Job 13:10,11

- It is premonitory!

- Job knows God well!

- It tells about his special relationship with him!

- But they don’t care!

- Pride!

- Self-satisfaction!

- They are not afraid!

- They can be lucky that God put their destiny in Job’s hands!

- He could have struck them more severely!

- The religious leaders act the same way!

- The Hebrews acted the same way!

- Mankind has always acted the same way!

- They have always paid the price!

- But it is nothing compared to what is coming!

- And no one will save them this time!

Job 13:12,13

- Job is clear: they are wrong!

- And God will say he is right and they are wrong!

- They will be condemned and he will be rewarded for his continuous faithfulness!

- They should keep silent!

- But the devil is pushing them continuously!

- And think about the fourth individual who is going to speak later!

- When we listen to God’s words, he doesn’t exist!

- He ignores him!

- Isn’t it worse than being condemned?

- It shows the importance of listening to people!

- It shows the importance of analyzing the facts before speaking!

- When we speak too fast, we close doors!

- Thus how do we want people to keep listening to us?

- It doesn’t matter we live in a time of deep ignorance and fakes!

- Superficiality is the rule!

- Completely the opposite of Yah.weh’s acting!

- How do we want to look like Yah.weh if we look for superficiality?

- How do we want to develop a strong relationship with Yah.weh if we look for superficiality?

Job 13:14,15

- Job wants to control his life and destiny!

- I mean he knows who he is, he knows his faithfulness!

- He knows he hasn’t done anything wrong!

- He knows that God can kill him!

- He wants to defend himself in front of God!

- It is the only thing that counts for him!

- For him, there is only one way: faithfulness!

- He has no other option!

- FAITHFULNESS AND NOTHING ELSE!

- There is no possible discussion!

- He has the map in his brain, in his heart!

- It is written in stone!

- The best image is when Yah.weh wrote His Law in stone!

- But it doesn’t happen by chance!

- It is necessary to study the Bible and learn the way from the faithful servants of Yah.weh!

- He knows God can’t condemn him!

- He knows his faithfulness to God!

- He knows he can stand in front of God!

- He has never done anything he could be ashamed of!

- How is it possible to read such words and criticize Job?

- Why so much ignorance?

- Why speak against Yah.weh?

- There is no one like him on earth!

- Why speak like the devil?

- It has always been so!

- It won’t help!

- Man can keep lying!

- At the end, Yah.weh will strike him!

- He will tell him: “I don’t know you, go away”!

Job 13:17,18

- Job’s thoughts are clear!

- He has all his fighting spirit!

- His mind is so strong that it surpasses his pain and suffering!

- He has prepared his legal case meaning he has organized his personal defense!

- It is really important for him!

- And above all, he knows he is right!

- It is his compass which helps him to stay on course!

- He is a rock!

- He doesn’t care if people speak against him!

- He will keep being faithful to Yah.weh!

- No matter what happens!

- And finally Yah.weh asks him to decide what to do with the liars!

- When Jesus comes back, those who destroy the earth and oppose Yah.weh will pay the price!

- No pity!

- There is a limit of time to correct our attitude and make up our minds!

- Here we are: Job is ready to defend himself at any cost!

- There is nothing more valuable than his reputation in front of God!

- He will never keep silent!

- He shows us the way!

- Any connection will do!

- Whatever happens, he wants this communication!

- He can’t do without it!

-Yes, Job wants to know his errors and sins!

- Because he knows he hasn’t done anything wrong!

- And he wants God to tell him!

- He wants a discussion with God!

- Meaning he is used to doing it!

- And he doesn’t know what is happening!

- Why can’t he speak with God?

- Of course he doesn’t know what’s on between God and the devil!

- He doesn’t know God can’t have a discussion with him!

- And it is unbearable for him!

- Imagine you can’t speak with somebody who is close to you!

- You can’t speak with this person because he or she refuses to speak to you because of something you don’t know and you are not responsible!

- Of course, it is better to speak and to clarify the situation!

- When it is not possible, it is hard!

- The majority doesn’t have any relationship with Yah.weh and they don’t care!

- Job wants his special relationship with Yah.weh back!

- Do you understand why there is no one like him on earth?

- Why is he so special to Yah.weh?

- A man is nothing compared to God!

- But Job knows the type of relationship he has with God!

- Or he thinks he knows!

- It doesn’t matter if sometimes it is hard to communicate!

- Otherwise it makes it more difficult!

- And the problem gets bigger!

- He tries to go back to his past as far as he can!

- Thus he speaks about the sins of his youth!

- Of course, it has nothing to do with that!

- But when you don’t understand what’s on, you imagine any possibility!

- Even something which is not!

- And it brings more lack of understanding!

- It is a never ending story!

- You build on something which doesn’t exist for nothing!

- And stress brings on more stress!

- There is no way to get away from this infernal circle!

- it is necessary to evacuate part of the stress!

- Otherwise we may explode!

Job 13:27,28

Stocks and pillory

These were used to punish people for crimes such as swearing or drunkenness. Criminals would sit or stand at a wooden frame and the local people would throw rotten food or even stones at them. The stocks and pillory were used as a punishment throughout the 16th and 17th centuries.

