Well I believe once your saved doesn't mean it's a sure thing because you have to take care of that cause if you don't it can be taken away from you. You can't just believe you have to repent and then be baptized (Mark 16:16). If you step all over jesus blood then you are no longer saved(Heb6:4-6)because that's like pinning him to that cross again.

I think the doctrine of justification by faith alone without works, Romans 3:21-31, means that what happens at the point of regeneration; the imputation of the righteousness of Christ is irreversable, based on a judicial act of God.

Possibly if the pictures of relationship, service and following the Lord were the only basis of our doctrine of salvation we might conclude that we could just as easily chose to turn away from the Lord, but it goes much deaper and further than that. For example Ephesians 1: 13,14 says we are sealed by the holy Spirit. He is the earnest, or God's stamp of ownership upon us. I am not my own. I am his property. I surrendered my will at calvary and now I am kept by the power of God. 1 Pet: 4,5

I don't think that Romans 3:21-31 speaks of faith without works. Rather, it speaks of faith without legalistic, superficial observance of the law. Good works are evidence of faith.

"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?. Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." (Jas 2: 14-15,17).

Abraham is used as an example of justification by faith without works and there was no superficial, legalistic, observance of the law in his day.
Ephesians 2: 8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.

The epistle of James has been used for centuries to try to counteract Paul's doctrine of justification by faith alone without works of any kind.

A simple solution is that the justification of Abraham in James 2: 21-26 happened around 10 to 15 years after God saved Abraham by faith and obediance (work) of Abraham fullfiled that faith of verse-23, which would mean the justification of verse 21 was not that which led to imputed righteousness (salvation) 10 or 15 years earlier mentioned in verse 23, but demonstrated and 'justified' his behaviour before men.

Multiples of scriptures are clear that salvation is dependant on one thing only and that is believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and trusting his blood atonement for sins.

I missed the last bit of your post that good works are evidance of faith. Please forgive me for seemingly going off on a needless tangent. I agree with you here.

Matthew 10:22
And everyone will hate you because of your allegiance to me. But those who endure to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:13
*But those who endure to the end will be saved.

Matthew 25:1-13
1 “The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of ten bridesmaids* who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. 2*Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3*The five who were foolish took no oil for their lamps, 4*but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. 5*When the bridegroom was delayed, they all lay down and slept. 6 At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and welcome him!’
7 “All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. 8*Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’ 9*But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. 11 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Sir, open the door for us!’ 12*But he called back, ‘I don’t know you!’
13*“So stay awake and be prepared, because you do not know the day or hour of my return.

John 15:1-8
1*“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2*He cuts off every branch that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. 3*You have already been pruned for greater fruitfulness by the message I have given you. 4*Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful apart from me.
5*“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. 6*Anyone who parts from me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. 7*But if you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted! 8*My true disciples produce much fruit. This brings great glory to my Father.

Galations 5:1-4
1*So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
2*Listen! I, Paul, tell you this: If you are counting on circumcision to make you right with God, then Christ cannot help you. 3*I’ll say it again. If you are trying to find favor with God by being circumcised, you must obey all of the regulations in the whole law of Moses. 4*For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.

Hebrews 3:12-14
12*Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters.* Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. 13*You must warn each other every day, as long as it is called “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. 14*For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

Hebrews 6:4-6
4*For it is impossible to restore to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come—6*and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people to repentance again because they are nailing the Son of God to the cross again by rejecting him, holding him up to public shame.

James 5:19&20
19*My dear brothers and sisters, if anyone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back again, 20*you can be sure that the one who brings that person back will save that sinner from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.

2Peter 1:10&11
10*So, dear brothers and sisters,* work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Doing this, you will never stumble or fall away. 11*And God will open wide the gates of heaven for you to enter into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

1John 2:15-17
15*Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16*For the world offers only the lust for physical pleasure, the lust for everything we see, and pride in our possessions. These are not from the Father. They are from this evil world. 17*And this world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever.

Revelation 2:4&5
4 But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! 5*Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again and work as you did at first. If you don’t, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches.

Revelation 2:10
. 10*Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The Devil will throw some of you into prison and put you to the test. You will be persecuted for ‘ten days.’ Remain faithful even when facing death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Revelation 3:1-5
“I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead. 2*Now wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is at the point of death. Your deeds are far from right in the sight of God. 3*Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly and turn to me again. Unless you do, I will come upon you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.
4*“Yet even in Sardis there are some who have not soiled their garments with evil deeds. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5 All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.

