Hello
@Garee,
I am having trouble understanding people today, it seems.
Forgive me, but I will keep this short.
Thank you for responding with 1 Peter 1:8-11, the whole chapter is a blessing to read.
I won't say more, Garee, for I don't want to derail
@Twistie's thread.
Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris
Thanks for that reply.
I would offer. Understanding people when it comes to spiritual unseen things of God in one way is a design of God it can cause confusion. and perhaps in the confusion move a person to search out the others understanding .like; Where did they come up with that understanding?
In that way without parables Christ spoke not .To what end is a mystery made known through the parables .also called hidden manna
Parables in that way are
designed to
teach us how to walk by the
living faith (Christ) as
it is
written . 66 chapters that some call books
In one way we all speak in parables a signified or poetic understanding. Even my wife and I have to search our each others understanding once in a while, every other minute (LOL )
The tower of babble God taking away the understanding of each other .
For some time now I would think Jesus the Son of man was the most understood, misperceived person on the planet . The reason for the shortest verse .
Jesus wept
That does not mean people who seem confused are not. ?
A testimony to a law of parables or workings of parables is found in Luke 9 . Jesus giving a parable hiding the spiritual gospel understanding one after another again hiding the understanding over and over.
.At one point the apostles by their action (will) thought Jesus went off the deep end and began the who is the Alfa Dog (greatest amongst them) Then again teaching then how to walk by faith gave another parable .In the end of the matter he rebuked them given words from the father and reveled to them they knew not what manner of spirit they were of understanding by the things seen the temporal
Again revealing the greatest Christ the Holy Spirt working in them
Note. . (purple ) my added comment as a offering.
Luke 9:43-45 And they were all amazed
(not coming to the end of faith salvation of ones soul 1 Peter 1) at the
mighty power of
God. But while they wondered
(not coming to the end of faith salvation of ones soul 1 Peter 1)every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples, Let these
sayings sink down into your
ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men. But they
understood not this
saying, and it was
hid from them, that they
perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
Luke 9:4
6-48 Then there arose a
reasoning among
them, which of
them should be
greatest. (again they must of thought Jesus went of the deep end. ) And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him, And said unto
them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all,
the same shall be
great.
Hiding the understanding from the apostles John like john never heard John attempted to establish the
us from those who went out from
us . Then Jesus defined the us Christ not what the eyes see the temporal apostles
Luke 9:49-50 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with
us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid
him not: for
he that is not against
us is for
us.
Then another parable needed to teach us
how to walk by
faith .
Luke 9:51-54 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans,
(not Jerusalem) to make ready for him. And
they did not
receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John
saw (walking by sight) his, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command
fire to come down from heaven, and
consume them, even as Elias did?
Luke 9: 55 But
he turned, and rebuked
them, and said, Ye
know not what manner of
spirit ye are of.
No faith that alone comes from hearing God unseen rather putting there hope in the things seen the temporal
Parables the tongue of Christ performing the work of revealing the unseen things of
faith .The power of God
