What do believe is the Sabbath day?

According to the Bible the Sabbath was kept by the Jews. It was from Friday evening to Saturday evening. Christians do not keep the sabbath but we worship on the first day of the week, Sunday. Keep the Sabbath was the only one of the original 10 commandments that was not repeated in the NT. Remember in the NT the religious leaders were always trying to point a finger at Christ for working or doing miracles on the sabbath. God did teach the Christians in the NT church not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together Heb. 10:25.

1 John 2:2-3

2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not by ours only but also for the whole world. 3 Now by this we know Him, if we keep his commandments.

Revelation 14:12

Here is the patience of the saint; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Matthew 5:17

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

Revelation 12:17

And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill the law. Saturday has been the Sabbath from the beginning of time. The Sabbath has been moved to Sunday by the authority of the Cathic Church and is not a Biblical teaching. Jesus did say that the Sabbath was for man but in Mark 2:16 He said He was the Lord of the Sabbath. No where does it say that all other commandments are to be kept but number 4. I have been studying this closely and if someone has Biblical verses for the abolishment of the Sabbath or the changing of days, it would be helpful.

Thank you,
God Bless

I want to add one little point. The Ten Commandments were written in stone by the Finger of God. God is the same God today as he was to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Malachi 3:6

"For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

God does not change. He wrote the Ten commandments for us to obey and for God's glory. Why decide to change something written in stone! He created the Heavens and the earth in six days and mandated that the seventh day be kept Holy.

2Corinthians 3:7-18
7*That old system of law etched in stone led to death, yet it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away. 8*Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory when the Holy Spirit is giving life? 9*If the old covenant, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new covenant, which makes us right with God! 10*In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new covenant. 11*So if the old covenant, which has been set aside, was full of glory, then the new covenant, which remains forever, has far greater glory.
12*Since this new covenant gives us such confidence, we can be very bold. 13*We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so the people of Israel would not see the glory fading away. 14*But the people’s minds were hardened, and even to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, a veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. 15*Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.
16*But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away. 17*Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom. 18 And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect* the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

Hebrews 8:1-13
1*Here is the main point: Our High Priest sat down in the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. 2*There he ministers in the sacred tent, the true place of worship that was built by the Lord and not by human hands.
3*And since every high priest is required to offer gifts and sacrifices, our High Priest must make an offering, too. 4*If he were here on earth, he would not even be a priest, since there already are priests who offer the gifts required by the law of Moses. 5*They serve in a place of worship that is only a copy, a shadow of the real one in heaven. For when Moses was getting ready to build the Tabernacle, God gave him this warning: “Be sure that you make everything according to the design I have shown you here on the mountain.”* 6*But our High Priest has been given a ministry that is far superior to the ministry of those who serve under the old laws, for he is the one who guarantees for us a better covenant with God, based on better promises.
7*If the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no need for a second covenant to replace it. 8*But God himself found fault with the old one when he said:
“The day will come, says the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel and Judah.
9* This covenant will not be like the one
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
and led them out of the land of Egypt.
They did not remain faithful to my covenant,
so I turned my back on them, says the Lord.
10* But this is the new covenant I will make
with the people of Israel on that day, says the Lord:
I will put my laws in their minds
so they will understand them,
and I will write them on their hearts
so they will obey them.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
11* And they will not need to teach their neighbors,
nor will they need to teach their family,
saying, ‘You should know the Lord.’
For everyone, from the least to the greatest,
will already know me.
12* And I will forgive their wrongdoings,
and I will never again remember their sins.”*
13*When God speaks of a new covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and ready to be put aside.

Galatians 3:1-5
1*Oh, foolish Galatians! What magician has cast an evil spell on you? For you used to see the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death as clearly as though I had shown you a signboard with a picture of Christ dying on the cross. 2*Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the law? Of course not, for the Holy Spirit came upon you only after you believed the message you heard about Christ. 3*Have you lost your senses? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? 4*You have suffered so much for the Good News. Surely it was not in vain, was it? Are you now going to just throw it all away?
5*I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law of Moses? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.

Galatians 5:1-6
1*So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
2*Listen! I, Paul, tell you this: If you are counting on circumcision to make you right with God, then Christ cannot help you. 3*I’ll say it again. If you are trying to find favor with God by being circumcised, you must obey all of the regulations in the whole law of Moses. 4*For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.
5*But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive everything promised to us who are right with God through faith. 6*For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, it makes no difference to God whether we are circumcised or not circumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

Colossians 2:16&17
16*So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new-moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. 17*For these rules were only shadows of the real thing, Christ himself.