Revelation 3:15-19
15*“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other! 16*But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17*You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18*I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. And also buy white garments so you will not be shamed by your nakedness. And buy ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19*I am the one who corrects and disciplines everyone I love. Be diligent and turn from your indifference.

Doesn't sound to me like the Word of God agrees with "once saved always saved"

Hebrews 6:4-6
4*For it is impossible to restore to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come—6*and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people to repentance again because they are nailing the Son of God to the cross again by rejecting him, holding him up to public shame.

Hi brother Jiggy i was looking at this scripture and it goes on to say this.

Heb 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
Heb 6:10 For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

And you are correct the Word of God does'nt agree with "once saved always saved. The Prodical Son had to repent and return to his father.

God bless brother

Amen Fellowservant, for as many as are led by the Spirit, these are the sons of God.
Many of the parables that Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God show that the hope of our salvation doesn't rest on a one time decision, but rather a decision made daily or even moment by moment. My favorite parable to teach from is the seed and the sower. Jesus said the seed is the Word of God( Jesus ). Three of the four described in the parable receive the Word but dries up in one and choked out of the other, only one example given grows and yields a crop. Matthew 13:1-23

What is Lost, What is Saved?

I must lovingly disagree with some of my brethren on
this crucial and important doctrinal point. Grace,
Sovereign Grace of God that imparts salvation to a
'dead' person can 'never' be taken back or that
individual 'lost'....... AGAIN!!

What does it mean to be lost?

Jesus came to seek and 'save' that which was
'lost'. Luke 19:10.

The 'lost' are under the 'Wrath' of God due to their
relationship to sin and any lack of conformity to
the character and will of the Heavenly Father.
John 3:36 ;Col.3:6.

What does it mean to be SAVED?

The Power of the Holy Spirit through 'regeneration'
that imparts the 'seed' of God into the believing and
receiving 'lost' sinner. Transforms him\her from a
state of 'spiritual death' to 'spiritual life -'everlasting!'

Eph:2:1: And you hath he quickened, who were dead in
trespasses and sins; 'A dead man can't cry out to God!'

Titus 3:5: Not by works of righteousness which we have
done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the
washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

You suddenly become a 'brand new creation'!

2Cor. 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things
are become new.

We were 'chosen' by God according to 'His' purpose not
ours in 'His' election of Sovereign Grace!!

Eph:1:4: According as he hath chosen us in him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and
without blame before him in love:

God 'predestinated us into fellowship and 'Sonship' 'before'
'He' created anything! We look at Salvation as if we were
the 'big' deciding factor to 'call' on 'His' saving Power. Where
the Bible tells us over and over again : 'He chose you, not the
other way around!' John 15:16

Eph. 1:5: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of
children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good
pleasure of his will,

Eph. 1:6: To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein
he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

How can any Christian say that a 'believer' who has received
'eternal' pardon, redemption, sanctification, justification and

Acts 13:48c- and as many as were ordained to eternal life
believed.

glorification, has the 'power' to 'reverse' the multitude of acts,
of God Almighty in that person's 'PREORDAINED' SALVATION?!

Ridiculous! Check out these scriptures for the 'eternal security'
of Christ's own beloved!

Rom. 8:28: And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the called according
to his purpose.

Rom. 8:29: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate
to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the
firstborn among many brethren.

Rom. 8:30: Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also
called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom
he justified, them he also glorified. Notice the 'ed' in Eternity
passed God this! So How can you 'lose' your salvation!!!

Rom. 8:31: What shall we then say to these things? If God be
for us, who can be against us?

There are many, many scriptures that totally support that we
will 'never' see the 'pangs' of Hell or be thrust for all 'eternity'
as PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE!!

Christ is complete and He never said or is it written in the Word
of God that He will 'lose' a finger, toe, nose etc. symbolizing we
as the 'complete Body of Christ! Eph. 5:30, The Apostle
Paul states in 1 Cor. 15:51,52 of the 'Rapture', :lightning
" we shall 'all' be changed". Not some, not some that were
saved, now lost, see how ludicrous this is?!

John 10:28: And I give unto them eternal life; and
they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck
them out of my hand. 'It's either eternal or not!'

I would rather trust, believe and take the Words of Jesus,
that I have been given 'eternal 'life'. That was purchassed
by the effectual sacrifice by the 'PREDESTINED' plan of God
for my 'eternl' salvation. Then to listen to some 'FEAR'
provoking sermon, by a preacher that is not 'secure' in his
own salvation! Read John 17 ch. the continuing 'curative'
and 'advocacy'. 1 John 2:1

Because of Christ's unceasing intercession for us, He is
able to 'SAVE' US totally, completely and 'eternally'
Hebrews 7:25 ! Hallelujah!