- In such punishment you were unable to move!

- You can imagine what the people would feel!

- Mentally and physically!

- Thus it is exactly what Job feels!

- Except that for Job the punishment lasted for months!

- It is like being eaten alive by red ants and you can’t escape!

- Job feels like it goes on and on!

- Slowly but surely!

- Job has no future!

- For him, it seems that Yah.weh enjoys it!

- He is totally condemned!

- He doesn’t see any way out!

- And he can’t pray to Yah.weh!

- Because it seems he is not listening!

- Job speaks about man’s life!

- “short-lived”: Job is old when he speaks!

- But what does old mean?

- When we get older, we are physically old!

- But are we old mentally?

- The brain has so many abilities!

- And the more we live the more connections we can get!

- And we never use all that we have!

- And like the universe, the brain has no limit!

- So yes, man’s life is too short!

- And man is not made for such a short life!

- Otherwise why do we have such a powerful brain?

- But yes, in this world, our lives are filled with trouble!

- And Job knows what he speaks about because the devil is after him and he doesn’t know it!

- Now imagine we are at the end of the book and Job can go back to his peaceful life!

- He can now enjoy it!

- The past will slowly disappear!

- Now he knows that man doesn’t know everything!

- But he can speak to Yah.weh again!

- His strong relationship with him is back!

- He can help others again but always taking into account what has happened to him!

- It shows the importance to have a strong relationship to Yah.weh!

- It shows the importance of working for our survival!

- Taking care of our mental and physical health!

- Because when we are down we are good for nothing!

- And we can’t help ourselves!

- Yes, life is too short!

- And Job wants to live!

- But not in such conditions!

- He wants to get back to his normal life!

- He wants to be active!

- He wants to communicate with God!

- He doesn’t want to die!

- And his complaints show how much he wants to live!

- But life is too short!

- Human life is nothing compared to mental and physical abilities!

- Something is wrong!

- There is a disconnection between human life and human abilities!

- This disconnection led to modern human society which is a complete failure!

- And every new day shows us this!

- With men, there is no way out!

- Men have an incredible ability for total destruction!

- Not only destruction but total destruction!

- I would say extreme destruction!

- It is like an extreme pandemic!

- An extreme pandemic which spreads faster and faster!

- And it will reach the point where Yah.weh says: “ENOUGH”!

- God created man as a perfect creature!

- Because of the devil and because of Adam we lost this perfection!

- We can see the result every day by living in this world!

- We didn’t choose!

- But it is so!

- We can only wait for a new world!

- But for now we have to live in this world!

- But we must prepare for the next one!

- Remember the Israelites!

- They were not prepared!

- When they left, they acted as if they were still in Egypt!

- And if Moses hadn’t prevented God from destroying them, they would have been destroyed all at once and all of them!

- May we remember this reality!

- Now of course, we are unclean!

- We are imperfect!

- But by our choices we can improve our lives!

- We can do our best to follow Yah.weh!

- Of course, we will still be sinners!

- But we can actively fight against our nature by serving Yah.weh the best we can!

- It means full activity!

- Yes, man has limited days to live!

- But he should have lived forever!

- With no limits to learn!

- And no limits to develop ourselves!

- And the possibility to develop a personal relationship with God like the faithful characters in the Bible!

- And the possibility to work for God as the source of knowledge!

- Even if some angels rebel against God, the majority stays faithful!

- Why cut the roots of the tree?

- Men are responsible for what is going on the earth!

- He has been having a lot of time to prove himself!

- And what do we see: his ability to destroy everything and life itself!

- When Adam rebelled against Yah.weh, according to the Bible, he could live a lot more than what we can today!

- If Yah.weh hadn’t reduced his days, mankind would have completely eradicated life on earth!

- Thus eternal life is connected to faithfulness to Yah.weh!

- We need his guidance!

- We need to be told what to do because we are unable to govern ourselves!

- It also shows why we need to prepare for the next promised land!

- We must learn how to obey Yah.weh!

- He won’t tolerate disobediance!

- The earth belongs to him, not to mankind!

- Yah.weh created us, not the reverse!

- But they must be prepared to have responsibilities in the future!

- Yah.weh needs faithful servants who are responsible!

- Faithful servants who are ready to participate in the construction of the new promised land!

- We see that everywhere in the Bible!

- There is nothing new!

- We must open our eyes and our ears!

- And Yah.weh is the God of the living ones!

- Those who are alive in his memory because of what they did when alive!

- Yes, Job wants to die because of his pain and suffering!

- He wants to go to the Grave to be concealed!

- There he will wait for God to remember him and bring him back from death!

- Everything is clear in Job’s mind!

- Do we have the same mind light?

- Death is compared to water which disappears from the sea!

- Or when a river dries up!

- In the same way man lies down and does not rise!

- Everybody can understand the image!

- Man will not be awakened or roused from his sleep!

- Everybody can understand the image!

- If only you would hide me in Sheol and conceal me until your anger passes!

- If only you would appoint a time for me and then remember me!

- Death is compared to sleep!

- Job speaks about being concealed!

- Job speaks about an appointed time!

- Job speaks about being remembered by Yah.weh!

- How clear it is!

- Quite different from human imagination or dream or chimera!