Romans 7:1-6
1*Now, dear brothers and sisters*—you who are familiar with the law—don’t you know that the law applies only to a person who is still living? 2*Let me illustrate. When a woman marries, the law binds her to her husband as long as he is alive. But if he dies, the laws of marriage no longer apply to her. 3*So while her husband is alive, she would be committing adultery if she married another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law and does not commit adultery when she remarries.
4*So this is the point: The law no longer holds you in its power, because you died to its power when you died with Christ on the cross. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, you can produce good fruit, that is, good deeds for God. 5*When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced sinful deeds, resulting in death. 6*But now we have been released from the law, for we died with Christ, and we are no longer captive to its power. Now we can really serve God, not in the old way by obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way, by the Spirit.

Romans 8:1-4
1*So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2*For the power* of the life-giving Spirit has freed you* through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death. 3*The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. God destroyed sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. 4*He did this so that the requirement of the law would be fully accomplished for us* who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

Hebrews 10:1-7
1*The old system in the law of Moses was only a shadow of the things to come, not the reality of the good things Christ has done for us. The sacrifices under the old system were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship. 2*If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared.
3*But just the opposite happened. Those yearly sacrifices reminded them of their sins year after year. 4*For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5*That is why Christ, when he came into the world, said,
“You did not want animal sacrifices and grain offerings.
But you have given me a body so that I may obey you.
6* No, you were not pleased with animals burned on the altar
or with other offerings for sin.
7* Then I said, ‘Look, I have come to do your will, O God—
just as it is written about me in the Scriptures.’”*

Jiggyfly,

Wonderful. I'm speachless. Thank you very much for using so many versus to help me out. I thank you. Is this saying that we don't have to follow the ten commandments at all, or that we are just not held captive by them.

Thank you so much for the help,
God Bless

The law as made for sinners

Hello,

Here is proof we are under the laws -->

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Master, Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but those that do the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Master, Master, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye workers of iniquity.

The word iniquity means: "law breakers - transgressors of the law" (Strongs # 458).

The ones that Yahshua will reject are the law breakers.

Whosoever does and teaches the law will be called great in heaven (Mat 5:19), so don't teach against it, or say it's been removed.

Does Yahweh write and put his laws in our hearts and minds? YES
(Heb 8:10), and should we keep them? YES (Heb 10:16). He puts His laws in us, so we can keep them, and His Word is put in us.

Was the law made for sinners so we can repent? YES (1Tim 1:9), and so that we could also know what sin is? YES (Rom 7:7). So if the law is done away with, then how could we possibly repent not even knowing what all sin is?

Was Yahshua crucified to give us a green light to sin? NO (1John 3:8, 1Cor 15:2)

Did Yahshua remove the laws for us? NO (Mat 5:18)

Are sins committed after being born again automatically forgiven? NO, or we will be judged? YES (2 Pet 2:20-21, Heb 9:14, Heb 10:26)

Did Yahshua die for "all past and future sins" for everyone? NO. Those who reject him and/or don't do Yahweh's will may die in their sins - (Mat 12:31, John 3:7, Heb 10:26, Acts 10:43, Mat 7:13-15, Rev 19:20, Acts 26:18, Mark 7:13, Heb 9:14-15)

Are we under the Royal law to love our neighbors? YES (James 2:8)

Yahshua kept the laws. Are we to walk as he walked? YES (1John 2:3-6) We are to walk in truth, and not sin.

Are we under the law of faith? YES. And should we make the law void through our faith? NO .

Do we then make the law void through our faith? Yahweh forbid: yes we shall keep the law. (Rom 3:27-31)

If you're sinning, then you're under the applicable laws to stop sinning. If you're keeping all the law then you're not sinning. (1John 3:4)

Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.

1John 3:4 - Whoever commits sin trangresses also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law.

His Child

Excellent post Jiggyfly. I have not been to many churches (man made ones), but God has revealed all that to me, during the past year or so, which I thank Him daily for, through our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the true Living God, for revealing such truths to me.

Now all that needs to happen, is for the man made buildings, is to teach people how to be The Church (Christ's Church) outside the church (building). That way, the purpose that Jesus came for, was not only to give us the good news and follow him and free us from all our sins, but also to destroy the works of the devil.

1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Sin is more rampant than ever, so we all need to look at ourselves and find out why? Become more holy, because the world is watching us. We need to be a shining light and keep the candle burning.

So go to our High Priest, he can help you in being an overcomer. And he is more trustworthy and wil never let you down and will always guide you out of sin, into the light, to become more righteous.