When the Apostle Paul understood when it was revealed
to him by God's Spirit of what 'ETERNAL LIFE' IS. HE sat
down and penned these scriptures as he was moved by the
Holy Ghost!

Rom. 8:38: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things
present,nor things to come,

Rom 8:39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which
is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Yep! Brother Paul, You covered everything in this life!
Amen!

It is a matter of semantics. My definition of the question leads me to answer thus;

The Lord says we should work out our salvation with fear and trembling. If once saved, means eternally saved, then let us eat and drink and do as we please for we have accepted the Lord as our saviour and we are saved no matter what we do. Any branch of the vine that does not bear fruit will be pruned, cut off. According to brother Paul, some concerning the faith have been ship-wrecked. In the old testament, the Lord always spoke about the soul of the person who breaks His laws being cut-off. This does not mean dying, it means having no part in the blessings of God for His people, simply put, no longer to be counted as His.

Once saved always saved is mans way of corrupting the Word of God
Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

1 John 3:24
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 5:2-3
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

I am of the opinion that we are saved, just as long as we stay saved. Paul said "Demas hath forsaken me having loved this present evil world"

I am my fathers son. I always will be my fathers son, no matter what I do, I will be his son until I die. I believe that when we accept Jesus as our Savior, repenting of sin, and in sincerety accept His Salvation, then we are saved and become children of God. Sons of God, in fact, "Heirs and joint heirs with Christ"

Like Demas, after receiving Jesus as our Savior some return to the worldly life and ways. What can we say about this? Rather what does the bible teach about this?

I am not of the opinion that we can belong to Jesus one day, and then drift away the next. If we are saved, sincerely, then we are saved for eternity. But what does the bible say about those who drift, turn away?

Jesus tells us of "many" who will say at that day, "we have cast out devils in your Name, in your Name we have done many mighty works" Jesus says, "Depart from me I never knew you" it is followed by a "casting into outer darkness" as unprofitable servants. Who are these people??

Could they be the dear folks who accepted Jesus,, but then fell away. Like Demas, loved the world??

Your thoughts!

Demas.

Jesus said 'ETERNAL', or is 'ETERNAL' something
else?!

John 10:28: And I give unto them eternal life; and
they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck
them out of my hand.

We were chosen, called, justified, sanctified,
and 'glorified' 'before' God created anything!!

Eph. 1:4,5.

We are His 'elect'! He cast the votes of those
who would 'come' to Him and those who would
not.

1Peter 1:2: Elect according to the foreknowledge
of God the Father, through sanctification of the
Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood
of Jesus Christ:

God- not man, in a predetermined plan shed
His Blood for 'His' people, His own!!

Matt. 1:21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou
shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his
people from their sins.

You, mere man are more 'powerful' than God! You
can 'walk' away from God's predestined plan of
Salvation! You can't 'keep' yourself 'saved'!!

1Peter 1:4: To an inheritance incorruptible, and
undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved
in heaven for you,

1Peter 1:5: Who are kept by the power of God
through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed
in the last time.

This doctrine of 'losing' so great a salvation is called
Armenism, [I don't think I spelled it right],anyway,
it's only a few hundred years old and the First church
'never' preached or taught it! :thumbs_do

This doctrine is built on 'works' not God's Sovereign
'Grace' towards 'His' chosen. Eph. 2:8!
_________________________________________________________

The consensus is that the same Demas in Col.4:14and
Philm. 1:24,is identity of the same Demas in 2Tim.4:10
of whom Paul reports desertion and the assertion that
Demas "loved the world."

Though this is often misused to present the notion that
Demas lost his salvation, Paul never said that, nor would
that conclusion fit with the whole of scripture.

Jude:1:24: Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling,
and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory
with exceeding joy,

Jude:1:25: To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and
majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Once saved always saved or eternal security and calvinism's predestination are false doctrines.

This brings great glory to my Father.

Hebrews 10:23-29
23*Without wavering, let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. 24*Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. 25*And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
26*Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received a full knowledge of the truth, there is no other sacrifice that will cover these sins. 27*There will be nothing to look forward to but the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. 28*Anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29*Think how much more terrible the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God and have treated the blood of the covenant as if it were common and unholy. Such people have insulted and enraged the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to his people.

Revelation 2:4&5
4 But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! 5*Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again and work as you did at first. If you don’t, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches.

