knowing the mind of the Spirit to give the silent intercessions of the Spirit's to the Father from that throne of grace.
Whenever the Father says yes to any of those intercessions presented by Jesus, be it our own, or the Spirit's or His own, the Son answers the prayers so the father may be glorified in the Son for answers to prayers John 14:13-14 and the Spirit's involvement in that is giving the Son all the credit & glory for answers to prayers and all that is done in ministry for words, gifts, and fruits of the Spirit per John 16:13-15
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Romans 8:34 from within your quote really belongs with the other references below since it is about Jesus Christ.
I understand your point of view, but when it comes to Him being the Mediator, all intercessions are presented by the Son at that throne of grace as He alone is the One that answers prayers to the glory of God the Father.There is a difference between an intercessor and a mediator.
1Tim 2:5; For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Heb 8:6; But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises.
Heb 9:15; For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
Heb 12:24; and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