I give praise and thanks to Our Father in Heaven, through our Lord Jesus Christ, for loving us all so much, that He sent His son to us, to show us a far and better way.

Is this saying that we don't have to follow the ten commandments at all, or that we are just not held captive by them.

No, when you are born of God, God will put His law into our minds and into hearts. Including the ten commandments.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

If one does not follow the ten commandments, than which god are they worshipping, because the very first one, is most important one, which one must follow!

Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself

Jn 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jn 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

I believe we are to follow the ten commandments fully, not just nine of them. Romans 3:31 helps me out alot. I am so confused as why the Sabbath has been changed and by what authority it was done. I am not Seventh-Day Aventist, but I do believe this is an important issue. Sunday laws are in the working as we speak, and by believing that the Sabbath is Saturday, I don't think this change is of God. This among other things are going to be deeply prayed over. I trust in Jesus fully and I know I need to keep from sin, but this issue is sitting on my heart, and clarification is needed.

Thank you everyone for your help on this subject,
God Bless

Yes that is exactly what the scriptures are saying, you will not find any new covenant instructions to follow the law or the scriptures themselves, but you will find repeatedly that we are instructed to be led by HolySpirit. In the new covenant we are instructed to deny self or die to self in order to follow Christ and be His disciple. Can a dead man keep the law? Can he practice or do acts of righteousness? Can he obey rules and regulations?

Our focus should not be to live good or in what we think is right, but rather die to self and allow HolySpirit to control our lives so that Christ may live through us. We have a civil law, do each of us interpret for ourselves what is lawful? No, we have people called Judges that interpret the law for us and then hold us accountable to it. Well there are no more judges for God's law except for Father Himself, this is why HolySpirit lives within us now, He interprets the Law for us and guides us accordingly.

This is the reality of the new covenant of which the old testament gives light to time and again. It is really an amazing plan and resolve to man's fallen state. Look at how Paul prays for the believers in Ephesus.
Ephesians 3:14-21
14*When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,* 15*the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16*I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. 17*And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. 18*And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. 19*May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
20*Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. 21*May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen.

All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. II Tim. 3:16,17

The man of God here is not the pastor it is every believer.

Thanks Jiggyfly

I feel so encouraged by reading the scriptures that you quoted. Thank you for your thoughtful (Spirit led) response, it blessed my heart.

When it comes to the Sabbath, I have thought on this a lot. And have lived different ways because of my studies. Most important I believe is our heart condition before Jesus. I don't think that the actual day matters, but how we are living life with Jesus. I do like those sabbath naps once in awhile & try not to "work" around the house on Sunday (I am currently not working outside of the home). But if we have a friend in need of help on a project we (my husband and I) jump at the chance to serve and bless another.

There's my 2 cents worth. Main thought is my (our) heart condition before the Lord. He knows and loves us.

If we do not follow God's Word His plan for faith and practice for our lives we are no different than the people that lived in the days of the judges.

Jdg 17:6 In those days [there was] no king in Israel, [but] every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes. Jdg 21:25 In those days [there was] no king in Israel: every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes.
The Bible is our daily food for each day. Without it we are anemic Christians to say the least. It is by and through the Word of God that our faith grows. It is our armor for the daily battle. Just to give you a glimpse of how important the Word of God is God esteems His Word above His Name!!!

Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

One way unto salvation.

My prevoius post shares several new covenant teachings/instructions that clearly prove we are under the law, and are to keep the law. We are not to walk in sin, or serve Satan. The law was made for sinners, and so that we might know sin and repent from sin. When we keep in Yahweh's Word, we are serving Him by doing His Holy will.

Our focus should be on being good/Holy, for Yahweh doesn't dwell in sin/evil, and His Word is for learning how to be Holy.

The ones that will be saved are those who do Yahweh's will, and His Word are instructions unto Him/Righteousness and Salvation.

The Holy scriptures are His Word and teachings unto righteousness, and instructions unto Salvation.

We are to deny and put away our old sinning selves, as we were originally born into the first earthly Adam "sinner".

And we are to put on Yahshua Messiah the Last Adam "sinnless" son of Yahweh that was sent from heaven by Yahweh (1Cor 47-49, Eph 4:24, Col 3:10, John 3:16-17)

We are to become born again by the Word of Yahweh (1Pet 1:23), so that the spirit of Yahweh can dwell in us that have burried our sins with Yahshua (1Cor 3:16).

Yahshua is the Word that became flesh to teach us (John 1:14), and he is the Word of Yahweh (Rev 19:13) that we are to follow, and keep on the one way path with him by walking as he walks.