Rev. 2:23-25
23*I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve. 24*But I also have a message for the rest of you in Thyatira who have not followed this false teaching (‘deeper truths,’ as they call them—depths of Satan, really). I will ask nothing more of you 25*except that you hold tightly to what you have until I come.

Rev. 3:3
3*Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly and turn to me again. Unless you do, I will come upon you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.

Rev. 3:12
12*All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write my God’s name on them, and they will be citizens in the city of my God—the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God.

Rev. 3:15&16
15*“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other! 16*But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth!

Set free, I hope you will reconsider you belief in OSAS, it is not supported by scripture, but is a result of man twisting God's Word. Please ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth to you concerning eternal life and salvation. I used to be deceived by this same false doctrine until I asked God for the Truth and then it set me free.

Sermon by Larry Gibbons

Is it true that you can never lose your salvation? Folks don’t always agree on this and are quick to martial certain scriptures to defend their view. Certainly eternal security is a doctrine that may be used by some to justify a failure to walk with the Lord; but if it’s not true, all believers are in trouble. I think the controversy arises from what is meant by being saved. In today’s religious culture, answering an altar call and inviting Jesus into one’s heart seems to be the rule. Sadly, the moment often is seemingly quickly forgotten in the midst of life’s demands. (Hey, we’re a nation in a hurry.)

The perseverance of the saints is a vital doctrine, too. Scripture places a lot of emphasis on following through with the initial decision. For instance, John 8:30-32 is revealing. “As He [Jesus] spoke these words, many believed in Him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you continue in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” The rest of the chapter proceeds to show how these same “believers” ended up trying to stone him. That was the trouble with Jesus. He wouldn’t immediately commit himself to some who were said to have “believed.” It makes you wonder if he would appreciate all our soul-winning programs and efforts today. He would ask tough questions and challenge people. The parable of the sower is instructive, too, notably the seed that fell where there was no depth of earth and the seed that fell where thorns choked it.

The answer to the controversy is to recognize that one truly saved WILL continue in the faith. However, that needn’t mean assurance comes all at once. Many believers, if not most, may struggle long and hard to possess the priceless truth of their security. Such was my case.

Things too easily obtained are frequently not appreciated like they should be. Perhaps that is why God may be slow in answering the prayers of His newborns. It is the hungry that will sing the loudest to the hymn of “Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine.” Then it is seen that the bedrock of the Christian faith is the assurance scripture offers to all who entrust their lives to Christ and his finished work on the cross. Believers since the time of Job and Abraham testified to this. Christ Himself assures us repeatedly, demonstrating His love through His suffering on the Cross and His power by His resurrection. Failure to comprehend this is to remain ignorant and unresponsive to the Holy One who made us and suffered the agony of the Cross to gain our love.

Jesus is both our Lord and Savior. As much as we might want to make Him Lord we must first know Him as Savior. Only out of a response to his unconditional love and ability to fulfill his promises can true discipleship take place. Otherwise, we have no alternative but to depend upon our own goodness and efforts.

Countless scriptures give us reason for complete confidence in Christ, that nothing can ever separate us from His love. To quote but just a few:

JOHN 5:24 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

JOHN 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

JOHN 6:47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

JOHN 10:27-29 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one.

ROMANS 8:28-30 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

ROMANS 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We talk of "losing" our salvation but your salvation isn't something you can lose. It's not a set of car keys that you misplace. You can't "lose" your salvation but you can walk away from it. Eternal salvation is for everyone, but as someone quoted above (and I paraphrase) "if a branch does not produce fruit it gets pruned". I know from very personal experiences that "once saved always saved" is a very dangerous doctrine. One of many examples, my best friends
former girlfriend assumed that since she said a prayer when was 6 that she could live how she wished, and she did. I won't list all of her activities but they certainly weren't what a follower of Christ would partake in. We can have the assurance of being saved, as long as we keep Christ at the center of our lives. It's when we take our eyes off of Jesus and notice the world around us that we sink into the deep waters and it is only through calling out His name for help that we can be saved.

Only God knows the identities of those who are "permanently saved", the ones whose names are written in The Lamb's Book of Life (see Rev 21:27).

I would agree that names written in that book will never be erased, but it is not ours to declare anyone "permanently saved". Only God can do that.

I don't know what to believe regarding this issue, maybe we need a comparison chart of the pro eternal security Bible references and the con eternal security references? I don't have the Biblical knowledge to put something like this together, but it could be similiar to the Jesus human < > God thread. Just an idea, where are you article posters when I need you?

Is there a record anywhere in the new testament of someone being "saved"?

Rev. 3:5 "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels."
