There is no such thing as Apostles anymore. They were the firsts. As for Prophets, there are no more prophecies.

The word apostle simply means "sent one" with no additional meaning added . They are sent with prophecy the word of God . Abel the prophet is the first mentioned apostle and first martyr murdered for his faith that came from hearing God.

No new prophesies . The perfect or existing gospel is still declared by those God gives a desire to proclaim the gospel to the world .Calling them apostles.

God proves things by his actions disproving them that fal under the spirit of judgment represented by the tribe of Dan . False prophets and false apostles as a brood of vipers they fall backward off of there high horses slain in the Spirit or break the neck . They continue to mock God and make baby sounds without understanding . . falling backwards as a sign of judgment against those who refuse to hear the interpretation of God's words .Again not noises without meaning testified by falling backward slain in the Spirit

So God will use this strange way of talking, and he will use other languages (prophecy) to speak to these people. In the past he spoke to them and said, “Here is a resting place. All churches are filled by the unseen work or power of the Holy Spirit

Some made Jesus into circus seal . In effect saying; Perform a wonder, work a miracle then we will exercise a faith toward as God seen working, performing miracle right before my eyes .

No such thing as a sign gift , gifts follow after the unseen work of God who does work in us to both reveal his will and empower us to finish it. Yoked with Him ,he makes our daily burdens lighter .

And yes, if you believe that God no longer can/will give sight to the blind, raise the dead, or make the lame to walk….then yes, you have small faith in what God can do through the operation of His Holy Spirit. Faith is not of ourselves, it must be given and built up by God.

You may say you believe….and you very well may….but belief and faith are not the same thing.
So, is your faith great or small?
Belief is almost always limited by what we can see, what our eyes can confirm, and what our human brain can reconcile based on that.
Faith, on the other hand, is confidence in the unseen. It is the assurance that God’s promises WILL come to pass even when we don’t see a way that it’s physically possible. Our faith falters and fails when we try and put earthly limitations on what God can and will do.
Faith comes by hearing. And hearing by the Word of God (spoken, written, and in flesh….Jesus)
It’s knowing that God WILL DO exactly what HIS Word says He will do even when it may seem impossible to us.

So yes, by your responses here on this forum…..you seem to have to very small faith. Your eyes don’t see something (like miracles) happening today, so it makes no (earthly) sense to you….then, based on YOUR understanding (or lack thereof) you search scripture trying to find justification for what your eyes of flesh cannot see and therefore cannot accept.

And what “sect” are you referring to from which I get my truth?
I stand on the truth of God’s Word, and on the power and authority of Jesus Christ in whose name I was baptized, and on the guiding authority of His Holy Spirit who fills me.

Sorry, but Jesus is coming again. All prophesy has not been yet fulfilled. The perfect will be when He returns and fulfills all prophesy.

Jesus will come again, but he is the perfect that came the first time.

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

When we were children is about being under the old law.
Galatians 3:24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith.

So now that Jesus has come, we are no longer as a child. The perfect has come.

We no longer see through a glass darkly, for they have seen him face to face.

The Old Testament believers waited a long time for God to reveal Jesus to us, and in the New Testament time people prophesied about what God finally revealed to us what He wanted us to know. We have the mysteries revealed, and we have all the teachings we need to lead us to eternal life, we cannot add or subtract from the finished work, we cannot add new prophecies and knowledge to the Bible. The perfect has come.

When you only have prophesy in part (as in the Old Testament times), the prophecy has not yet been fulfilled, and more prophecy is needed, it is imperfect. However, when there is fulfillment of prophecy (as in the New Testament times), then we have full understanding; so then, it is perfect and, that which is perfect is come.

God still does miracles for people and the scriptures don't say healing would stop. As for when the Apostles were helping in laying the foundation, God gave them the ability to do miraculous things as a testimony from Him.

God already testified to the message, and the foundation has already been laid, and there are no more Apostles.

Seeing he informs us in Mathew 24 no sign is given to wonder after and things like wars and rumor of wars ,earth quakes and such will continue till the end.

What sign are you wondering after in a hope it will fulfill other prophecy ?

We know the Son of man fulfilled the sign of the Jonas the prophet

Luke 11:29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

So no more apostles or prophets? So we (believers) have all attained the unity of faith? We, as the church have reached full maturity in our knowledge of the Son of God, “to a measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ? Because if not (and we obviously haven’t) then God’s Word clearly tells us through Paul, that we STILL need the fivefold ministry…..including Apostles and Prophets.

I give you solid scripture that you cannot refute. And you keep giving out Reformed Church/Calvinistic talking points. Calvinism and Reformed theology has some things right, but a lot wrong my friend. Thief is a spirit of pride and arrogance that has permeated it. God’s Word is complete, inerrant, and sufficient….but knowledge (or supposed knowledge) of it alone cannot save.
Knowledge of the Gospel message is awesome….but that can’t save a
Person. Gods Word MUST be APPLIED! The blood of Jesus MUST be applied. There MUST be a supernatural occurrence….a baptism of the Spirit. A person MUST take on Christ. Worship MUST be more than just words.
God is spirit and MUST be worshipped IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH!
The Reformed church, in its comfortable self-assurance that it “stands on the truth of scripture alone” (sola scriptura) , quite often completely misses the whole APPLICATION of it.

Thank God for His mercies….taking me out of Calvinism and out of Reformed Theology and into Apostolic truth….into the Spirit-filled church!