There is no other way unto salvation but through Yahshua (John 14:6), and the Holy spirit of truth testifies of Yahshua (John 15;26), and I also testify that Yahshua is "the Word of Yahweh".

The true sheep have been given to Yahshua, we belong to him, and He lives, and his sheep know his voice. (John 10:14-29, John 17:6)

Beliveing on him means: "commiting ourselves to abide in him" (strongs #4100). Faith without works is dead (James 2:18-26).

When we put on Yahshua, we already died and became born again so that we will live forever "As long as we continue to live according to the Word of Yahweh.

In all things Love Yahweh and one another.

I understand that we are to trust and rely on Jesus Christ fully, not a problem for me to understand this. The Spirit is leading me to believe that we have to keep his commandments, even with the new covenent. I love the Lord with all my heart, which leads me to want to keep his commands.

1 John 5:1-3

1* Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ ia born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who gegotten of Him. 2* By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3* For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

So the question that I have is, what commandments are we to keep? If we are no longer under the Law(commandments) of God, then what Law(commandments) are we to obey without burden?

Peace cb6mustang5,

I agree we can't be saved by keeping the laws alone, nor by faith or grace alone.

Grace is for past sins, and not for sins comitted after being born again.

Faith with works is dead.

It starts with faith and faith means believing. If our belief is true, then believe means submitting and abiding in Yahshua "the Word of Yahweh" (John 1:1, John 1;14, Rev 19:13)

It's doing everything "our very best and always to show the Heavenly Father that we truely love Him back. He loved us first and proved so much by giving us His very best only begotten son Yahshua.

Mat 22:36 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 And he said unto him, Thou shalt love Yahweh thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second like unto it is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

You see Yahweh is Love (1John 4:8), and Yahshua was showing us the Father within him (John 14:10). Yahshua wants us to do the same. When we love one another, were showing others our Father Yahweh within us.

If your love for Him is true, then you will obey as much of His Word that you possibly can. Whoever told you that were not under His laws is a liar. There is the law of faith, the Royal law, and Yahweh writes His laws in our hearts and minds. When we recieve His Word, it goes into our minds, then we lay it to heart and live by it.

If you break His laws, then you are sinning and there is no more grace, but rather judgement.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.

Some think the laws are just for the Jews, but I got news for you. Yahshua was a Jew, and we have been grafted into him. We are now Jews of the Spirital Israel, and the one true temple of Yahweh as living stones that build up this spiritual house/place (1Pet 2:4-7), being members of one another (Rom 12:5).

Yahshua is the corner stone that we build on, and the New Jerusalem is the Mother of us all (GA 4:26). WE WHO ARE IN YAHSHUA ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD TO LEED OTHERS OUT OF THE DARKNESS UNTO HIM (Mat 5:14)

2Pet 2:20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Master and Saviour Yahshua Ha Mashiyach, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the last state is become worse with them than the first. 21 For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 It has happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog turning to his own vomit again, and the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire.

We can't pick and choose what part of His Word to keep, and that seems what most peope are doing to meet their own understandings.

Whosoever does and teaches the law will be called great in heaven (Mat 5:19)

Yahweh doesn't dwell in sin, and neither shall we. We don't keep the laws for trying to earn salvation. We keep His laws for keeping our temple pure so that He can dwell in us. (1Cor 3:16)

Thank you everyone for helping me with my understanding. Once I became Born again I viewed all my sins and anything that is against God as disgusting. I Love the Lord and I want to follow Him in all my ways, I just have been so caught up on this issue for too long now that I have lost the True meaning of my faith. I have been doing alot of research on Revelations and alot of people believe that the mark of the best is disobedience to the Ten commandments. I guess that I am so worried of what the mark of the beast may be, that I am scared that I may accept it without knowing it's the Mark.

Thank you and God Bless

(1Cor 3:16)

As a teacher of the Word of God we are exhorted to rightly divide the scriptures. There are many things to take into consideration when rightly divide. Chapter context, biblical context, dispensations ect. We cannot just pick any verse and make it say what we would like it to say. It is not anything that we do that saves us or keeps us saved. It is the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that paid the penalty for my sin and yours. We keep His commandments because we love Jesus and we want to remain in close fellowship with Him. Jesus never leaves us once we are saved. If He did He would have lied because He promised that He would never leave us or forsake us. As a child of God we will not be here when the tribulation takes place. It is during this time that God will judge His people, Israel. And it will be during this time that they will have to take the mark or die.

The New Testement church is under the law of grace.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Anyone that depends on what they do to remain saved has not accepted Jesus Christ's payment for sin. If a person doesn't accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior they are lost. John 3:16-18
