So you believe in re-incarnation? We just go through life over and over again?
Heb 9:27; And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,
-Yes, I do believe in reincarnation. It's not a good thing. Christ gives us the opportunity for release from the endless cycle of death and rebirth. As does Buddha. It may be that when a person dies as a Christian, it means they've reached their last incarnation.
-There's a difference between your soul and your body. The person you are--your name, height, weight, etc--is not your soul. Obviously, the body will die once, as God says, and that personality will face judgement. But the soul is immortal. It will leave the body when it dies, and go on somewhere else, being slightly more evolved as a result of having passed through you. All soul is the same. From the same source. And it will all connect back together, in the end. It takes many different paths to get there. Christ may be the final doorway at the end that leads back to the LORD.
-We are all in the body of Christ. Christ never dies. So how can we?
-..."
men to die once..." ...what about women? Is this one of those cases where the word "men" is also supposed to stand for women, as well? God is usually pretty specific when it comes to the rules as they apply for men and women respectively, isn't he?
-Do you think there is a difference between a person who is raised as a Christian, and a person who is a born again Christian? I do. "Born again." God doesn't mince His words. His words aren't allegories or parables. They're true, it's just that often, there is no word in the English language capable of conceptualizing what He's talking about. So, how can a person be "born again" without having already lived and died once?
Gibberish. What fiction book do you get this from? Not biblical.
I assume you're talking about the doctrine of reincarnation? And by 'fiction book,' you mean the revelatory works of Hinduism and Buddhism? For an adherent of one religion's holy book to call another religion's holy book a 'work of fiction' is a case of 'the pot calling the kettle black.' Religious people should be the first to understand the nature of revelation and accept to accept the testimonies and beliefs of other religions. Not to do so reveals that you don't really understand where scripture comes from. There is one God, many names. Omnipotent, omnipresent. God speaks to everyone, all peoples. Do you believe that God is the kind of Guy to trick billions of innocent people into an erroneous set of beliefs so that he can have the fun of burning them eternally in hell?
Death always comes from God. Death should not be feared as God should not be feared. Death serves God afterall. Death is only like a door, it is a sort of baptism from the life you lived on earth to the life you will live with God. That is, if you have Love. Without Love, there is nothing. Love is a word we misunderstand. God is Love. When you love, deeply in your heart, God is present.
It is the one thing Satan rejected, Love aka God. It is the only reason Satan can never reenter heaven.
Without Love, your faith is like a gong clanging in the wind
I agree that the most important thing is the way you treat people: with love, or without. More important than faith. You don't necessarily have to be a Christian to be allowed into heaven. There are many rooms in God's mansion. It comes down to how you treat people.
I hate to tell you this, there is no reincarnation. That is Hindu thinking.
I realize with so many various cultures and characters who will claim all sorts of things. Finding the Truth may seem difficult.
There is a difference in Christianity that all other religions fail. Jesus is real. His being on the planet was witnessed by many. And the proof of the pudding, Jesus being God. Is alive today. You dont need to be a Christian to experience Jesus. But if you are sincere in you heart, He will come to you. You will have no doubts in your mind when He comes.
Buddha was also real. As was Moses. And Mohammed. These other religions don't fail in this account. If they weren't real, their religions never would have survived.
In fact, as the case may be, Christians are probably the hardest pressed of them all to prove Jesus ever even existed. The fact that there are so many other myths that existed well before Jesus that contain all the exact same elements of the Christ drama makes it seem as though somebody took them all and put them together and made Jesus Christ up. But he most certainly did live, die, and was resurrected, as the New Testament says. The thing is, though, unlike the other prophets, after Jesus rose into heaven, all trace of his earthly incarnation vanished. His facticity was removed from history, leaving only the effects of his legacy, in order that his body may be a gateway for the holy spirit to flow through to the rest of us.
